Kiara’s heels clicked against the tile granite floor tiles of the kitchen as she walked to the refrigerator and took out a bottle of mineral water. Her long brown hair was in a neat bun at the top of her head and her olive skin was complimented with a cute white lace dress. Her makeup was fresh and her skin looked dewy.
“Oh, you’re back,” Ashley says in a sarcastic tone while walking into the living room dressed in a cami and daisy dukes her long hair loose down to her shoulders.
“Yes, London was quite enjoyable thank you for asking. I always get joy in further refining my craft,” Kiara tells her sister.
She walks out to the patio admiring the view of the city midday. Ashley follows behind plopping down on a black lounge.
“You know just because you’re a grad student at Yale and you had a small role on Broadway doesn’t mean you’re above the rest of us,” Ashley quips.
“Did you listen to the words that came out your mouth? I excelled all my life; while you choice local parochial school as an option I was thrilled to attend one of the top boarding schools in the country. I graduated top of my class and became the only member of this family to attend an Ivy League school. You may not have higher inhibitions but my goal is to be an actress and I never set a goal I can’t achieve,” Kiara says proudly.
“Did you practice that speech? Yes you were a good student but dad’s money and your last name got you into Yale’s School of Drama. And I thought you wanted to do movies and TV? Why are you doing wasting your youth in grad school?” Ashley inquires.
“I’m refining my craft,” Kiara retorts. She sits down on the couch and picks up her Ipad.
“You’re dating the son of a television producer; you’ve had your SAG card since you were 10. You know you could be the lead of a TV show right now. Are you afraid to move out of your comfort zone?” Ashley asks.
Kiara smiles a sly smile. “Let’s talk about you for a moment. What’s this I hear about sneaking into the club?”
“I just wanted to have a night out with the girls so we got dressed up and I went downstairs and partied. We were dancing and having a good time. Dad’s busy freaking out over what this supposedly means for his reputation,” Ashley explains. “I don’t know why he’s so worried about a little small town gossip.”
“Well considering his history as well as that of his father, it’s easy to see why they would be worried about another scandal. Grandma is justified for being distraught over the affairs,” Kiara expressed. She sets her Ipad down on the table.
“Please she got millions in that divorce settlement and then she got money from the tabloids for airing out our family business. She was being spiteful about something she knew about for over a decade,” Ashley said.
“I’m not sure what lies dad covered the story up with but she didn’t know her husband was sleeping with younger women who worked for his company. She would’ve left much sooner had she know. Grandma had class and dignity just like my mother,” Kiara said.
Ashley rolled her eyes. “Oh here it comes! More my mom versus your mom crap. I know dad left your mother for mine and you’re jealous.”
Kiara leaps from her seat. “That couldn’t be further from the truth,” she bellows. “Our father cheated on my mother with a younger version of her and he’s rumored to have slept with quite a few women in this town. I’m happy she was able to flee in time.”
“And just like grandma she took a nice chunk of change with her,” Ashley pointed out. “I don’t believe those rumors about dad having affairs despite how my parents got together.”
“You are more naive than I thought. Let’s hope you never discover any of our father’s hidden secrets. I knew I should’ve spent the rest of my break in New York with my mother,” Kiara turned and headed back inside.
"It's not too late for that," Ashley snaps.
Mr. Harrington walks in the living room.”Kiara, when did you get home?” he asks.
“Very early this morning, daddy. I was tired and wasn’t in the mood to talk,” she replies.
He can feel the tension in the room. “What’s going on here?” he inquires.
“Ashley tried to insinuate that my mother and your mother are nothing but gold digging whores,” Kiara says. “The daughter of one however has no place judge.”
“Because you’re just Little Miss Perfect,” Ashley derides.
“Kiara! You don’t talk about your family that way,” Mr. Harrington raises his voice in a stern tone.
“I’m sure others do. You and your wife can try and keep up the façade but I see right through it. I see something much more deep past the shallow surface,” Kiara says stomping off.
“What was that all about?” Mr. Harrington asked.
Ashley shrugs. “How should I know? She woke up in a bad mood, I guess. It was the usual back and forth until she brought up our family and reputations.”
“What did she say?” he asks.
“Something about not brushing off every rumor about you; that we’ll find some out to be true,” Ashley recalls.
“You weren’t buying into that were you?” he asks cautiously.
“Please, ain’t nobody got time for that,” Ashley laughs before adding. “Let her throw her little hissy fit. She lives here with us so she can’t be mad for long.”
“I hope you’re right. One thing I’ve learned from my own mother is to never mess with a Harrington woman when she’s angry,” Mr. Harrington noted.

