The downtown city of Salem lights up with orange and red flames as the Salem University Hospital burns to the ground.
Marlena and Hope hold each other and pray their husbands found a way out.
Kayla finds an unconscious Steve on the street. She realizes he must have gotten thrown from his wheel chair during the explosion.
Police and ambulances begin to arrive. Fire Trucks follow shortly. News helicopters and Medical Choppers circle above.

-It's a new day in Salem as Carrie opens her eyes at University Hospital to see Austin looking back at her. They both smile at each other as she asks him if he has been there with her all night. He nods and says there is no place he would rather be.

Victor meets with Rae Cummings(Linda Dano). He tells her the patient is ready when Rae is. Rae asks Victor to give her the details on the patient. Bree Williamson is coming to Salem! No, not as Jessica Buchanon, but as someone new that will get involved with Lucas. This new person's name is Alexis Kafer. Alexis is not a perfect saint and resembles Williamson's character's alternate personality, Tess.
"I am thrilled to have Bree here." the headwriter commented "She's a great addition to the cast and Alexis will not be too big, but she will be heavily involved with the Lucas/Sami/EJ triangle. Whenever I planned this all out, I immedaitely
