I previously inquired in 2023, and for a brief period, they had changed the embargo to Fridays, but not too long after, Sundays were put back in the embargo section in the weekly emails. It is what it is. No clue either.
  2. Oh, of course. I'm primarily referring to premiering new shows on Saturdays, lasting no more than five seasons each. This way, they can keep costs down and still air original programming. If anything breaks out beyond expectation (and far exceeding what they may promise advertisers), they can move the show to another night, in that case, to make more money.
  3. During a swearing in ceremony on Saturday, “The Bold and the Beautiful” star Sean Kanan (Deacon Sharpe) and his wife Michele became the first official members of the newly formed Special Services Unit, part of Guardian SPCA, a local chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), in collaboration with State Humane Services. As special service agents of Guardian SPCA, the Kanans are now part of an elite task force dedicated to rallying resources and building support to protect animals and end cruelty. According to the organization, the Special Services Unit is composed of highly skilled and accomplished professionals who bring their unique talents and networks to advance Guardian SPCA’s mission. Additionally, through strategic fundraising initiatives, community partnerships, engaging events, and innovative campaigns, the team will play a vital role in empowering investigations, rescues, and justice for animals in need. “Being able to partner with this amazing division to protect animals is a dream come true for me. I look forward to serving,” said Sean in a statement. Kanan shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) of him and his wife being sworn in. He captioned the post, saying, “Today is a very special day for me and Michele. We were both sworn in as special service agents of the Guardian SPCA, formalizing our commitment to fighting animal mistreatment and arresting individuals perpetrating these crimes.” Watch the couple being sworn in below. Based out of Wildomar, California, Guardian SPCA is a nonprofit dedicated to preventing cruelty and promoting the health and welfare of animals through investigations, rescue services, community outreach, and education. The organization operates independently under the SPCA model, which was first established in London in 1824 to prevent cruelty and promote kindness toward animals. 6. It still could be cheating, and it being something she couldn't tell Tessa, specifically if she "cheated" (that implies knowingly doing so) with a man. Since being with Tessa, has Mariah displayed anything that would imply her attraction to men?
  7. Errol replied to Errol's topic in Rules
Not your fault. As I said, the show doesn't seem to enforce it as every other (legit) site has already posted them.
  8. That's what happens when you are successful. What others see as a hit show, particularly if it were on another network, another sees as a burden on their network due to other shows performing better. See Blue Bloods: 14 seasons, ranks sixth for the season, yet still canceled. If we could start programming Saturdays again (with advertisers willing to pay good rates), we might see shows staying on longer. Sadly, that's not the case, and space is limited, as shown by CBS canceling "The Equalizer" earlier today.
  9. When it comes to posting weekly spoilers on the SON Community, please be advised that there are stringent embargoes put in place for "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." To help clear up any uncertainty, please keep the following in mind when posting weekly spoilers: Beyond the Gates Note: Although there is some confusion as to the show's official embargo lift time, as the BTG publicity team only specifically states all video/promo materials are embargoed until Friday at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT, to keep things in order, the official embargo lift time for spoilers we will adhere to is the aforementioned Friday at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT. Emargo Lift: Friday at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT. The Bold and the Beautiful Note: The embargo officially lifts on Sundays (no set time). Although the show does not seem to enforce this in practice, Sunday is the official embargo lift day provided by the B&B publicity team. Embargo Lift: Sunday (not set time) General Hospital Note: The embargo officially lifts on Fridays at 3:00 p.m. ET/noon PT. Although the show does not always send spoilers before the embargo lift, as it frequently sends information after the fact, Friday at 3:00 p.m. ET/noon PT is the official lift day/time provided by the GH publicity team. Factoring in Nielsen’s “Most Current” ratings data, inclusive of Live+7 (09/23/2024 – 04/14/2025), Live+3 (04/15/2025 – 04/17/2025) and Live+Same Day (04/19/2025 – 04/20/2025), the network’s primetime lineup (excluding sports) averaged 4.99 million viewers, up +14% year over year, with 13 shows in the top 20, far exceeding its closest competitor NBC, which had just four shows, led by “Chicago Fire” (7.850 million). 