PREVIOUSLY on HEAVEN'S MEADOW:
- Hayley realizes she had an alcohol-infused one night stand and finds herself on the ledge.
- Jack told Blair he had a boyfriend.
- Lucas has a prisoner.
- Skye has a secret.
- The mystery woman changes her plan.
(Hayley is standing on the ledge. Tears are streaming down her face. Her entire body shakes as she looks down at the road 23 stories below her. She inhales sharply and reaches one hand behind her, grabbing the railing. With her other hand, she raises the bottle of vodka to her lips and takes a sip. Her hands shaking uncontrollably, a large splash of vodka splashes onto her chin and robe. Sobbing, she throws the bottle behind her and hears as it smashes on the balcony. She wipes the makeup soaked tears from her eyes one last time, and lets go of the railing. Just as she begins to lose her balance, a hand reaches out and grabs her arm, steadying her.)
James: You can't do this, Hayley.
(She turns to look at him through her blurry, tear soaked eyes.)
Hayley: Oh, don't pretend to care. You don't even know me.
James: Maybe not, butI know damn well that I'm not about to let you jump off of this ledge.
(He reaches out and wraps his arms around her waist, lifting her over the railing and back onto the balcony.)
Hayley: Leave it to me to have a one night stand with someone that actually gives a damn.
James: You honestly expected me to let you jump?
Hayley: I didn't expect you to be awake.
James: Well, thank God I was.
Hayley: Just because you pulled me off of one ledge doesn't mean I won't find another.
James: Look, I don't know what's going on in your life, but I know that this isn't the answer.
Hayley: You're damn right. You don't know anything about my life. You have no idea what I go through every single day. And you have no business interfering in my personal life.
James: You can say whatever you want, but I don't have to know you. I don't have to know you, to know this isn't the answer. My mother killed herself when I was 5 years old, and it has haunted me for my entire life. And I know who you are, Hayley. I know you have children at home. And I'm not letting you do to them what my mother did to me. I'm not letting you take the coward's way out.
(Hayley slaps him across the face.)
Hayley: Don't you ever call me a coward. How dare you.
(At this point, tears are once again streaming down her face. She stumbles away from him, and inadvertently walks barefoot directly through the shattered glass on the ground. She winces in pain as blood begins trailing from her foot.)
(James moves towards her.)
James: Let me help you.
(Hayley looks up at him, a mixture of pain and hatred in her eyes.)
Hayley: You stay away from me.
(She limps backwards throw the doorway and into the hotel room. She grabs her purse from the chair, as well as her clothes from the ground, and stumbles from the room wearing nothing but a silk robe and her underwear.)
(Inside Skye's club. Blair is standing with Jack and Billy.)
Blair: Excuse me?
Jack: This is Billy. He's my boyfriend.
Billy: It's nice to meet yo--
(Blair cuts him off.)
Blair: Jack, I don't have time for your games. I have a lot going on right now.
Jack: Mom, this isn't a game.
Blair: You were livid at me for sending you to boarding school, and even more angry that you had to stay for the summer program. And what do you do? You skip school and pull a stunt like this.
Jack: This isn't a joke, Mom.
Blair: You expect me to believe that you're gay? You expect me to believe that you skipped school and hitch-hiked to New Hampshire to tell me that you're gay?
Blair: Well, I don't believe you.
(Her voice cracks. She turns and walks away from them, to the other side of the room. She picks up a stack of papers, and begins fumbling through them. Jack moves towards her.)
Jack: Mom, please. I need you to--
(Blair swivels around and cuts him off.)
Blair: Why now? If this is true - Why now? In the middle of your summer term, you show up and tell me you have a boyfriend? You could have waited a few weeks until I visited. But you expect me to believe your story, when you show up here and drop a bombshell like this? I know you, Jack. You're up to something.
(Jack is chocked up. He swallows the lump in his throat and chokes back tears.)
Jack: Mom, I couldn't take it anymore.
Blair: Take what?
Jack: The bullying.
(Blair is visibly taken aback by this. Blair and Jack lock eyes for a moment. Tears well up once more in Jack's eyes, and he turns away from his mother. He walks several feet to the other side of the room and sits at an empty table. Billy, still standing by the door, glances towards Jack, and then Blair. He moves across the room towards Blair.)
Billy: Jack and I met in chemistry class this past year. We became friends instantly, and eventually it progressed to more. I've been openly gay for about a year now, and once Jack and I became close, he felt comfortable enough with me to admit that he had been doubting his sexual orientation.
Blair: And you just swooped right in and took advantage of that?
(Jack stands, visibly angered by this remark.)
Billy: I never came onto Jack. But once he accepted it, we began to explore our feelings for one another.
Blair: Jack, when did you start having these...feelings?
Jack: Last year...For Shane. I know I treated him horribly, and that's why. When my friends started bullying him, I hated it. Because from the minute that I met him, I felt...something. Of course I was in denial about it, and so I started bullying him harder than anyone else so that no one would know. But I hated it, because I had...feelings for him. Everything that I did was to cover that up.
(Blair sighs and rests her head in her hand for a long moment.)
Blair: Well, what is this that you said about bullying?
Jack: It was late at night, and Billy and I were down by the water. We shared a kiss, but we didn't know anyone was around. Apparently one of the guys from the football team saw, and he told everyone. The next day I came back to my room after class and someone had broken in. My room had been completely trashed, and they spray painted...
Blair: What, Jack? They spray painted what?
Jack: They spray painted the word fag on my wall.
(Blair is visibly horrified. A look of sheer heartbreak spreads across her face. In that moment, all denial that she had was wiped completely out of her.)
Blair: You're serious.
Billy: He is.
Blair: Why didn't you tell me this sooner?!
Jack: I didn't tell anyone, Mom. It would have only made things worse. But I couldn't handle it any more. The harassment was too much. Everywhere I went, they would call me names and mock me. I know I deserve it, after what I did to Shane...But I couldn't handle it, Mom.
(Blair stands. There are tears in her eyes now. She moves towards Jack, who also stands. She embraces him tightly for a long moment.)
Blair: I'm so, so sorry baby. Everything's going to be okay.
(Inside Lindsay's apartment. She is standing near the door, with Tad. There is a suitcase next to her.)
Tad: I can't believe I just got back, and now you have to leave.
Lindsay: I know, but there's just something that I need to take care of. And now that you're officially living here, we'll see each other so much more. No more back and forth to Pine Valley.
Tad: Thank God.
(The two kiss.)
Tad: Where are you going again?
Lindsay: To Seattle, to see my sister. She's had some crisis or another, and asked me to come see her. Always the drama queen, that Melanie.I'll be back in two days, okay? There's food in the refrigerator for you, and plenty of towels in the linen closet. Oh, and--
Tad: Lindsay, I'll be fine! Go! Before you miss your flight.
(The two kiss again. Lindsay grabs her suitcase from the ground. She opens the door, and steps into the hall, closing the door behind her. Tad moves across the room and has a seat on the couch. He reaches for the remote, but before he can turn the TV on, his phone rings. He picks his phone up off of the end table and looks at the caller ID: "Call from: Dixie Martin"
Lindsay stands in the hallway. She opens her purse and takes out her plane ticket. It reads: DESTINATION: Pine Valley, Pennsylvania. She speaks quietly to herself.)
Lindsay: I hate lying to you, Tad. But it's time I pay an old friend a visit.
(Inside the WAVE Studios. Hayley sneaks in through a side entrance, still wearing nothing but underwear and the long silk robe - which is now tied. She creeps down the hallway and towards her dressing room. When she gets to her dressing room, she is surprised to see the door already open. She peers in and spots Brianna packing things into a large cardboard box. She enters the room.)
Hayley: What the hell are you doing?
(Brianna looks up, visibly stunned to see Hayley there.)
Brianna: Hayley...We didn't expect you to show up today. It's so late already.
Hayley: Don't deflect the subject Brianna. What the hell are you doing in my dressing room?
Brianna: I shouldn't be the one to tell you this...
(Before Brianna can finish, Hayley storms out of the room and down the hall into the large open room containing the set on which the show is filmed, as well as the camera crew, snack table and makeup touch up table. She spots Lucas on the other side of the room and marches towards him.)
Hayley: Lucas, what the hell is going on here? Why is Brianna packing things in my office?
Lucas: Hayley, I...I'm so sorry.
Hayley: Sorry for what? Lucas! What the hell are you talking about?
Lucas: You missed another day of taping, Hayley. I tried to defend you, I did. But...they've decided to let you go.
(A look of utter confusion spreads across Hayley's face for a long moment. Slowly, it morphs into realization, and then anger. Before she can continue speaking, Skye enters the room through a set of double doors across from where Hayley is standing.)
Hayley: You! You did this, didn't you?! You bitch. I asked you not to say anything.
(Skye looks genuinely sympathetic.)
Skye: I didn't do anything Hayley. This is out of my control.
Hayley: No, I don't believe you. No, you did this! You hypocritical bitch. I asked you. I begged you not to do this to me. I should have known you couldn't change.
(Before Skye can speak, Clint enters the room and begins speaking.)
Clint: Skye had nothing to do with it, Hayley. This was my decision.
(Hayley turns around slowly to face him.)
Hayley: Excuse me?
Clint: Your erratic behavior won't be tolerated anymore Hayley. It isn't benefiting the show or anyone involved, especially you. I'm very sorry, but you are being let go.
(Hayley slaps him across the face with all the force she has, leaving nail marks across his cheeks.)
Hayley: You bastard! You came to me. You came to me and told me you respected me, that you respected that this is MY show. But that was just a lie. It was nothing but a lie....You are just like the rest of them.
Clint: I know you're upset, Hayley. But this is your own doing.
(Tears well up in Hayley's eyes and cascade down her cheeks. She turns to storm out of the room but spots Erica Kane standing across the room. An evil glint fills her eyes as marches towards her. She shrieks.)
Hayley: YOU! This was your plan all along, wasn't it? Swoop in here and steal my show because you're such a complete failure yourself. I should have known better than to trust you. You truly are the shallow bitch everyone makes you out to be, Erica.
Erica: You should know I would never do that to you, Hayley.
Hayley: But you did. You did do it, Erica. You slutted your way through Pine Valley for 40 years, and once that well was dried up you decided to swoop in here and cash in on your own daughters death, at my expense.
(Tears well in Erica's eyes. Hayley opens her mouth to speak again, but Skye steps forward and in-between Erica and Hayley. She speaks.)
Skye: Don't do this, Hayley. Don't take this out on Erica, or anyone else. You've made some mistakes, but it's not to late to fix them.
(Hayley pushes Skye away from her and steps back.)
Hayley: Oh, shut UP Skye. I am so sick of your incessant preaching. You are an alcoholic, slut mob princess. And everyone in this family hates you. You may be a biological Chandler this week, but it doesn't mean anyone wants you. We have been pretending you didn't exist for decades, and you begging to be my safe place isn't going to get you back in the will, honey.
Skye: I've been where you are, Hayley. I know saying those things makes you feel better, but it isn't helping. You need to snap out of this denial --
(Hayley cuts her off.)
Hayley: Oh, honey. I'm not in denial!
(She opens her purse and pulls out a flask.)
Hayley: Ladies and gentleman, Hayley Vaughan is off the wagon! And I am loving every damn minute of it!
(She uncaps the flask and takes a swig before recapping it and putting it into her purse. She turns to walk away. She moves towards the stairs, but before she can walk down them, Skye chases after her. Skye grabs her arm.)
Hayley: Let go of me, Skye!
(Hayley jerks forward, attempting to break Skye's grasp. Skye loses her balance and stumbles forward, down the steps. After the fall, she lies unconscious at the bottom of the steps, a small pool of blood on the floor near her head. Hayley looks down at her for a moment, before beginning down the steps. She walks down the steps, her high heels clicking with each step. When she reaches the bottom, she steps directly over Skye's unconscious body and walks out the exit of the building.)
Don't forget to check back TOMORROW
For an ALL NEW episode of
- Hayley realizes she had an alcohol-infused one night stand and finds herself on the ledge.
So it may not be my strongest episode, but I hope this helps set up some more of the drama ahead. Apologies if the tone seems a little disjointed at this point, I'm still trying to figure out the right mix of comedy and drama here, but I think it still turned out okay.
Thanks for reading!
It's buzzing at The Royal. The grand opening is upon us, and champagne is in every glass. Kian, Jason and Peter socialize with the local foodies and press, basking in the glory of their creation. Ryan passes by them, hors d'oevres artfully displayed on the tray in his hands. Jason pulls Ryan over momentarily.
JASON: Can you do me a favour and ask the kitchen to wait ten minutes before serving the mains? I'm gonna have Peter and Kian give speeches, then at my cue, get the staff ready and we'll parade everything out all at once, alright?
RYAN: Got it, boss.
Ryan is about to hastily scurry away, Jason stops him before he does so, and looks at him with a wry smile.
JASON: And don't call me boss. Got it?
RYAN: Yes, b..Jason.
Jason lets Ryan go, and wrinkles his nose, shaking his head.
Jason then goes back to mingling with the crowd, drinking far faster than anyone else in the room. He still manages to come off charming, if a little sloppy.
Kian and Peter shmooze with the press, Kian held close to Peter's side, but Kian's eyes are clearly following Jason instead. Peter's so caught up in having a sexy young guy on his side, he barely notices as he chats endlessly with the socialites around him.
Kian tunes it out and daydreams of he and Jason in bed together. Jason's kiss on his neck and heading south before Peter calling his name snaps him out of it.
PETER: You look like you're a thousand miles away, babe.
KIAN; Sorry, I just...I couldn't believe that all of this was for me. I had to soak it all in for a sec.
PETER: Well, get used to it, babe, cos this is just the start of it for you.
Kian smiles a wide smile and gives Peter a quick peck on the lips, more in appreciation than out of love. Regardless, the group talking with them still beam at them, mistaking their display as a sign of great romance.
As this happens, Jason gets up on the small stage in one corner of the room, clinking his glass with his fork to draw attention to himself.
JASON: Excuse me, everybody. Can I have everyone's attention for just a second, please.
The room grows mostly silent and turns to face Jason, a few members in the crowd still chatter.
Jason points to the source the noise, a twinkle in his eye as he does so. The crowd laughs.
JASON: I wanted to thank you all for coming here, and I have something extremely important that I want to say about someone who is very important to everyone here, but especially to me.
Kian looks to Jason with eyes darting. Kian shakes his head at Jason hoping to avert a disaster, while Jason looks relaxed and ignores Kian's worries.
Down on Queen West, Darren chats with his friend, artist Calvin J at his art show. Out of the corner of his eye, Darren spots Alexis come into the gallery. Alexis' face drops and she turns sharply to the bar, avoiding contact with Darren as much as possible. Undeterred, Darren excuses himself and heads over to Alexis.
As Alexis picks up a glass of wine at the bar, Darren startles her with his greeting.
DARREN: HEY baby, what's up?
ALEXIS: You want me to spill this all over the place?
DARREN: Sorry, baby, if you spilled, i'ma buy you another.
ALEXIS (unimpressed): How gracious of you.
DARREN: Come to think of it, I might just buy you one anyway.
ALEXIS: *sigh* This may come as a huge shock to you, but you're actually nowhere near as suave as you think you are.
Darren grabs at his chest.
DARREN: MY HEART!
Alexis rolls her eyes, takes a sip of wine as she walks away.
DARREN: Wait wait wait, wait a minute, girl. Come here, I got someone I want you to meet.
ALEXIS: If it's your mother, I don't think we're at that stage of the relationship yet.
DARREN: Yet. Cha-ching! Progress.
Alexis follows him reluctantly, shaking her head at his theatrics as he takes her over to meet Calvin.
Back at the restaurant, a beautiful black woman in her early 40s enters the room in a dazzling red gown. Her hair done up in a tight bun, she looks every bit as beautiful as a woman in her 20s, but twice as graceful. She stands at the back of the room as Jason makes his speech.
JASON: I'm glad you're all here tonight for our grand opening. It really means a lot to me and Kian, and Peter of course, that you're here to help us celebrate the launch of this amazing new restaurant.
Kian winces at Jason's remark. He knows the comment was unintentional, and realizes he's overthinking things, but worries that there's a possibility some buried resentment at Jason's status as Kian's hidden lover will make its way into Jason's speech.
JASON: The Royal will be one of a kind in this community, a restaurant of fine food for everybody. And we have two very important people to thank for this...Kian and Peter.
The crowd applauds as Jason motions them to step up. Kian is unsure of what's going on, still deep in thought, while Peter, eager to grab the spotlight, races up to capture the glory of the moment.
PETER: Thank you, everybody. Thanks for coming out, and even greater thanks to my talented, and loving partner, in life and in business...Mr. Kian McClary.
The applause continues as Kian finally steps up on the stage.
PETER: Kian is probably the finest discovery I've ever made. Not only is he one of the best chefs in the country, but he also has quite possibly the best taste in the world. Not only for his food, but for choosing an old lug like me.
Peter jabs Kian in the side, as the audience laughs. Kian laughs along with them but a slight discomfort is still visible in his face.
As Peter continues to go on about how great he is, Ryan stands in the doorway of the kitchen, ready to lead the night's parade of great food with the wait staff. He notices the beautiful black woman in the doorway and can't take his eyes off her. She gives a seductive smile and turns back to Peter. Ryan smiles back clumsily, then looks back at the stage as well, waiting for Jason's cue.
PETER: ...and that is going to be the key to our success.
JASON: Now without further ado, let's all raise our glasses to The Royal.
As the call goes out to raise their glasses, Ryan's handed a glass of champagne by another member of the wait staff, Jason motions to Ryan to hand it over to the woman he was looking at before. Ryan quickly scurries over to her and hands her a glass.
RYAN: Here you are, Madam.
MARY: Call me Mary. And thank you, handsome.
RYAN: You're welcome.
Ryan shuffles back to his corner, as the room prepares to toast.
JASON: To The Royal
ALL: To The Royal!
Alexis toasts with Darren. She's had a few drinks by now, but still seems put off.
DARREN: You look like you could kill someone, and I don't think I've crossed that line yet.
ALEXIS: You're teetering on the edge, but no, you haven't.
DARREN: Then I guess I better watch my step.
ALEXIS: Trust me, you're nowhere near as bad as some people tonight.
ALEXIS: I wasn't supposed to be here alone tonight but--
DARREN: But you got stood up and now you wanna get your mind off it. I get it. I know the feeling.
ALEXIS: Why does that not surprise me?
DARREN: Now YOU'RE teetering on the edge.
Alexis laughs and orders another drink. Darren finishes his and sits a little closer.
DARREN: You really better slow down, you know.
ALEXIS: I'm a big girl, and I don't need some he-man looking out for me.
DARREN: Nah, it's not that. I just know a lot of girls who think they can handle their booze, then they end up trippin' over their heels and throwing up on some dude's Cadillac.
ALEXIS: I feel like there's a story there.
DARREN: You have no idea.
ALEXIS (laughing): Well come on, tell me!
DARREN: Only if you promise to let me walk you home.
ALEXIS: Hmmmm.....I think considering we're both going to the same place.
ALEXIS: I think I could handle that.
ALEXIS: Now don't get too excited. I don't want you getting the wrong idea.
DARREN: Promise. I'm a gentleman. I treat you like a lady.
ALEXIS: Good. You know you're a lot less annoying after a few drinks.
DARREN: Well thanks a lot, lady. What you tryin' to say?
Darren gets in closer and tickles Alexis a bit. Alexis, whose defenses are now fully and clearly down, is actually enjoying the attention, which passive, distracted boyfriend Ryan never gives her.
ALEXIS: AH! Stop it. (laughs). Come on. TELL ME! Tell me the story.
Alexis looks up at Darren, who leans in to kiss her. Alexis at first recoils, but it's only momentary. She leans back in to reciprocate.

