  1. GOD these pictures are truly treasures! The color one of Tara and Kate in the Martin living room is priceless.
  2. I'm clueless as to who Remy is and what the original and more recent storylines were about...
  3. I may have shared these before, but here are some screencaps from the 20th anniversary episode that I basically printscreen'd from YouTube years ago. Charles and Mona visiting with Kate. Tara and Chuck's wedding. Charles gives Erica a WTF face when she accuses him of being deaf. Ann arguing with Paul about their daughter's health. Adam talking to Stuart about Cindy. Brooke and Tom kissing. Tad having a Casablanca-esque dream. Daisy lurking at the masquerade party of 1980. Cliff and Nina at the party. Cindy's portrait. Cliff prepares to marry Nina. Daisy on the witness stand. Erica ho'in for a football team. Jeremy tries to help Erica off of a fire escape. Erica and Jeremy on an island. Erica hugs Mark during his intervention. Erica's twisted "Raising Kane" fantasy. Erica and Nick are discovered in bed by Mona. Erica rolls eyes at Nick. Erica marries Tom. Greg proposes to Jenny. Jesse apologizes to Cindy for being an ass. Jesse and Angie. Joe gives Tara away at her wedding to Chuck. Myrtle visits with Kate.
  4. Kate #1 has a very interesting look. I almost want to say she had sort of an "ethnic" look (like ol' Looch), but I don't know if that's quite right.
  5. Yep, Warren Burton played Eddie on AMC (and got an Emmy for the role), went on to AW, and then played Warren on GL from 1983 to 1987. I wish there was more of early Cliff/Nina on YouTube. It seems like the only stuff we have from Taylor's first run is from when they were broken up and with other lovers. I want to see why/how they became one of AMC's top couples -- I definitely want to see how they managed to get an extremely high-budget wedding complete with location shoot after being on the show for no more than a year and a half.
  6. MARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder if the picture of Mark and Erica gettin' down at the disco come from an actual scene. If so, I must see it!
  7. So in love with all of these pictures, especially the 70s ones.
  8. Uncle Mark is and will always be my #1 fave AMC piece'o'ass. MLM could get it today.
  9. I've tried with this show, but I can't watch it.
  10. Bet was one of the most fabulous characters in UK soap history, and most definitely Coronation Street's #1 diva. She was sexy, rough-around-the-edges, didn't take any sh!t from anyone, but she could also be as sweet as honey, vulnerable, etc. A lot of Bet is Julie and a lot of Julie is Bet.
  11. This man is a damn poet.
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmauMVxHSds
  13. Since this was a popular thread on DTS, I figured we could discuss and share our favorites (and least favorites) in regards to the rest of television. I'm sure we've had this thread before, but whatever. Here's one of my faves.
  14. Uncle Mark should have visited or characters should have visited him. In my dream alternative AMC universe, Josh would have been born onscreen as the son of Erica and Tom circa 1980ish, and he and Mark would have been extremely close. Oooh okay, that's what I figured. Lots of late 70s/early 80s soaps that I've watched have those types of characters, and they add so much to the show. I know Dr. Clader was still making appearances as late as 2003. He was Anna's obstetrician when she was pregnant with Leora.
  15. Carl, I thought you'd like this picture from the EE Facebook page: Of course, I don't think you'd be too crazy about one of the comments underneath -- "Tanya can do better."
  16. I wonder how long Father Tierney was on the show. He was a part of Tom and Erica's wedding (can't remember if he officiated or if he did the homily) in '78. I'm guessing he was someone that Tom confided in.
  17. I like classic movies, but my favorite era really depends on the genre/style. Generally, I'll go for anything from the 60s and 70s.
  18. So, is the show worth tuning into now with Sharon back? What other storylines are going on right now? I haven't watched with any regularity in over a year, and the sudden influx of Moons from last summer really turned me off (even though the Moons' moons were supposed to be turn ons...). I kinda miss the show, but I know it'll feel weird with Pat gone and Janine on break.

  20. I love New Orleans.
  21. Yeah, I'd say Laura's rape should have at least been a two-parter.
  22. Thanks, Carl and Matt! I'd read about the Olympics tie-in storyline, and I figured it had to do with that. EE spoiler/teaser pics can be so bizarre when taken out of context, even for someone who's familiar with the show! I love me some Billy, so I might track down the episode (or at least the Red Button scenes) when they air. Speaking of Red Button, whenever it's brought up, my mind goes back to this masterpiece of a scene between Janine and Stacey:
  23. I saw a picture on Facebook of Billy running in his underwear with his pants around his ankles. Good or bad?