11. ABC‘s broadcast of the primetime special “President Trump the First 100 Days: The Interview in the Oval Office” attracted 3.959 million viewers on Tuesday, April 29, with the program ranking as the most-watched of the night in overall viewers and the No. 1 non-sports program on broadcast and cable among the key sales demographics, according to Live+Same Day ratings data by Nielsen. The hour-long interview, conducted by ABC News senior national correspondent Terry Moran, was President Donald J. Trump‘s first and only interview released in honor of his 100th day in office. During the interview, the president was asked a wide range of questions, including whether the United States is more respected now than it was before he took office in January, the deportation of an alleged MS13 gang member, and former President Joe Biden’s mental acuity, among other topics. In addition to winning its 8:00 p.m. time slot among Total Viewers, the special also took the hour with non-sports programming in Adults 25-54 (693,000) and Adults 18-49 (475,000) with the network outdelivering CBS (3.665 million, 433,000 and 264,000, respectively with an encore of “FBI”) and NBC (1.929 million, 513,000 and 324,000, respectively, with “St. Denis Medical”/“Night Court”). Demographically, the special generated the network’s best performance in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 in 10 weeks, since February 18, 2025. Following its broadcast on ABC, “President Trump the First 100 Days: The Interview in the Oval Office” is now available to stream on Hulu, Disney+ and ABC News Live, the 24/7 live streaming news service featuring live events, breaking news and analysis from around the world. In March, “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” was renewed for a ninth season by BET, set to premiere Wednesday, July 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Production recently concluded in Atlanta. In the Season 8 finale, Andi (KJ Smith) must decide whether or not she wants to make things work with Robin (Austin Scott) before he possibly walks out of her life forever. 13. As another point of reference: THE VIEW Tue, 4/22 0.22 0.32 60 Wed, 4/23 0.20 0.28 60 Thu, 4/24 0.24 0.34 60 Fri, 4/25 0.17 0.26 60 Summary: 0.21 0.30 240 VIEW-ABC Mon, 4/21 R 0.14 0.22 60 So, for GMA3, its worst days were Tuesday and Friday, while for GH, its worst days were Wednesday through Friday. Again, there were no preemptions, interruptions or notes provided by Nielsen that would explain these terrible demos for either show. Similarly, as noted above, The View did below average on Friday, but performed adequately the rest of the week, with Thursday performing really well for the show. At the same time, B&B/Y&R did better than they have during the bulk of the 2024-2025 television season during the same week, with B&B and Y&R seeing some really good numbers on Wednesday and Friday in particular. What is it about CBS that they had no problems with retention, while ABC essentially tanked? Yes, I did see the BTG 0.16 Women 18-49 rating on Thursday, which was also the lowest day for B&B (0.22 rating). Not sure what happened there, but it doesn't matter since both picked up their numbers on Friday.
  14. For comparison purposes (to GH): GMA3: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Mon, 4/21 0.15 0.21 60 Tue, 4/22 0.12 0.21 60 Wed, 4/23 0.15 0.19 60 Thu, 4/24 0.14 0.19 60 Fri, 4/25 0.11 0.19 60 Summary: 0.13 0.20 300
  15. I knew most of this, and I stand by what I said. This story is stupid. If she could run it from Genoa City, there is no reason she needs to be in Italy just because she lost two employees who left their jobs to work with their boyfriends, which in itself is stupid.
  16. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if it is Vanessa Marcil. That said, that's assuming someone "so unexpected" is not already on screen. Not sure if the tease was casting-related whatsoever, since the tease was more about performers at the ball.
  17. That is such a stupid way to exit the character, even if temporarily, IMO. Why would you have Summer fly to Italy to find replacements for Chelsea and Sally, both of whom live in Genoa City? Couldn't she find someone else in Genoa City? I mean, Claire could always infiltrate yet another part of Summer's life. Lazy.