Monday, March 19th
Anna is having coffee with John at the estate.
Anna: I know this was quite short notice, but I needed your expertise immediately.
John: It's fine, my day was slow today and I always like to help out a friend.
Anna: You've probably already heard the news about McGregor.
John: That shocked the heck out of me. What's going on?
Anna: Apparently, it was some software error.
John: But you suspect otherwise.
Anna: Cassandra was the first to make the news public, she had the scoop. It just seems as if she had
some inside information.
John: Wouldn't be the first time.
Anna: She's committed corporate espionage before?
John: It's how she started in the corporate world.
Anna: Well, if she has a spy in McGregor, I need to find out who it is.
John: Spies are usually long gone after they deliver their information.
Anna: Makes sense, but I haven't a clue about who inside the company it could have been.
John: Low level staffers can do a lot more than you'd ever imagine, even temp workers.
Anna: And we have a lot of those.
John: My advice would be to have Yvette and Joseph keep everything very airtight right now, keep as much between them and board as possible.
Anna: Investors will want to know.
John: Secure communications over a secured network.
Anna: We already have that.
John: Not the kind I'm talking about. My firm has some special software that is made especially for this sort of situation.
Anna: All right, I'll tell Yvette to contact your firm.
John: We will get you squared away.
Anna: Thank you, we've never had to deal wit a spy before.
John: In this economy, it's more common. Everyone wants to make a quick buck.
Anna: When we find out who it is, they will be dealt with accordingly.
Yvette and Joseph are discussing the selling of assets at McGregor, when Leonard walks in.
Joseph: Afternoon, Leonard.
Yvette: Yes, we were expecting you.
Leonard: First things first, since some of our board members can't be present constantly throughout this crisis, they suggested that I
speak collectively for them.
Yvette: That's fine, just as long as we have clear communication.
Joseph: Here is the latest, we have liqudated seven stores already, plus several unused properties.
Yvette: And unfortunately, we are expanding into furloughs. We have to let a ton of people go just to free up the cash.
Leonard: Is that enough to fill the shortfall?
Joseph: Not just yet.
Leonard: I'll report that to the board.
Yvette: I'm sure you will.
Leonard: Just a word of caution, I've talked to some investors, they are growing more restless.
Joseph: That's not a big surprise. We are working on unloading the men's line next.
Leonard: Now that ought to fetch a pretty penny, that's a gold mine.
Yvette: That's why it's up for sale.
Joseph: We did get some good news today, the bankers granted us an extention.
Leonard: Yes, that's fantastic news.
Joseph: It still is uphill from here, though.
Leonard: I've got to go, but please keep the board apprised.
Yvette: Of course.
Yvette: I think it was him that called Mom and let her know about this mess.
Joseph: Why would he do that?
Yvette: I have no idea, but he's been the most vocal since this happened.
Joseph: His family does own stock, he's probably just protecting their investment.
Yvette: Could be, but I still think he's a little sneaky.
Joseph: His uncle was a loyal board member and although he was abrasive at times, he was reliable.
Yvette: I don't know. At this point, I need to focus strictly on the shortfall.
Joseph: We are closing the gap, if we get lucky with the men's line sale, we are in the clear.
Yvette: The offers I am getting aren't quite enough.
Joseph: I do have one potential offer, but I don't know if you'll like that buyer.
Yvette: Who is it?
Yvette: Absolutely not, after all the trouble he caused us, I wouldn't trust him.
Joseph: He sounds like he's changed and besides, if he's willing to buy the line, it's a clean sale and we owe him nothing.
Yvette: You've got a point, I'm just very leery about everything now.
Joseph: Hey, I have my reservations too, but if it comes down to his offer being the one saves this company from falling apart, then we have to take it.
Yvette: I still cannot believe that this happened. Everything had been going so well.
Joseph: Let's keep it together and stay focused, we can't afford to miss a step here.
Yvette: It's just overwhelming, especially now that Mom knows.
Joseph: We had breakfast this morning, she wasn't pleased that we didn't inform her immediately.
Yvette: I got the same talking too.
Joseph: Motivation, that's all I see it as.
Cassandra and George are at WNOV's studios.
Cassandra: So, what do you think of my new station?
George: You've done well fixing it up, but
Cassandra: There's a but.
George: I think you goals are all wrong.
Cassandra: Listen, I know that the McGregor story was to your liking, but is is news.
George: Which you have used to continue your games.
Cassandra: This goodie good act doesn't fit you
George: I grew up bitter and full of anger, hatred. It didn't feel good and I had to let go.
Cassandra: I'm not bitter and angry at all, I'm running a business and finally doing for myself.
George: I am glad you doing that, but I can tell you still are consumed with anger. I don't like to see that.
Cassandra: Call it what you like, it's your opinion.
George: When are you going to see what this is doing to you?
Cassandra: It's filling up my bank account, that's what it is doing.
George: You already ended up in trouble with the SEC over your antics, you may not be able to beat them again.
Cassandra: That is for me to worry about and trust me, I'm keeping my powder dry.
George: I guess that's the best I'll get from you.
Cassandra: Worrying about me is not something you need to be doing. Focus on what is going on with you.
George: I'm just afraid I'll end up implicated in something you've done.
Cassandra: You should have no fear of that.
George: Please, keep it like that.
Cassandra: Everything I'm doing now, I will own and very happily.
Sterling walks in.
Sterling: Cassandra, some of our advertisers want more time, what should I tell them?
Cassandra: Give it to them, with the money they pay, it's a no brainer.
Sterling: Cool, I'll get back to them.
George: Your old partner in crime is helping out, now I know you're headed for trouble.
Cassandra: Like I said, you need not worry about me.
Carol arrives at Yvette's office. Yvette's assistant shows her in.
Yvette: Good day, Carol.
Yvette: I was a bit shocked at you wanting to make an offer on any of our assets, especially since
it would help save McGregor.
Carol: I see a lucrative buy and I go for it. I know how strong your men's line is and I'm confident I can make it stronger
under the Donahue banner.
Yvette: We are looking for the best offer, because it is such a gold mine.
Carol: I'm willing to offer you over market value, in fact, double.
Yvette: Seems you really want this.
Carol: Oh, yes.
Yvette: Double market value is good, but I do have to run this by the board.
Carol: Expected procedure. My bank is ready to cut a check within minutes of this deal being accepted.
Yvette: You definitely are well prepared to close a deal.
Carol: This is a rare opportunty, acting fast was something I didn't have to think about.
Yvette: It has it's risks for us, handing our best asset to our main competition could be suicide. But, our options are limited.
Carol: You know my offer, so I'm going to make my exit and let you sort things out.
Yvette: We'll get back to you soon.
Carol: Oh, I know.
Carol passes Joseph as she leaves.
Joseph: What's she doing here?
Yvette: She put an in offer for the mens line, double market value.
Joseph: Not hard to tell why she wants it so bad.
Yvette: Yep. So, what did the rest of the bankers say?
Joseph: Bad news.
Yvette: How bad?
Joseph: They've seized our main stores.
Joseph: And each day that they don't get a payment, there is a penalty.
Yvette: We can't cover that.
Joseph: I know, at this point, we'd have to have someone else buy into the company just to cover cash flow. We just
don't have enough to sell.
Joseph: George offered to help.
Yvette: If he gets into this company, it's trouble.
Joseph: I'm afraid that he's the only one we can go to, no one else would be willing to buy into the company, he'd do so
just to protect the family company. I think he may be sincere
Yvette: Not long ago, he wanted to bring us down, now he wants to help? I'm not holding my breath.
Joseph: It's worth a shot. We can't lose what Mom and Dad worked so hard to build.
Yvette sighs and looks conflicted about what to do. Fade out.

Tanisha’s finger gripped closer to the trigger. Until she hears someone coming towards her.
Put the gun down T.
You actually showed? Nice tux.
Could we have a gunless conversation?
I need to do this.
Then what? You get caught? You go to jail? That’s not a life I want to see you lead.
What the hell do you care about me Bernard?
I’ve always cared about you T. Just lower your riffle. We’ll walk away and you and I will be together. How does that sound?
Tanisha lowers her riffle. He puts out his hand for her to take.
You can trust me T.
I just want you to take care of me Bernard.
Tanisha decides to give into him. She places her riffle over her shoulder and they walk off. Not seen by anyone.

Another couple sat at a table that was covered in white. Ava drank water as did Nate.
You stormed out the other day I didn’t get to hear what you thought of my speech.
I thought your speech was beautiful. You almost had me in tears.
You couldn’t have told me that afterwards?
Ava you already had a support group. One in particular.
Referring to James?
One and only.
Ava gets a call on her cell phone. She looks at the caller ID.
I bet that’s him right now. Go ahead. Take the call.
Ava stands up to take his call. She shields the receiver to tell Nate how she feels about him.
You’re acting ridiculous!
Hey what’s up?
Hey I know this sounds weird but I’m in the area. You’re at this big wedding that’s going on right?
Yeah I am.
Ava begins walking.
Where exactly are you?
Do you know the boat house? I’m parked near there.
Oh I see you.
Ava waves to James. He sits on the hood of his car.
What are you doing here?
I came to say good bye.
What? Why are you leaving? I thought everything was going good here.
It really was. I reconnected with you and I found Bobbie. But I just think that it’s time to move on.
This seems like déjà vu.
Nate overhears the two talking and decides to interrupt them.
That sounds like a great idea James. Pack your things and leave.
Don’t do this.
I also wanted to tell you that I think you two make an amazing couple. You both have become two good friends of mine.
So you’re not trying to steal Ava away from me?
Of course not. I’d be lying if I said that there weren’t reacquainted feelings towards her when I came back but seeing you two together just made me realize that I’d only be a burden if I stayed.
I’m sorry for acting like a jerk.
You were being chivalrous. That’s a good trait to have.
I’ll miss the psycho babble.
At least this time we’re saying bye on good terms. If you two ever want to hang or if you want to talk about Bobbie or visit her grave together. You have my number.
Ava hugs James good bye. Nate shakes his hand. James gets into his car and drives off. Ava looks at Nate.
So are you done being jealous?
Yep. I’m actually quite secure with myself. I got my job back with the school board and I have probably the prettiest girl in this whole entire town standing right in front of me.
Why don’t you move in with me?
(taken off guard)
You’ve lived in that damn hotel for so long now. It’s about time you feel right at home!
Ava places her arms around his neck and kisses him.

Blake’s parents Edmund and Katrina Hammerton find Lana sitting alone by herself.
Lana you look darling.
Katrina. Edmund. Great to see you.
Can’t believe our boys had a double wedding.
They grew up so fast. I can only remember when they were playing in our backyards.
I know. Time is definitely slipping.
Are you here with anyone?
Lana spots Dylan, Vi, Ryley and Jason talking with Sean.
- - -
London spends time with her family at their table. She sits down exhausted.
Looking good sis.
Better then the first time?
Much better. You have such a glow to you. Divorce doesn’t do that. I should know.
Yeah because you pay your divorce lawyer a crap load of money that you can’t afford botox.
Real funny Brad. And where’s L.J.?
She’s with her pap pap.
Gavin holds baby L.J. and coos at the two-year-old in her party dress.
My baby girl’s been passed along so much tonight.
That’s because she’s such a beauty. Ever thought of having another one?
London looks over at John and Alley.
I feel like I already have. Excuse me.
London walks over to speak with the both of them but is pulled away by Blake.

Sean enjoys the moment he’s sharing with his children and his family.
Tell us more about Cancun Uncle Sean.
It’s a very beautiful and exotic location. I lived there for three years.
Maybe we could take a family trip there.
Yeah I’m sure that wouldn’t have disaster written all over it.
Dylan you’re such a lucky guy. You have us all here in the same place and nothing’s gone wrong.
Don’t jinx it you guys. Mom’s still here…alone.
Hey could I have a minute with our father?
Jason, Vi, and Ryley leave the father and son alone.
Ryley’s right. This is a nice family moment.
Thank you for inviting me. I didn’t know where we stood.
You’re my dad and I want to make the effort to get to know you. Carrie convinced me.
She is a fantastic girl.
Where’s you date? I thought for sure you’d be bringing Kellan.
Kellan and I are no more.
Yeah. He turned out to be a different person from who I met. It just didn’t work out and I’m fine with that.
Carrie finds Dylan talking to Sean.
There you are. There are so many guests here I can’t keep count. Sean you look handsome.
And you look heavenly. Like a picture out of a magazine. Why don’t you two have fun. Enjoy this special night.
Sean walks over to Lana.
What do you want?
Great. I’d propose we get drunk and hook up but I have a feeling you would disappoint me in the sack like you did in life.
Lana being bitter gives you wrinkles.
Sean extends out his hand. Carrie and Dylan watch from a distance.
Look at that.
Lana looks at him and laughs.
Let’s dance you old queen!

Back at Rena’s dorm, she steps outside to talk with Lenvy and Will.
We saw Yvonne leave in a huff.
Is everything okay?
Yeah. Better then ever. The good news is that Alicia forgave me. Will you did it. You brought us together. If I could hug you I would.
I actually know that the heavens await for him. His good deed has earned him a passage way to the pearly gates.
That’s awesome! Thank god.
So I guess this is it? You two can go off into the light together.
Unless Will decides that he wants to stay here as a spirit. That was also a possibility. We could float on over to my sister’s wedding.
It’s my time to go. Rena I should be thanking you for everything.
Me too. You guided Will to be a better ghost.
If he was a better spirit it’s because of you. You really are an angel Lenvy. Go on. Heaven’s waiting.
A bright white light begins to shine in the night sky. Will and Lenvy smile at Rena. Rena blows them a kiss and waves good bye.
You ready my angel?
Will takes Lenvy’s hand and they both vanish into the light. Rena felt relieved. She goes back into her dorm to watch a movie with Alicia.

