I enjoyed the second Back to Ours special much more than the first. Simons and Womack both bringing up things that have been mentioned here (Scott Maslen stuffing up on the LIVE episode; the car taking "20 months" to kill Danielle) gave me a chuckle.

ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Eric Nelsen (AJ Chandler, AMC) was on last Sunday's episode of Girls. It was a short scene.

Don't you dare, ever say that again. I couldn't take it. I liked the Alex/Moira story for what it did for Moira's character. She was always up front about using him for sex and nothing more. It showed that she could be a stronger character and not the naive drip she was before. It also helped in buying her with Cain later. And it gave Victoria a hilarious quip where she called her a pie face. "You know, a face shaped like a pie."

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Andy had moved Kerry into his place. He liked her spirit and found her charming. They started hooking up, but Andy was unsure what to do when Kerry wanted a relationship. Amy started sniffing around him and they kissed. All Amy ever did was bitch and moan about being a victim. Kerry was the devil incarnate and how dare everyone not do exactly as she wanted or else they were immoral pigs. She took the Mary Sue trope and multiplied it by a million. It was the actress' fault, too. That nasty dread like thing she always wore didn't help any either.

The old woman is Lizzie, the blind character. The black woman was Adele. She was a minor character when she worked at Eric's factory. She carried over to the Sharma's sweet factory and in 2010 she briefly dated Andy, but he cheated on her with Katie. She then left town. Blame Amy for anything wrong you see in Victoria. She was the most horrible creature. Eric, Val, Victoria and especially Kerry have shined without her. The worst was when she was with Andy. It was torture.

I have never seen anything of Delilah, but I hate her on prinicple for those bangs. I geuss it's ironic that Chas is now sporting them. Katie and Andy both have been the welcome wagons for all newcomers for years. Andy even got to bang a black chick for awhile.

Ben, I refer to Les Dennis' Michael as Winnie the Pooh. He is one of the most dull and irritating creations I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing first hand. Gail needs to be saved from the doldrums. At least I got a classic lovable bastard David scene with him phoning Kylie and lying that Gail had died right in front of her.

You might want to hold off on that. By the sounds of it, Todd's destruction is far from over. The worst part about it is, they could have really done something with him working together and becoming friends with Tracy, but they are determined to make him this revenge seeking schemer. I don't get it. Hopefully Sarah's return will help things. Though the serial killer story started the renaissance of this show becoming fantastic again, I still hate that they killed Carl off, too. I remember being glued to the screen during the climax of his marriage to Lexi on that hospital roof, but he did not have one good story after that. Another Blythe/Blackburn victim.

Ivan (Daniel Brocklebank) is now on Corrie in what I can only hope is an exit story for Sean. Those kind of scenes usually make me squirm (as this one did) where one character goes around the room like a pitbull. It rarely comes off natural and just ends up being cringe worthy for me.

They are one of my favourite soap couples. Both Nicola and Jimmy have totally evolved beyond their original purposes. They are one of the cornerstone couples and bring a lot of heart to the show. One of those risks that have exceeded expectation. Other shows would have probably gotten rid of both of them by now, but I love that Emmerdale has molded them into this new awesome creation. Nicola and Bernice's relationship is also something to be proud of as a viewer.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
They've mentioned their (David/Nicola) previous relationship from time to time. As someone who came into the show after their relationship, it's not really something that makes sense to me at all. They don't seem even remotely suited for who they are now. When I first heard about it, I pulled one of these

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
The tram crash is when I first tried to get into Corrie on a regular basis. I did not last very long. Ivy Makepiece was a real witch. Killing her own mother, disowning her daughter and calling her a whore. So vile. Ralph the rapist son. The thing is, with only the brief descriptions I imagine the plots hit a lot harder and tougher for me. Reading Jack Leeming's bio had my jaw on the floor in one line. "Jack returned to his old house in Victoria Street and resumed his sexual relationship with his younger sister Vicky." The end. I had to re-read it to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

I have no idea. I blame being wrapped up in reading Corrie book character bios.

I've found myself on Corrie-pedia reading the biographies of the book characters never before seen. I find them so fascinating and even shocking. Daran Little did not let up on these people.

I couldn't find an article, but Graham Norton will be having an EastEnders 30th anniversary episode of his show in Febraury. In the blurb on the BBC website, it says it will include past and present stars of the show. I've seen every episode of Graham and watch every week (and have seen what I could of his previous shows), so I'm doubly excited by this. For his current show, the only EE stars I remember being on are Barbara Windsor, Jessie Wallace and Letitia Dean. Wallace is probably a definite, but I wonder who else he'll get.

Carl, I try my best to stay away from story spoilers as much as I can. Watching the shows (I watch all 4, plus Shorty) are much more fun that way, especially brilliant Emmerdale.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Elliott is the one from Shameless. I like him, but I chose the avatar more for the short film it represents called Protect Me from What I Want. It was on dailymotion when I watched it a few months ago. You should check it out if you can find it. The Daz thing annoys me, too. The character last year was Dan's brother, played by Mark Jordon, who was awful. The sad thing about Ali is that the actress is great, but she's stuck with such a lifeless character. Being with wooden, charmisma-less Ruby doesn't help at all. Neither did the nonsensical one night stand with Dan story that didn't amount to anything. Rakesh was in the second episode tonight.

Of all the things I imagined about Rachel's whereabouts, I love that this fantastic show flipped the script and had the shocker be that Jai has had a fake Archie this whole time. It couldn't have happened to a better bastard.