  18. Using a creative show-within-a-show promotional approach, “General Hospital” is preparing for the imminent return of the Nurses Ball with Mistress of Ceremonies Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) giving the fictional Port Charles affiliate station WXPC a wide-ranging interview detailing what the denizens can expect during this year’s event. “The General Hospital Nurses Ball is back. After sitting out 2024, Port Charles’ longest-running charity event returns next month with plans to be bigger and better than ever,” says George Pennacchio, the ABC7 Los Angeles entertainment reporter appearing as a version of himself who is a news anchor for WXPC, introducing a video segment released on Wednesday, April 30 across the daytime drama’s social media channels. George Pennacchio ABC “Our own Robert Nunez got the scoop from the mistress of ceremonies herself, Lucy Coe,” continued Pennacchio, introducing the interview with Coe, conducted by the referenced Robert Nunez, who in real life is the director of communications at Disney General Entertainment Content (formerly the Disney/ABC Television Group). “It’s the event of the season, of the century, and also everybody gets involved for such a good cause. Money, HIV, AIDS research, and care. We’ll be calling you for some bucks, baby,” says Lucy, talking about the event’s return. With Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) underwriting the Nurses Ball in its entirety through his company, SR Worldwide, Lucy notes she has big plans that will see individuals who have rarely, if ever, performed on stage. Some of the people she highlighted include returning favorites Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and the Magic Milos, as well as “Somebody that is so unexpected that it just takes your breath away. And I have some big plans. So just wait.” “General Hospital” ABC With the event set to kick off on Tuesday, May 20, Lucy shares, “May is perfect. That means the people can perhaps wear skimpier gowns because it’ll be warm.” Speaking of gowns, she reveals to Nunez that she’ll have to “kill [him] if I tell you this secret. These gowns are top secret. No one sees them till the day, so shut your mouth. Watch the full segment below. 20. “The Bold and the Beautiful” original cast member Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) will be the first guest of 2025 on “Bold Live,” the only digital talk show dedicated to the daytime drama series, hosted by the half-hour soap opera’s supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk. Scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT, the live event will see the iconic star talking about the latest happenings on the daytime drama series, including a preview of upcoming episodes and answering pre-selected questions. She’ll also likely discuss the soap opera’s recent fashion show that saw the appearance of reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, social media influencer Markell Washington, and Lauralee Bell, who plays Christine Blair on “The Young and the Restless.” Plus, she might even talk about where things stand now between Brooke and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and the upcoming return of Jack Wagner as Nick Marone. Ahead of her appearance, Kasprzyk is soliciting questions on X (formerly Twitter) that the show’s fans might want him to ask Lang during a special edition of the YouTube series, which generally features guests on Fridays. “Bold Live” is produced in Los Angeles from the offices of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” within the show’s Television City studio. The talk show began in June 2021 with its first guest being actor Don Diamont (Bill Spencer). This marks Lang’s fourth appearance on “Bold Live,” with her last appearance taking place in January 2023. 21. As Toups prepares his post, I'll just say what is freaking me out. GH did a 0.11 in Women 18-49 and a 0.23 in Women 25-54 on Friday, April 25, marking a series low in the former category. This is without the show having any noted preemptions or interruptions, and not being a repeat! For context, this is how the show performed during the week of September 30-October 4, 2024, which was impacted by MLB coverage on ABC: Mon 0.19 0.32 60 Thu 0.14 0.22 60 Fri 0.17 0.22 60 Summary: 0.16 0.25 180
  22. Well, there you go. Didn't sound interesting to begin with.
  23. Hunter King has been cast as a series regular in a potential spinoff of "The Neighborhood," which has a backdoor pilot in the season finale. Unless something changed in that regard, she's not looking for a return to Y&R, at least not this year.
  24. What specific word were you using? There might be a hook that blocks words that might be slightly similar. If it doesn't post (for obvious reasons), you can email me.
  25. After a three-year run as Summer Newman on “The Young and the Restless,” actress Allison Lanier is exiting the role as of the Friday, May 2 episode, she announced on X (formerly Twitter). “I’ve loved the journey and learned so much but it’s time to grow in a different direction,” she wrote in a post, adding, “Very grateful for all of the ‘Y&R’ fans who have supported me.” Before her announcement on Wednesday, Lanier’s most recent post on the social media platform was a repost from last November by the show’s official handle (@YRInsider) which saw her and co-star Conner Floyd (Phillip “Chance” Chancellor IV) visiting the set of KCAL News, a non-network affiliated Los Angeles station owned by Paramount Global, parent of CBS, to promote the Chips4Kids Toy Drive. In a bit of irony, as the social media craze continues with AI-generated doll size designs of fan favorite characters, Floyd re-posted an image earlier this month on his Instagram story timeline, first posted by user @so_soaps_baby, indicating that the pairing of Chance and Summer were officially done, captioning the post “RIP Summance,” the couple name for the characters. @connergfloyd/Instagram Reportedly, the show has no immediate plans to recast the role of Summer Newman as the character will be rested for the time being. Lanier made her on-screen debut as Summer Newman on the May 17, 2022 episode, formally replacing Hunter King in the role. During her run on the show, Summer returned to Genoa City as the wife of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) before the couple later broke up. Later, Summer began a relationship with Chance Chancellor. In 2024, Lanier received her first-ever Daytime Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of Summer Newman in the category of Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actress. Outside of “The Young and the Restless,” Lanier’s other acting credits include a starring role in the series “Red Oaks” and the films “It Happened in L.A.,” an official selection screened at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017, “Fish Bones” and “Mia.” Note: The post Allison Lanier Announces Exit From ‘The Young And The Restless’ appeared first on the Soap Opera Network website.