Carlos and Jenny make their way up to the brides' and grooms' dinner table. Carlos shakes Blake’s hand as Jenny kisses London’s cheek.
Where are you two off to?
I have a surprise for Jenny. Sorry but we have to jet.
Thank you so much for coming.
You’re welcome. What an exciting day we had. A victorious one if you ask me. Bye guys.
Carlos takes Jenny away. Blake looks at London.
May I have this dance Misses Hammerton?
Certainly. I was kind of hoping we’d be able to talk with our ex’s.
Now seems like a good time.
Blake leads London to the dance floor. They dance close to John and Alley.
So this is going well.
For sure. The only disaster was hurricane Nan but that just blew away.
Would you like to dance with the bride?
Sure Blake. Just as long as I’m not dancing with you.
Blake fakes like he’s going to punch him. Blake dances with Alley.
We’re having a kid together.
I know. What happened to the times when we were fighting about petty stuff? Now we’ll have something bigger to argue about.
Four parents to raise L.J. and baby…?
I know the sex of our child.
London and John overhear them.
She does? I mean you do?
I know too.
I take it you’d all like to know what I’ll be having? You don’t want to be surprised?
Blake and London shake their heads.
Let’s throw out some baby names.
Presley if it’s a boy. Vivi if it’s a girl.
Those names suck!
What about Matthew if it’s a boy? And Jessie if it’s a girl?
I like London’s idea. Baby Matthew will be proud to be a gift from god.
A baby boy?
Blake hugs Alley and John.
Dude don’t make me slap you. I need to dance with my woman.
John bows to London and goes back to dancing with Alley.
Are you happy with the way things turned out?
I am. I’m even happy for Dylan and Carrie. It seems everyone who deserves to be together, is together.
What do you think of all this wedding stuff?
Not really my thing. You know me John. I’m a simple girl. For me, getting hitched in Vegas would be fun. Because it would be unexpected.
So if I were to maybe slip a ring on your finger. You’d say yes to eloping?
Always and forever Mister Snaldry.
John takes out a wedding ring from his jacket and slips it on her finger.
Eloping will save us so much money Misses Snaldry!
Alley laughs at his joke. The two gaze deep into each other’s eyes and share a kiss as a secretive married couple.

Carrie was being doated on by Michael and Mary Ann. Mary Ann had tears of joy in her eyes.
Oh you look so pretty.
The decorators really knew what they were doing.
Thanks you guys. I feel like the second time around, I was supposed to have my dream wedding go this way. I sort of wish that Lenvy was here to enjoy it.
We didn’t really know her but I’m sure she’s looking over you right now.
You’re right. I bet she is.
A woman and a male’s voice are heard arguing.
What’s going on?
Carrie goes to investigate. She steps off of the dance floor to find Juliana and Victor.
Victor you’re here?
He was just leaving.
Juliana it’s not what you think. I came to congratulate you. I want to be sincere. I promise.
Carrie if you don’t want him here, say the word. I’ll have one of my men escort him out.
I’m family Juliana! I know how important that is to you.
It’s okay mom. We can talk.
I’ll be watching.
Juliana leaves them alone. She hopes it wasn’t a mistake.
Always the protector.
Thanks for coming?
You look pretty. And alive. That's always a good combination.
Look we both know our situation is tainted. So…I don’t know what else to say...let’s maybe try to move on from what happened.
Yeah I agree. Which is why I wanted to get out of here quickly. I just wanted to say. I’m sorry. I should’ve acted differently whenever I found out the truth about us. Instead I went into a downward spiral. I’m a different person. I’ve changed Carrie.
I believe you. I kind of hope that you do stay. Don’t worry about Dylan. If he sees you, I’ll handle him.
Yeah…no…maybe it’s best if I go.
Carrie hugs Victor and smiles. Victor turns to leave but accidentally bumps into Alexia.
Hey no problem.
Are you free to dance?
I planned this whole wedding. But yeah. I’m free to take a break. I sure as hell need one.
Victor and Alexia dance together.

Carlos leads Jenny to the chapel set on "Blue Crystal." Her eyes were closed and her hands were trying to feel anything or get a clue of what was going on.
Keep your eyes closed. We’re almost there.
What are you doing?
Okay. Open them.
She opens her eyes and sees a chapel. Sitting in the alter is Agatha and Ian Hadley. A minister stands in the middle. Henry and Carinia stand to the side ready to film.
What is all of this?
Jenny Fremann. Will you marry me? Here today?
Carlos gets down on one knee to propose with a diamond ring.
Of course I will. But…why are we filming it?
We’re writing your character back into the show.
Your first scene is your marriage to Miguel. We’ll edit the dialogue when the time comes.
And I’m a real minister. But I’m also an actor. This marriage will be binding.
I'm just happy to be here and begged Cairinia to put me in the scene.
I get to play your mother. Eek. I’m super excited. My grand kids are going to be so happy to see me on TV! And no one knows it better then me how much you two have gone through to get to this day. You two deserve this.
Jenny I love you so much and I don’t know I just thought spur of the moment we could do it here. The fans will love it but we’ll have this memory for life.
Jenny is silent. She walks away from him.
It’s a little overwhelming. And maybe a little sudden?
We could just film the scene and get married another time if you want?
No. I’m just worried about something. I’m worried about Nan.
You need to forget about her.
She keeps warning that she’s going to do something. And I need to know what that something is!
So what if she does? She’s out of everyone’s lives, especially ours.
Henry hands Carlos and Jenny a script to look over.
I wrote the script myself. Feel free to add anything. Some of it is in Spanish. Hopefully you’re okay with that.
I couldn’t think of anyone else who better suits me then you.
Usted es mi vida.
There is something that I would love to add.
Te amo chico! Tú eres mi perfección.
Carlos smiled at how good her Spanish was. The two hugged and kissed before walking on the set of their soon to be wedding.

At the bride and groom’s wedding table, Blake and Dylan stand with champagne flutes in their hand. They clink the glasses at the same time with a silver fork. Leon comes around to snap a photo of the couples.
We would like to make a toast. All four of us.
The reason we made the wedding ceremony so short was so that we could say our vows to each other now.
And also because Blake was hungry.
The band drums the joke.
John wrote that. Good one.
I didn’t get to do this at my first wedding and I’m glad I get to do it now. I get to tell you Dylan how much I truly love you. You stood by my side in my most darkest times. Now I get to spend my most happiest times with you. My knight. My hero. My love.
Dylan takes Carrie’s hand into his.
Carrie and I met on this campus. She was troubled and I was lonely. I remember when I first looked at her and thought. Dang. That girl is beautiful. I was really nervous to ask her out. It took me about three tries to do it. The way she answered me was pinning me down to the ground with a kiss. That kiss was one of many.
London turns to Blake and smiles.
For me I came back to life. Literally. When I did there were pieces in my life that were missing. Things changed. The one thing that didn’t change was the love that I have for you Blake. Which is why I get to share my love with eve
Words from new Show runner ML Cooks
I usually don't do these kind of things and rarely give previews. I try to remain "press free" and "interview free"
There has been a lot of chaos and confusion behind the scenes lately on LIS. First it was announced that LIS was back with new episodes after being on a yearlong hiatus. After episode began to air, the show fell into another unexpected hiatus. During that time, show creator Tara Smith was unable to contribute creatively to the show she created. ML Cooks, having already been co head writer for a few years, has laid out a very detailed and dramatic long-term story projection for LIS and the show must go on and it will. Through ML Cooks.
Now with that being said. The episodes that are currently airing right now were written and produced in February of this year. They were supposed to air in March.
Having said that, you may notice some things about to happen that may seem a bit similar to the real “Days of our Lives” and the “Young and the Restless”. What do I mean?
LIS itself has been in the midst of it’s own reboot even before the yearlong hiatus. The reboot never made it to air. In that reboot, I have written in a whodunit. I again want to stress that this was created about a year ago, that I wanted to kill a certain some one off in a whodunit.
So there you have it. LIS will be telling it’s own whodunit. I will not reveal just whom it is here in this press release, you’ll have to read the series to see who it is. The whodunit will serve as a reboot as new storylines begin. LIS will not be dominated with the murder mystery as in Y&R. I am rotating other stories in and out of it.
To get the big storyline started, I am airing a series of three episodes to set up the whodunit starting with episode 460. It will be told in three different parts and will involve legacy characters such as Bill Horton and Julie Williams. Bill Horton is being played by Jerry vor Dorn
Big changes are coming for LIS with a big murder mystery to kick things off.
Stay tuned for some status updates in the casting department.
Drama lives here.

Westwood Park, Ria’s House
Natalia knocks on Ria’s door. Ria opens it up.
“Hey girl. It’s good to see you.” Ria hears the Bryan’s crying in their stroller behind Natalia.
“Girl, I’m not feeling no chill’rens right now. My stories are on girl. I’m trying to find out who killed Diane Jenkins and just who exactly is the real Todd Manning.”
“You and your soap operas I swear.” She says entering her bestfrieds house with her the double stoller.
“Girl you know I hate to be interrupted during my story time. So what is going on?”
“Well I came to see how you were. I have not seen you in a wile. I’ve been so caught up with Bryan, Sabryn and her trial.”
“I’ve been ok. Just taking it day by day. Watching my soaps keeps my mind of my own problems.”
“Well watching your soaps is not helping the cause. So what’s next? Are you going to get treatment for this breast cancer?”
“I have not gotten that far. I’ve been so scared. I don’t know what to do I just can’t’ believe this is happening to me.” Natalia walks over and gives Ria a hug as Bryan Jr the 1st begins to cry.
“Damn girl. Can’t you shut that damn baby up!?”
“It’s Sabryn’s big headed son who keeps being a cry baby. I don’t know what to do. He won’t shut up. I can’t live my life because all he wants to do is be a cry baby like his mother.”
“Well you ever think he needs his real mother Nat? With as much as Bryan charges for his whack as drinks at his club, he need to be hiring you a baby sitter or nanny or something.”
“It’s all about my son. And keeping my family together. I am doing this for my son. You’re right though. Bryan is making a killing of his notorious expensive drinks at his club. I should be able to live out my life to. I should hire a nanny or something to help out with Sabryn’s bad ass son.”
“Do you really have to since Sabryn is going to jail right?”
“To be honest, I really don’t know. It’s looking like Sabryn's lawyer may beat Sabryn’s murder wrap.”
“Wow, Sabryn shot Ashley eight times in front of police. How does she get away with that?”
“I want to know the same thing. But it looks she’s about to. And the first thing she is going to do is come after me and my family. I have to be ready?”
“Well I will say Lisa is a bad ass lawyer so I am not surprised she’ll get those charges against Sabryn dropped. I will say Nat, Sabryn is a strong person. Are you going to be able to go head to head with her?”
“Ria, I’ve won so far. I got her baby’s father, I got her son, and I now got the company she once dreamed of having. Her fashion house is non existent now. I have the life she wants. She can’t touch me.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“I asked Bryan to marry me?”
“Shut up hoe! No you didn’t. How did that come about?”
“Oooo, Ria you would be so proud. I gave Bryan some good p u s s y and I think he is falling in love with me. He is showing me he cares about me. All it took is some good sex.”
“I know that’s right girl. You doin the damn thang. So what did Bryan say? Is he going to marry you?”

Lavender Hill, Karim’s Mansion
Alexis unlocks the door and walks in. She is stunned to see Karim lying naked on a red satin sheet with rose pedals all around him and the floor. Candles are light and the lights are low. Soft music is playing in the background “So Sexual” by Sisqo. Alexis is quite impressed with the scene of romance.
“What is all of this?”
“I’m glad you came. I didn’t think you would come home.”
“And why wouldn’t I?”
“A lot has been going on between us lately. Ladonna, my father and mother, my brother’s suicide, your sister, her child. “
“It has been a lot. “
“I just wanted you to know that I love you and I believe in you. We haven’t had any “us” time. And I felt the tonight it could just be us. So why don’t you get more comfortable and lay here with me.”
Alexis is seduced. Remebering how she fell in love with Karim in the first place. His looks, his body, his sensual eyes. She takes her clothes off and lies next to Karim. He holds her.
“This feels so good Karim. I’ve missed this.”
“I’ve missed you. And I love you Alexis. I apologize about my recent behavior, my drinking and the incident with your sister.”
“So does this mean you are done drinking?”
Karim Looking into her eyes,
“Alexis, I love you, No issues. Not tonight. I just want to love you.” He kisses her passionately. He then pulls back and looks at her once more.
“Alexis I love you and I can’t wait to be a family. You have made me the happiest man in the world. Having my child, it’s something no one else can give me.”
“Karim I love you to.” She kisses him back and they lean back and make love to the music. Alexis makes sure she enjoys this love session with Karim as she knows it could be her last.
Downtown Pasadena, City Jail
Bryan walks up to Sabryn’s cell.
“Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be at home with that tramp Natalia? playing house with my son?”
“That was quite a show you put on with Mike today at court.”
“Was it? The only show I was interested in was the one about me about to beat this murder rap. And you know what is going to happen next when I get out of here?”
“Yea yea same old story Sabryn. Revenge.”
“I can’t believe you are so calm. So you enjoy hurting me Bryan? The only thing I did was love you. How did we get here? Why did you do this to me? Being with Natalia and letting that low class slut raise our son? Why? What did I do to you for you to do me like this?”’
“I was scared! I thought you weren’t going to beat this murder rap Sabryn Jesus Christ you shot Ashley in front of police eight times! How do you except to get away with that? I had to do what was best for my family and Natalia was on the same page.”
“Of course that leech would be. She would do anything to get at me. She’s holding this stupid grudge against me. Well Bryan it looks like I am going to beat these charges. And you should already know when I get out of here I am coming for you and that nasty skank of yours. And of course I will obtain my son. You went too far by being with nasty Natti. That’s unforgivable to me. You have forever ruined us. My son will never know you as his father. So enjoy this time you have with him now.”
“You won’t be able to take my son away from me. I won’t let you.”
“How do you expect to stop me?”
“Well first off, you’re not the same Sabryn. This murder has really brown nosed you. You have lost everything. Your money, your power, and your respect. You don’t have that much to get my son from me.”
“And why is that? Because you had an affair with Ashley. This all stems from that. You did all of this. And I will do some error correction.”
“Natalia asked me to marry her.”’
“You Bastard! A dirty Bastard! I can’t believe I have a child with you. And what did you say? Are you going to marry that whore?”
“You’re going to marry Natalia?” He says walking in on the scene.
“This is none of your business super man.”
“I care for Sabryn. I don’t understand why you here Bryan. I have seen nothing but you hurting Sabryn. She doesn’t need you here rubbing in the fact that you are marrying her enemy.”
“I didn’t say we were getting married. I just said she asked me to marry her. This is none of your business Mike. I have a child with Sabryn and you can’t touch that. Never!”
“Not trying to my friend. It seems you are jealous.”
“That Sabryn and I are moving closer and you wish it was you. You see you’re the runner up. You got Natalia. I got the grand prize, Sabryn. You have hurt Sabryn deeply and that’s just something she will never forgive. I would advise you not to waste your time coming around her.”
“Who the hell do you think you are man?” Bryan tries to punch Mike but Mike blocks his punch.
“ There there now. Calm down. You don’t want to hit the chief of police now do you?”
“Take that title and shove it your mother’s ass Mike.”
“You know Bryan. I’ve dealt with this kind of situation before. I had to deal with Ty taking Jenn away from me. I’ve learned a thing or two from that. And let me tell you I won’t lose Sabryn to you. I mean I know it won’t even be an issue considering what you are doing to her. And look at where Ty is now, in jail. “
Bryan is furious knowing he is defeated just walks off.
“Wow Mike. You were amazing. That was amazing.”
“I’m not going to let Bryan hurt you no more.” He grabs her hands through the bars. She leans in and kisses him.
“Mike, I think I’m falling in love with you.”
Natalia pushes the Bryan’s baby stroller into her new office. She sits at her desk and thinks about what Ria said.
“Bryan should hire you a nanny.” Sabryn’s son begins to cry and Natalia scream out in frustration.
“Shut up damn it!”
“I’m not going to deal with this. I need time to make sure Rufus doesn’t undercut me here at DD. And I have to be ready in case Sabryn is set free. I can’t do all this and raise her damn brat. And now I got Diego back in town playing games with me. I know he’s up to something.” Natalia logs onto her computer and decides to place an add on Craig’s list for a nanny.
Court is now back in session in Downtown Pasadena.
Rufus, Sabryn, Mike, Bryan, Karim, Ladonna, and Alexis are all in attendance.
“State, call your next witness.”
Jack, standing up
“Your honor, my next witness is a doctor and has an emergency at the hospital. I ask for a delay until tomorrow.”
“I see. Does the defense wish to call anybody in the mean time? We can at least get that out the way. This trial is taking to long and taking up to much tax dollars.”
“My pleasure your honor. I call Rufus Taylor to the stand.” Sabryn smile sand looks at Alexis. Alexis rolls her eyes at Sabrina and looks away. She lays her head on Karim’s shoulder and holds his hand. Ladonna notices this sweet scene of romance and is not impressed.
“Do all that while you can Alexis. Rufus is about to expose you.”
Rufus, struts himself up to the witness stand. The chatter increases, as people in the courtroom don’t know what to make of this cross dresser. Rufus is sworn in and Lisa approaches him.
“How shall I address thee?”
“I would like to be called Miss Rue. I’m a bad ass Bitch around Pasadena now. So I need to be respected in that capacity. So it’s Miss Rue.”
“I’m impressed. You know I remember you from trial’s before. You have come a long way Miss Rue. I must say you look nice.”
“Thank you. It’s been a long time coming. And I must say this is only the beginning.”
Alexis standing up
“Objection, this is supposed to be about Sabryn killing Ashley. I don’t pay my tax dollars to hear about this trannys trials and tribulations. My sister is dead; she was assassinated, being shot 8 times in front of police. I want justice damn it!”
Karim pulls Alexis back down as the judge pounds on her gavel.
“One more outburst from you Miss Jones and you will find your self behind bars.”
“She’s getting nervous.”
“Don’t start Ladonna. I have Karim and you don’t It’s that simple. Now just leave us the hell alone. Stop stalking us.”
“She’s right Donna. Just please leave us alone.”
Ladonna, with a tear forming in her eye,
“You’re going to be so sorry Karim.”
“Your honor, I have a method. This is all leading into my point. I am setting it up. Please indulge me.”
“I’ll allow it.”
“Thank you ya honor.” Lisa now walks over to the jury.
“Miss Rue, could you tell us about your relations with the deceased Ashley Jones?” Everyone in the court room leans closer, on the edge of their seats to hear what Miss Rue is about to say. No one is waiting more intently then Alexis and Ladonna.
“I sure can. My relations with Ashley were not pleasant. Ashley kidnapped me and held me hostage. She held me hostage in a place where Mona was. Mona, Abe, and Sharon. It was terrible. It as something straight out of a Saw movie. Ashley kept talking about getting revenge on Sabryn and how she stalked her for months disguised as a lady in red. At the same time Mona was the lady in black. Ashley kept talking about winning Bryan. I even knew that Ashley stole Natalia’s baby, making Natalia believe that her child died when she was shot. Ashley is also the one who shot Natalia at the fashion show. You know the one where Jodie told the world she had HIV. Ashley is evil. Pure evil. Straight from hell. She even used a chain saw to sodomize me. The bitch was so insane she thought she was Jason Voorhees.”
“Wow. It seems the state left all this information out. Ashley has a record of unstable behavior. Ashley was a demented criminal herself. A menace to society. Maybe it’s a good thing justice was served with her death.” The courtroom is outrage. Alexis burst into tears and Karim holds her.
“Oh Karim. How can they just demonize my sister this way? She’s dead. She’s not her to defend herself. This is all so terrible.”
“It’s ok Lexie. I’m here for you.”
“Not for long.”
Lisa, walking over to Rue
“Can you tell us if Ashley was working alone? Was there anybody who was helping her?”
The courtroom is dead silent
“Yes.” Chatter erupts once more. Alexis’s mouth drops and she begins to sweat. Karim looks at Alexis and Ladonna can do nothing but smile out of enjoyment... The time has come.
“Is the person who helped Ashley in this courtroom right now?” A pause is had. Alexis has a burning sensation in her stomach. Karim begins to get uncomfortable as he watches Alexis squirm. He begins to wonder if everything Ladonna has been telling him for months is true.
“Yes they are!”
Alexis and the courtroom are stunned. Alexis doesn’t know what to do. She is about to be exposed. She wants to stand up and stop the proceedings but she knows if she does it will be an admission of guilt and she’ll lose Karim for sure.
“This is not supposed to happen. This is not part of the deal I made with Rufus. He’s going to betray me. I am going down!” She thinks to herself.
“Miss Rue can you identify the person who was helping Ashley? Who is the person that helped kidnapped you and also knew about Mona and all the crimes against the Williams family?” Sabryn, Mike, Bryan, Karim and Ladonna turn and look at Alexis.
“Oh My God.!” She stands up and gives Rufus a look.
Rufus smiles at her
“It was her. Alexis Jones. She knew the whole time Ashley was alive and knew the goings on about Mona. It was Alexis Jones!”
“Alexis, has finally been exposed!”

Everything is fast paced in LA
People are on edge
And for some it's life or...
Lauren is talking with the nurses at the front desk.
She is relieved that Michael is going easier on her.
Suddenly the next patient is rushed in.
The hospital staff gasp when they recognize him.
Drew is being rolled in.
Lauren turns, "Drew? Oh my God."
She rushes over to check him out.
The EMT's update her on Drew's status.
They rush him into a room.
Riley walks inside.
She just got home from work.
She hollers, "Drew? Drew?"
She looks around.
Riley walks into the bedroom.
She then steps into the bathroom.
Riley paces around.
She walks over and looks out the window.
Her cell phone rings.
Riley answers, "Hey Laur..."
Riley's face goes pale.
She has tears in her eyes, "Oh God... I'm on my way!"
An emotional Riley grabs her purse and runs out the door.
Jonah walks up to the courtyard.
Tricia steps outside her apartment.
Riley rushes through.
Jonah looks at her, "Riley are you okay?"
She shakes her head, "Not now Jonah."
Riley hurries past Jonah.
Tricia walks over, "What was that about?"
He shakes his head, "I'm not sure. I used to talk to Riley about everything and now she can barely even look at me. I just hope everything is okay."
Tricia nods, "You're a good ex boyfriend. Most guys would be banging on her door, swearing, and telling everyone her dirty little secrets."
Jonah shakes his head, "Riley doesn't have any. Besides, we're still friends, or at least I hope that we are. She's really caught up with her new fiance."
Tricia sighs, "Well maybe it's time you started focusing on yourself."
He nods, "I guess I've let myself go a bit lately."
He rubs his stomach.
She laughs, "Well I can help you with that."
He shakes his head, "I can't do gyms. I get nervous in front of all those big buff guys."
Tricia nods, "How about you and I go to a park tomorrow? There is a great trail on Winding Way in Santa Monica. It'd be free of charge."
He smiles, "Really?"
She nods, "Sure. You're one of the few down to Earth people here."
He grins, "I appreciate that. Thank you."
Tricia smiles, "No problem."
Tricia walks away.
Jonah has a smile on his face.
Ella returns from a business meeting.
She walks up the steps towards her office.
The second Ella gets up, she sees her office is trashed.
Ella takes off her sunglasses and walks inside.
She hollers for her assistants.
Ella looks around at the mess.
One of her male assistants walks in, "Ms. Simms?"
Ella turns, "What the hell happened in here?"
He shakes his head, "I have no idea."
She scoffs, "No idea? My office is glass and see-through. How the hell could you possibly miss someone coming in and trashing the place?"
He sighs, "I'm sorry, I was working so hard."
She stops him, "Any idea who could have done this?"
He stares, "Maybe one of the employees you let go?"
Ella shakes her head, "I didn't let them go. I fired their asses for failing to keep up on their work with their clients."
He nods, "I'll call the police if you'd like."
Ella notices that nothing is missing.
She takes a deep breath, "I'll handle this. Get back to work."
Her assistant walks out quietly.
Ella sighs, "Amanda you clever bitch."
Violet is walking to the laundry room with a basket.
Chase walks over, "Hey Red."
She smiles, "Hi. You're the actor right?"
He nods, "Indeed I am."
She grins, "That's so cool. Are you dating Ella?"
He laughs, "Uh... not quite."
She nods, "Oh sorry. Probably none of my business. And honestly you could do better, I mean look at you."
Chase laughs, "Okay."
She holds the basket close to her side.
He stares, "Doing a boyfriend's laundry?"
She sighs, "He's not my boyfriend yet."
He nods, "Yet? Sounds like a work in progress."
Violet nods, "Jonah is amazing. Any girl would be lucky to have him. But only some girls out there actually deserve him. And if you ask me, I do."
Chase grins, "You seem to have a high opinion about yourself."
She shakes her head, "I just know Jonah. I've been living with him for a while now and he just gets me. And I get him in a way that other women can't."
Chase nods, "Have you told him this?"
She shakes her head, "I'm sure he already knows."
Chase sighs, "Looks like everyone is coupling out around here."
She smiles, "Before you know it, Jonah will be slapping a ring on my finger. Bigger than Riley's."
He stares, "You don't think you're getting ahead of yourself?"
She smiles, "You'll see."
Violet heads to the laundry room.
Chase watches as his crazy neighbor walks away.
Riley is walking around the waiting room.
She can't sit down for a moment.
Lauren walks over.
Riley sees her and runs over, "Lauren. What's going on? Where is he? When can I see him?"
Lauren shushes her, "Take a deep breath Riley."
Riley shakes her head, "Just tell me he's okay."
Lauren nods, "He's stable now. Riley we knew this could happen."
She shakes her head, "I didn't."
Lauren stares, "Drew said he talked to you about this."
Riley sighs, "I thought he was preparing me for the worst. I never thought that this would happen within the next couple of days. He's seemed fine."
Lauren stares, "He's strong and good at putting up a front. But Drew is getting very weak Riley."
Lauren takes her hand, "He's sleeping, but you can come see him."
Riley and Lauren hold hands as they walk down the hall.
Lauren leads Riley to his room.
They open the door.
Riley cries as she sees Drew sleeping and hooked up to machines.
Lauren nods, "We can take everything off him tomorrow. We just want to observe him overnight and we'll let you guys know in the morning."
Riley walks over and sits next to him.
She takes his hand and kisses it.
She sighs, "I love you Drew."
Lauren looks at them and wonders how life can be like this for them.
The LA residents settle down as the night begins.
David sits in his apartment.
The door opens.
Lauren walks in, "Hey."
He looks at her, "Hi. How's Drew?"
Lauren nods, "He's okay. I finally got Riley to come home. We're going back first thing in the morning. She wanted to stay but I knew Drew would hate having her watch him all night."
David stares, "I'm glad he's going to be okay."
Lauren shakes her head, "For now. David, he's dying. I mean I don't think Riley has accepted that yet. Drew is not going to be there for her in the long run. It's going to destroy her."
Lauren has tears in her eyes.
David puts his arm around her.
She sighs, "I hate being cold. But I want to shake her and tell her that he is going to die and she needs to prepare herself. Is that heartless?"
David kisses her, "No. You're amazing Laur."
Lauren holds him close.
David looks at her, "I'm going to get out of our meeting with McKellan."
Lauren shakes her head, "No. I haven't changed my mind about that."
He sighs, "Lauren."
She nods, "We can't let him run our lives. I know we have a lot going on right now but I really need to get our life back on track. Please David?"
He nods, "Okay."
David and Lauren hold each other close.
The next morning at Melrose Place.
Violet wakes up.
She slowly gets out of bed.
She rushes over to the kitchen to make Jonah breakfast.
On her way she stops to watch him sleep.
Violet is surprised to see that Jonah is gone.
She hollers, "Jonah?"
Violet looks around and checks in the bathroom.
Violet is getting concerned.
Santa Monica Park:
Jonah and Tricia are together.
She looks at him, "Okay we're going to try and jog a mile or two to warm up."
He laughs, "Funny."
She nods, "Do I look like I'm kidding?"
He shakes his head, "Tricia... I can't even walk a mile. I get tired walking up tall flights of stairs."
She laughs, "Come on Jonah. Don't wuss out on me."
He laughs, "Ouch."
Tricia smiles, "Jonah, you are only limited as much as you limit yourself."
He stares, "That sounds like an inspirational poster."
Tricia nods, "Come on. You're smart, funny, and you're in okay shape. If you believe in yourself you can accomplish a lot more Jonah."
He nods, "Okay."
She takes off her jacket, "Let's do some stretches."
Jonah notices her fit tight body.
She nods, "Let's stretch your leg muscles. Get on the ground."
Jonah laughs, "You sure like to boss me around."
Jonah sits down.
Tricia starts showing him some good stretches to start with.
Jonah stares at her body, "You got be kidding me."
She looks at him, "What?"
He shakes his head, "Nothing."
Jonah tries to ignore her sexy body as he stretches.
He constantly tries to think of something else to calm himself down.
David stands behind the bar at Coal.
He looks at the clock.
Mr. McKellan arrives on the dot.
He walks inside and heads towards David.
He smiles, "A meeting today huh? I hope you are not about to do something stupid David. Because that would be a real shame for you and your pretty girlfriend."
David stares, "Is that so?"
McKellan nods, "I always have people tracking her David. Trust me."
Lauren walks over, "Is that so?"
McKellan stares, "What the hell is this?"
David stares, "Sorry."
Lauren nods, "I don't like to be left out of the loop. Especially when it concerns me. Do you understand?"
McKellan laughs, "You are in over your head little girl."
Lauren stares, "First off don't condescend me."
McKellan looks at him, "This is funny?"
Lauren shakes her head, "No it's not. But I'm tired of being used. You want to blackmail David? Fine. But I'm in on this too now. I'm joining your little team."
McKellan looks at both of them.
David looks at Lauren.
McKellan smiles, "You have no idea what you're getting into."
Lauren stares back at him.
Riley walks down the hall.
She heads over to Drew's room.
He is sitting up a little.
Riley smiles, "I'm so happy to see your eyes open."
He stares, "Riley I'm so sorry. I hate that I scared you like that."
Riley smiles, "Don't apologize. You're okay now and that is all I care about."
Drew nods, "You're amazing you know that?"
She sits next to him, "I missed you. I hate not having you next to me when I sleep."
He grins, "I missed you too."
Drew takes her hand and kisses it.
He sighs, "I wanted to put a diamond on your finger."
She nods, "You mean like this?"
Riley pulls out the ring that Drew was looking at the day before."
Drew stares, "Oh my God. How?"
She smiles, "I went and asked which ring you were looking at. And the owner actually gave us a great deal on it. I told him our story and he asked if you were okay."
He smiles, "I can't believe it."
She nods, "People believe in us Drew. Do you feel it?"
He grins, "I'm starting to."
Riley hands him the ring.
Drew looks at him, "I'm tired of wasting time. Riley Richmond, when I get out of this hospital, will you make me the happiest man in the world by making me your husband?"
Riley smiles, "Yes. I don't want to wait any longer to be your wife."
Drew puts the ring on Riley's finger.
The two kiss.
Ella is getting ready for work.
Chase looks at her, "Did you find out who trashed your office?"
Ella sighs, "Someone working for Amanda. Probably Tricia, or Violet, or... I don't know. At this point all I care about is getting back at Amanda. And whoever is working for her is going to pay."
Chase nods, "Just relax El. Go to work and forget about everything. Amanda is in prison and there is nothing she can do to you from in there."
Ella smiles, "You're probably right. I got to go. I'll text you later."
Ella heads out the door.
Chase is now alone in the apartment.
His phone rings.
Chase answers it, "Good timing I guess... she just left... I did what you asked okay? I trashed her office and scared the crap out of her... I hired Ciara, I did a million other things. What else do you want?... I have been working for you and doing everything you say can you please let me off the hook.... hello? Are you still there? Amanda!"

Chloe is standing on the pier. She flashes back to making love to Daniel. Nicole walks onto the pier and walks to Chloe.
Chloe looks at her and starts to walk away.
Nicole: Chloe, please. Wait.
Chloe: What do you want, Nicole? Are you here to tell me about how I’m a bad mother?
Nicole: Chloe, I just want to talk to you. I’m worried about you.
Chloe: About what?
Nicole: You! You wanted a baby so bad, and you finally got Parker, and-
Chloe: And what? I’m neglecting him?
Nicole: Chloe, that’s not what I meant!
Chloe: Do you not understand that I lost everything!
Nicole: You wanted a baby so bad Chloe. You didn’t loose everything! You have Parker!
Sami is standing at the bar in Chez Rouge, on the phone.
Sami: Carrie, I’m just waiting for the food. I’ll be home soon.
Rafe walks to the bar.
Sami: See you soon.
Rafe: So, that’s your home now?
Vivian watches them from her table.
Sami: Rafe, I really don’t want to do this right now.
Rafe: Are we ever going to talk, Sami?
Sami: I need time!
Rafe: How much time? What is going on with you? Your ignoring me, your doing nothing to get your kids back.
Sami looks offended.
Sami: How dare you!
Rafe: Sorry. I didn’t mean that the way it came out.
Sami: You have no idea what I’ve been doing, or how crazy it’s making me!
Sami: Get away from me.
Rafe leaves. Vivian gets up, and walks over to Sami.
Vivian: Hello, Samantha.
Sami: Oh God.
Jenifer, Shane, and Kim walk into the Horton house.
Jennifer: So, when are you guys going back to London?
Shane: I’m going to leave tomorrow.
Kim: What about me?
Shane: Just stay here, Kim. It’s safer for you, and I have no idea what we’re dealing with.
Jennifer: I’m coming. I need to help my cousin.
Jennifer: Don’t give me a lecture. I’m not a little girl.
Kim: Same with me.
Shane looks at them, annoyed.
Billie unlocks the door to her apartment, and her and Bo walk in.
Billie: Do you want to call Hope?
Bo: I’ll call her later. How are you doing? With the accident and everything?
Billie: I’m good. My physical therapist told me I’m doing very well.
Billie: You want a drink?
Billie walks into the kitchen, and Bo sits on the couch. Billie walks in with two drinks. She hands one to Bo.
Billie: Bo, look, I’m really sorry. I had no idea that was Hope.
Bo: It’s not your fault, Billie. I guess it’s better that I knew. I don’t even have a right to be upset.
Billie: Of course you have a right to be upset! Why wouldn’t you?
Bo: She signed the divorce papers, Billie. And I jumped into a relationship with Carly when we were still married.
Billie: Maybe Hope has finally moved on from you.
Bo: I guess so.
Billie puts her hand on Bo’s thigh.
Nicole and Chloe are standing on the pier.
Chloe: Who the hell are you to judge me, Nicole? You think you are set for life, don’t you?
Nicole: What are you talking about?
Chloe: You think you have EJ and Sami’s kids because EJ thought you were a good mother? Please! Even though he’s probably dead, this is still about Sami! He gave you the kids to drive Sami crazy!
Tears start to form in Nicole’s eyes.
Chloe: I hope you know it isn’t going to last long. Stefano will get you out of their lives. And even if he doesn’t, what do you think? Their going to love you? Their going to find out everything you did, and hate you, Nicole! How do you think Johnny already feels, being taken away from Sami, and being with you? How do you think Sydney feels when she finds out that you used her in your scheme just so you can hold on to a man?
Nicole looks hurt.
Chloe: Their going to resent you, Nicole. And you deserve it.
Nicole: I know your hurt Chloe-
Chloe: Leave me alone, Nicole! I’m no fan of Sami, but you are a monster for what your doing to her!
Nicole starts crying.
Chloe: Save the tears, Nicole!
Nicole: That might be true, Chloe. But what about what your doing? You’ve decided to ignore the child you wanted so badly, because your not in the perfect situation! Your not just hurting yourself here; your hurting Parker.
Nicole walks away.
Vivian and Sami are standing at the bar in the Chez Rouge.
Sami: Can I help you with something?
Vivian: How’s your mother? How’s John?
Sami: Great. What do you really want?
Vivian: I couldn’t help noticing your dilemma with Rate.
Vivian: Whatever. Anyway, I feel for you. I know what it’s like. Being used by a man. Being thrown away when something better comes along.
Sami: Vivian, I understand you might be bored with your life, but I’m not interested in being the source of your entertainment.
The waiter comes with Sami’s take-out.
Sami: Thank you.
Vivian: I have some information I would like to share with you.
Sami: Once again, not interested.
Sami walks away, as Vivian sighs.
Bo and Billie are sitting on the couch in Billie’s apartment.
Billie: Maybe you can still work it out with her.
Bo: I don’t know, Billie.
Bo puts his empty glass on the table.
Billie: Do you want me to get you another drink?
Billie gets up, and goes into the kitchen. She smiles, as she pours his drink. She goes back into the living room, and spills the drink on his shirt.
Billie: Oh my God. Bo, I’m so sorry!
Bo laughs, and stands up.
Bo: It’s ok, don’t worry about it.
Billie: Let me try and clean it off.
She moves closer to him, and unbuttons his shirt. Bo looks at her, and she continues unbuttoning. She takes his shirt off, and they don’t move, and continue looking at each other.
Shane, Kim, and Jennifer are standing in the living room of the Horton house.
Jennifer: So, when do we leave?
Shane: Bo hasn’t called. There’s nothing to worry about right now. I’m going to call Hope, and see if she has any news.
Shane leaves the living room.
Jennifer: So, how have you been?
Kim: I’ve been really good. How about you?
Jennifer: I’ve been better.
Kim: I’m sorry about asking about Jack before. I really had no idea.
Jennifer: Don’t worry about it.
Jennifer smiles at her.
Chloe walks into Chez Rouge. She bumps into Vivian.
Vivian: Oh, Chloe! It’s so good to see you!
Chloe: Stay the hell away from me.
Vivian: I get the feeling I did something to offend you.
Chloe: Offend me! It’s your fault my life has been completely ruined! All because of your need for revenge against Carly!
Vivian: So, then you should blame Carly! By the way, it looks like her and Daniel aren’t wasting any time.
Vivian points to a table. Chloe looks as Vivian laughs.
Vivian: See you later, darling.
Vivian leaves Chez Rouge.
Bo moves closer to Billie, and puts his hands around her waist. Billie puts his shirt on the floor, and he kisses her. He stops.
Billie: For what?
She kisses him, as he takes her shirt off. She takes his belt off, and pulls his pants down. Billie leads him to the bedroom, where he takes the rest of her clothes off. They go on the bed, and make out. Bo goes on top of Billie.
Billie: Are you sure you want to do this?
Bo: Are you?
Billie: Of course I am.
Bo kisses her.
Kim Hughes sighed.
It was 2:30 am and she was wide awake. Carefully she slipped out of bed so as not to wake her husband Bob who had been sleeping soundly beside her. She loved hearing the sounds of his snoring so gently. It gave her a sense that they had did the right thing. She missed Oakdale and the time change still needed little getting used to.
In the kitchen Kim put on a sauce pan to heat some milk. Sounds cliche' but warm milk did help her sleep. It had been almost six months since she and Bob had retired from their jobs, sold their home and relocated to Phoenix,Arizona. Gone were the 18 hour days of owning amd managing a television station for her and being Chief of staff of a regional hospital for him.
No she didn't miss the lomg hours, the urgent emergencies and the lack of sleep and rest. Oh she missed Oakkdale. She missed her friemds and loved ones. She didn't miss their constant troubles though. And Susan Stewart. She chuckled as she sipped the last of her milk. Yes,she had forgiven Susan and put the stuff she had done far in the recesses of her mind. But that woman and her daughters were the curse of the Hughes men!
She rinsed her cup and put it in the drainer and returned to the bedroom. She slipped in beside her peaceful sleeping husband and heard the sound of a train whistle in the distance. All was at peace. No worries,no troubles. No emergencies,no deadlines. Not a care in the world.
Little did she know that peaceful existence was going to come to an end real soon! Real soon!
Matt’s change of heart would only fuel Drake’s lawsuit against the hospital, this time solely targeting Matt. Drake would suffer a brief moment of clarity when reporter Bill Avery tried to convince him to drop the suit. Drake would seemingly appear to be at a crossroads until a bitter Emerson came upon him. With an axe to grind against Matt, Emerson would encourage Mr. Corbin to continue his lawsuit against the very hospital he worked for! Emerson would underline the importance of knocking Matt down a peg or two, and getting him out of the hospital for good. Motivated by Emerson’s words, Drake and his attorney would present the hospital with an ultimatum; continue on with this lawsuit or fire Matt. Sitting in on the proceedings as owner of the hospital, Mona would vehemently oppose such an offer. Matt, noticing the toll this would take on the hospital, would begin to consider resigning from the hospital. Days later, when Matt had decided to hand in his resignation, Drake would bump into Emerson and the pair would become embroiled in a heated confrontation, with Drake accusing Emerson of using him to do his dirty work. Drake would threaten to tell everyone what Emerson had urged him to do. In the midst of the argument, Drake would collapse right there in the elevator, his airway swollen. Much to Emerson’s shock, the elevator doors would open up to reveal Matt, stunned to see an unconscious Drake on the floor. With the help of Darren Match, an intern, Matt would execute a successful tracheotomy on Drake Corbin, using only an ink pen and plastic straw while in the elevator. Shortly after stabilizing Mr. Corbin, Drake would later be diagnosed with a case of vasculitis. Matt’s curiosity would be piqued when he’d think back to Emerson admitting that he and Drake had been arguing before the man had collapsed. Matt would wonder what the pair could have possibly been arguing about. When Drake regained consciousness, he’d be under the impression that Darren had saved his life, but soon Mr. Corbin would be thrown in for a loop when he’d learn that Matt was the one who he should be thanking. Faced with such a fact, Drake would experience an epiphany of sorts and call off his lawsuit against Dr. Powers. When Emerson paid Drake a visit to make sure the man would remain mum about his involvement in the lawsuit, Drake would keep the doctor on his toes, not certain what he was going to do. Shortly after reuniting with his family, Drake would decide to leave Madison for good. Shortly before departing, Drake would receive a visit from Matt. Drake would offer a sincere apology to the doctor and thank him for saving his life. Not revealing Emerson’s backhanded tactic to get Matt removed from the hospital; Drake would warn Matt to watch his back with Dr. Mitchell.
Jason and Nola’s daughter fell victim to a rare blood disorder that required a blood transfusion from the girl’s father. When Jessica flat lined and was subsequently brought back to life, it seemed as if Jason and Nola would find comfort in each other’s arms, until Lewis Baker, Nola’s business savvy fiancé walked in. Jason would be rendered speechless upon meeting the man, unable to deal with seeing the woman that he had once and still loved, with another man. As Nola and Jason celebrated the success of the blood transfusion, both would be at odds emotionally about how they felt towards each other.
One night a former john of Carrie’s made his way into Traci’s apartment and tried to have his way with the young woman. Luckily Tom and Traci would be in the next room, and would hear when Carrie signaled for help by knocking over a lamp. Both Traci and Tom would play hero, ending with Traci threatening to hit the guy in the groins with a baseball bat.
Tobias and Greta would continue to grow close, while both Natalie and Darren looked down upon their potential pairing. Darren, having pined away for Greta for years, made it known to Tobias that he didn’t think a man like him deserved Greta. Natalie would echo the same exact sentiments, and mentioned the secret past they shared together. Natalie and Tobias had once been engaged. On the eve of their wedding, Natalie, under the pressure of FBI agents, falsely testified that Tobias was a drug trafficker. With all of this weighing heavily on Tobias, he’d push Greta away, scarring her emotionally. Tobias’s home life would not be a walk in the park either; he had to deal with his violent and lush of a father Burton. Tobias would also have to shield his father’s fierce temper from his younger brother, Cyrus, who sympathized with Burton. Weeks later, good news would grace the Fullard household in the form of a job interview for the unemployed Burton. Were things finally looking up for this suffering family?
Stunned by the fact that a woman of Elizabeth’s age and stature was single, Mona would go against the young woman’s wishes and set her up on a blind date with Madison’s newest arrival, Royce Bryant. Though Elizabeth wasn’t particularly fond of the idea, she’d surprisingly get along with Royce upon their first meeting. However it’d be proven that there existed more to Elizabeth than what met the eye, when she made a cryptic call to someone noting how she had Mona and everyone in town fooled.
It would take a silver ring, for Emma to remember where she had met Walt Richards from. As a child, Emma’s family took in the son of a homeless man. That same young boy who stayed with Emma for many months kept the same ring that Walt wore on his finger today. When Emma confronted Walt with such a fact, a cornered Walt would confirm that her suspicions were true; his real name was not Walt Richards, but Denny Graves, the son of a coal miner in West Virginia. Walt would reveal that after his father died, he went to work for a coal company and after many years of hard work and dedication he rose up through the ranks. Upon amassing great wealth as President of that very same coal company, he changed his name to Walt Richards. Walt would have Emma swear to secrecy about his less than humble beginning, ashamed that his past might taint himself somehow in Mona’s eyes. Emma would reluctantly agree. From then on, Emma and Walt would reaffirm the friendship they had once forged as kids. Walt found Emma to be breath of fresh air, a break from the life he had submerged himself many years ago as the wealthy Walt Richards. He found Emma’s grounded personality charming, while Mona found their bond troubling.

After Tad pulled the car into the driveway, at there new house The Martin House (1219 Hillcrest Drive) and parked before coming around and opening her door, Dixie misted up a bit at the sight of the house. Walking up to the entrance, she smiled when Tad got the keys out and unlocked the door, but when he walked into the foyer leaving her to follow, she stood pouting on the porch, arms crossed.
"Hey..aren't you forgetting something?" - Dixie.
"Oh yeah, sorry about baby" - Tad.
Tad smiled and laughed a bit. He then got Dixie, closed the car door and picked up Dixie, carrying her into their new house and puts her down.
"Well here we are Dixie, OUR new home. Me,ma, and the girls moved in weeks ago so we got everything settled. Lets go into the kitchen and make dinner. I'll do the cesar salad with sweet dressing, you can do the lausugana"- Tad.
"Alright..sounds good.." - Dixie.
Tad and Dixie walked into the kitchen. Dixie checked the fridge, pantry and cupboards but frowned.
"Hmmm..well unless you wanna make a run to the store, doesn't seem like my main course is gonna fly tonight..we could do just, plain old spaghetti if you want?" - Dixie.
"That would be a great idea but now may not be a good time since the girls are coming home" - Dixie.
"Now, I don't see any canned sauce but..oooh hey I got it!" - Dixie.
"What is it?" - Tad.
Cutting through the kitchen to the den and then the back door, Dixie went in the yard and noticed Joe's vegetable garden was still intact
"Ha, perfect..Turns out your dad's garden was pretty well kept all this time. Looks like we got a pretty main ingredient anyway..." - Dixie.
"Well let's get cooking Dixie. I'm liking how this'll turn out" - Tad.
Smiling she tossed the tomato in the air gently and caught it, before she went and rinsed it in the sink and afterward, diced it.
"How you coming with your dish though, honey?" - Dixie.
"My dish is coming along well. Just putting in the curtons, this is gonna taste good Dixie! And the icing on the salad!Yum yum!"
Tad spread the dressing all over the salad and curtons. He grabbed the orange and white cheese, including the slicer just slicing the cheese over the salad, curtons and dressing.
"Well..take that gorgeous dish of your's and toss it in the fridge Master Chef Martin. This sauce isn't completely finished yet." - Dixie.
She said, and put it on low heat and stirred it a bit before walking away from the stove and over to Tad, wrapping her arms around him from behind.
"Mmm..you know though who's even more delicious than that salad though.." - Dixie.
"Tell me...what is it?" - Tad.
She purred, standing on her tiptoes to whisper and nip at his ear a bit.
"Care to work up an appetite before dinner...?" - Dixe.
"Mmmmm..... sure, I love to give you an appitite" - Tad.
Tad picks up Dixie and carry's her upstairs while Dixie kisses him on the neck.Once they're in the bedroom, Tad puts Dixie down on the bed, then closes the door.
"This is my favorite part" - Tad.
Taking him by surprise long enough to get her sweater off, leaving her in just her tank top and jeans. Smirking at him she settled above him before she kissed his lips, down his jaw until she reached his neck. Massaging his shoulders and chest all the while.
"Mmmm..this is my favorite part.." - Dixie.
She purred as she dragged her lips down his stomach, while her hands wandered down to his belt buckle and she easily removed his pants.
"Oh my Dixie, you're a real pro at all this but I am too" - Tad.
Dixie lays down as Tad slowly takes off her tank top and jeans, then he takes off his shorts which makes Dixie smile with pleasure.
"Oh I know it.." - Dixie.
Dixie purred, but when he settled above her, she got a sly look on her face and flipped him back. Nipping at his chest and kissing his abs, her hands massaged lower and lower still til she heard a groan that just egged her on.
"Shhh...." - Dixie.
"I'm all yours" - Tad.
"Mmmm..perfect.." - Dixie.
Dixie teased, coming back up and giving Tad a fiery kiss on the lips before working her way down his frame. Nipping, tasting and teasing him in all the spots she'd spent years discovering, she knew she was driving him mad. Finally though he reached for her and she knew he wanted to kick things into a higher gear. Settling above him they melted into eachother. But when he started moving her head fell back and she sighed. He was teasing her but she needed more.
"Ohh, oh Tad...faster.." - Dixie.
"Oh Dixie....ah......" - Tad.
"Yes..right there..oh!" - Dixie
Dixie exclaimed. Using all her strength she pulled Tad up, and wrapping her legs around him they shared a fiery kiss. Still rocking with eachother, her nails dug into his shoulder before she pulled back to breathe, wanting to look in his eyes.
"With me..." - Dixie.
Sweated up with her hair hanging damp at her shoulders, when he sped up she groaned under the kiss, her legs in a vice grip around him as they were closing in on eachother.
"Yes..so close.." - Dixie.
She nodded, before taking his lips and repeating his name, egging in on. Then finally they both felt the heat and her head fell back.
"Oh God, yes, yes!" - Dixie.
Dixie exclaimed. But it took hearing her name before the stars left her eyes and she caught some air. After they both fell back against the pillows, they untangled and she lay draped over him, completely spent.
"Mmmm..that was good..." - Dixie.
"That was good Dixie....wow.....you're a freak you know that, but in a good way. You wanted this so bad and we did it.....just loving" - Tad.
"Well..what's not to want, you know? You're not so bad yourself." - Dixie.
Tad and Dixie got up, changed clothes, freshened up and headed to the kitchen, finishing up on dinner but then heard a knock on the door. Dixie stayed back in the kitchen, wanting him to let them in.
Tad walked over to the door and opened it. It was Kathy,Jenny and Opal.
"Hey you guys come on in!" - Tad.
"Is she here daddy!? Is momma here!?" - Kathy.
"You wanna know if she's here?" - Tad.
The girls both nod their heads.
"Yes!" - Jenny.
"Well the two of you are in for the greatest luck in your life" - Opal.
"Close your eyes"
The two of them close their eyes.
"You girls ready!?" - Opal.
"Here she comes!" - Tad.
Jenny and Kathy open their eyes and see Dixie!Jenny runs over and hugs her.Stroking Jenny's hair Dixie glanced up and got teary eyed all the more when she saw Kathy looking on nervously. Opal, catching sight of this, walked up and bent over to Jenny's level.
"C'mon peanut..lets' go see what's cookin huh?" - Opal.
She offered, but Jenny pouted and snuggled closer to Dixie, not wanting to move from her spot.
"Aw go on sweetie..don't worry I'm not going anyplace.I promise..I'll even seal it with this.. Eskimo kiss!" - Dixie.
Giggling she leaned closer and budded her nose with Jenny's.Convinced enough to let Opal take her to the kitchen, leaving her and Tad alone with Kathy. Dixie smiled tearfully, as Kathy nervously approached her, sitting near her on the rug.
"Hi sunshine.." - Dixie.
"Hi...so, you..you're my momma?" - Kathy.
"Yeah..I am...My sweet girl..." - Dixie.
She sighed, stroking her hair as she memorized her daughter's face, but spotted a tear running down her cheek.Wiping it away she moved closer, concerned.
"What is it baby..?" - Dixie.
"Nothing I..I just.." - Kathy.
"C'mere sweetie.." - Dixie.
She said softly, before Kathy quickly climbed onto her lap, wrapping her arms around her neck.
"Shhhh..it's okay, I'm here Katie..it's alright.." - Dixie.
Dixie choked out, holding her daughter close as she rubbed her back.
"I love you Momma.." - Kathy.
Kathy sniffled, as Dixie finally broke, smiling through her tears.
"I love you too sunshine, more than the stars and the moon." - Dixie.
"Hey, it's alright swetheart, mommy and I are, the two of us are here with you for the rest of the days of our lives" -Tad.
"You mean that daddy?" - Kathy.
"Yes sunshine, together forever" - Tad.
"Kathy..listen baby, if you have..any questions you wanna ask me or, things you wanna talk about, I want you to know you can always talk to me, okay? About anything." - Dixie.
"Well..maybe there's some stuff but..do we have to talk about it now? I..I'm kinda hungry." - Kathy.
"Well good, so am I" - Dixie.
Tad, Dixie, Jenny, Kathy and Opal all ate dinner and desert. After Tad and Dixie finished eating with the girls and watched a movie with them, finally after a few choruses of You Are My Sunshine, they were both asleep upstairs including Opal. Cuddling up beside Tad on the couch, Dixie smiled at her husband.
"Sweetie, I just wanted to say thanks. You gave me a second chance, you brought me back, and we've had a lot of fun. I just..want you to know I'll be around, whenever you, really need me. I'll find a way back to you." - Dixie.
She promised, before curling up next to him and closing her eyes, in need of a good nights sleep.

Welcome, everyone, to my new fanfic/blog: One Life At A Time, a fic based on the ABC soap opera "One Life to Live"....people also mainly know me as the Creator/Head Writer/Executive Producer of "Life in Salem", a fic based on the NBC soap "Days of Our Lives"....however, I am not particularly enjoying OLTL right now, and have been wanting to take a stab at writing it for ages...and now that it seems you can have more than one blog on SON, I decided now would be the perfect time!
"This is, in itself, an experiment...I want to see if I can correctly write OLTL, and if I can handle more than one fic at once...this fic shall pick up RIGHT after yesterday's episode, NOT today's episode, and right now, I'm not sure how regularly it will air....it will be a slow process, trying to get it off the ground, but I think I can do it, or at least try....again, this may not be successful, but I am very very willing to try and see how much I can handle." Tara Smith explained
Expect more information about the show to be released soon....and the first episode to premiere VERY soon...maybe even today!

Prologue - Present Day
Eleanor (Catherine Hickland) wakes up to the morning sunlight streaming through the window of Henry’s (Sebastian Roché) bedroom in the Von Stadt penthouse. “Good morning,” Henry greets her, stroking her hair. “I haven’t slept that well in I don’t know how long,” Eleanor purrs, nestling into Henry’s chest. “You wore yourself out, or wore out both of us, rather,” Henry smiled. Eleanor got serious, "I’m sure you didn’t realize, but the anniversary of my husband’s death just passed. Things have been so heavy, with Terrence’s death, I didn’t even acknowledge it. I didn’t even know how to commemorate it. How do you honor a man you never knew for sure?” Henry’s demeanor shifted quickly, and seems hard-hit by the reminder of Charles Halperin’s death. “Eleanor, you mustn’t dwell on what you’ll never know,” Henry urges her, with sincere concern rich in his voice. “I know,” Eleanor agrees “I couldn’t sleep very well in the last year, with everything that’s been happening, but last night I felt in control again... I felt safe.” Eleanor’s confession should make Henry feel wonderful. Under normal circumstances, it would.
“You didn’t get into any trouble asking for time off of work on zero notice?” Christian (David Evan Smith) asked Dominic (William Shew) as they carried their duffel bags to the rental car they just signed up for. “I can handle trouble, no problem, just hope I remember how to drive after so much time being ‘strictly subway’ in New York,” Dom winked. The boys get in the car and sit, and Dom hesitates before asking, “You sure you’re not going to get in trouble for disappearing on your life with zero notice?” Christian doesn’t know how to react to the question, “What life? Terrence is dead. There’s nothing keeping me here.” Dominic worries for his friend and foster brother, “Are you okay?” Christian rapidly responds, “I’m fine. Can we just go?” Dominic wonders where to, since they never decided. Christian told the rental company they were dropping the car off in L.A. Christian’s sure they can both find work there... in case they decide to stay. Dominic starts up the car.
Evan Royale (Ian Buchanan) lets himself in to the Royale & Klein Law Offices, and is startled to find Fiona (Connie Fletcher-Staton) sleeping at her desk. Evan sets his briefcase down and walks quietly over to her. With one finger he attempts to brush her disheveled red hair behind her ear, but the motion startles Fiona, a notorious light sleeper. Evan wonders what Fiona’s doing there. “Sleeping, obviously,” Fiona tells him matter-of-factly. Evan inquires about her apartment. Fiona tells him it has a rodent infestation and is in dire need of fumigation. Evan asks about her father’s home, but Fiona doesn’t find comfort there anymore. Fiona sits on the front edge of her desk and Evan sits there next to her. “You don’t fool me, you know,” Evan shares with her, fully expecting this news to surprise her.
Julia (Melissa Archer) returns home to find Carina (Natalia Livingston) sitting in the living room. Carina welcomes her back, asking about the trip. Julia shares that James followed her there and proved himself to be quite an amazing, supportive person. “Careful, your ice is melting,” Carina joked. Julia laughed, before noticing the bouquet of flowers on the coffee table. “Flowers, for whom?” Julia inquired. “For you,” Carina told her. Julia hurried over to them to read the card, impressed further by James. “From whom, should be the question,” Carina warned her, as Julia opened the card to read “Still Think of You... Love, Nathan” Carina is somewhat amused by Julia’s predicament, “What’s that saying? When it melts, it pours?” Carina smiles to herself, returning to the magazine she was reading. Julia is stricken to realize Nathan is still carrying a torch for her.
Thomas (Bobby Steggert) and Rebecca (Lindze Letherman) were curled up together on the living room couch at the Baldwin brownstone, when Jenna (Kari Wuhrer) barged in, carrying a small suitcase. Jenna seems disgruntled, “Ugh, Elizabeth, would you give me a moment alone with my darling half-brother?” Rebecca looked around for someone named Elizabeth, and realized Jenna was addressing her, “I’m Rebecca,” she corrected Jenna, who really couldn’t be bothered with her, “Oh whatever. Beat it,” Jenna tells her. Thomas refuses to let Rebecca out of his embrace, “Isn’t it you who’s supposed to be leaving?” Thomas asked. Jenna resigns herself to Rebecca staying for this, “I just wanted to congratulate you, Thomas. It shouldn’t surprise me that you want an audience for this. But congrats, you’ve finally succeeded in ejecting me from the bosom of the family. It only took you a year. But I will tell you that I have Baldwin Enterprises, which is only growing, and you better believe I’m never down for long.” With that, Jenna leaves, head held high. Thomas doesn’t appear very happy to see her leave, prompting Rebecca’s question, “What’s going on in there?” Thomas thinks, and reveals, “Just thinking of how different my life was a year ago. Before Jenna, before James, before Eddie and Didi... before you, and my dad’s heart attack. So much has happened.”
Opening Sequence (Updated for the 1st Anniversary!)
“And?” Rebecca wondered, and Thomas went on, “I think it’s still been a good year. Starting with you...” Thomas smiled, holding her tighter as he recalled the day he asked her out.
~October 31st, 2007~
“Tutor you? In the same subject that your father also teaches a course on here?!” Rebecca asked, skeptical, in the hallway of Hunter College. Thomas surrenders, “Okay, I’ve just been trying to come up with a way to get you to spend some time with me.” Rebecca is disappointed that tutoring was the best he could come up with. Thomas defended himself, “I’m not good with ulterior motives!” Just then, two EMTs with a gurney rushed past them and made a sharp turn into a classroom, grabbing their attention. Thomas grew nervous immediately. “What is it?” Rebecca asked, sensing his fear. “That’s my dad’s classroom,” Thomas said, chasing after the gurney.

“Fool you?” Fiona claims not to understand. “You play such the strong woman. Fiercely independent. Career-oriented. Strong, moral beliefs. Determined to change the world with law and logic.” Fiona doesn’t see what’s so wrong with Evan’s assessment about her. Evan explains, “You were just given a whopping dose of life without logic. A senseless death. And you’re a bit of a mess now, because of it. It’s understandable, you just need to embrace it. I knew this day would come the moment I met you.”
Evan is sitting with a 30something woman who’s very pregnant, and Evan’s consoling her. She’s obviously upset, though her face is skewed from view. Fiona sits in the waiting area, dressed for an interview. Evan reassures the woman, “You’re doing the right thing, dear. You know I would never steer you wrong... You’re just not prepared to become a mother. There are so many prospective parents out there just waiting to bring a child into their home to shower them with love, stability, and attention. I have a lot of connections through my work and I will make sure this child is placed in a very loving home. It’s for the best.” Wrapping up his conversation, Evan sends the very pregnant woman on her way. Fiona watches the woman leave, then grabs her briefcase and moves to leave as well. “Miss? We’re ready for you now.” Evan told Fiona. “Well I don’t think I am,” Fiona glares at Evan, obviously disgusted with him. Fiona turns to leave again, but Evan halts her, “Miss? I usually like to take a woman out to dinner before she decides that I’m a filthy swine. Care to give me at least that chance?”
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Christian is staring out the car window as Dominic sings along to the radio, which is running show tunes from Dom’s iPod. Christian begins getting lost in thought, and remembers a frustrating rehearsal day from the show where Christian first worked with Terrence (Walt Willey).
“That’s it! We obviously need to break for lunch because you all must be so hungry that you can’t connect with your characters. Go! Eat! Come back as real actors!” Terrence shooed them away, and they left, except for Christian. Terrence seemed to take comfort from the fact Christian stayed behind. “I’m sorry if it’s me,” Christian offered, “I’m probably a little distracted today.” Terrence was surprised, “If you are distracted, it didn’t show. I’d probably be just as frustrated regardless of who I was trying to direct. I’m having a rough day,” Terrence admits, sitting down. Christian joins him on the edge of the stage. “My wife had me served with divorce papers today,” Terrence tells him, though Christian didn’t even know that Terrence was married. “I am... I was,” Terrence shared, “I can’t say I’m surprised, I’ve put her through hell. I just hoped that she might take things better. I guess I mean to say, I came out of the closet to her. And being that she’s worked in theatre for most of her life, I convinced myself that she might be able to accept that her husband was gay. How the hell stupid am I?!” Terrence was practically beating himself up.

Julia leans against her window, staring out, tapping the card from Nathan on her chin. Suddenly, Julia remembers a day when Nathan brought her out that window onto the fire escape.

“Come on, I want you to see this,” Nathan (Jason Thompson) told Julia, pulling her out the window. Nathan’s shirtless, in his boxers, and Julia appears to be wearing his shirt. The light on their faces implies dawn, sunrise. “Happy Valentine’s Day,” Nathan says, romantically. “What?” Julia says, shocked that she didn’t remember what day it was. “It’s our first Valentine’s Day together,” Nathan explains, “And I wanted it to start at the crack of dawn so that I could share every minute with you.” Julia forces a smile and expresses that she’s touched by the sentiment, “But let’s go back to bed... we both worked so late last night, I’m tired, and I’ve never been big on greeting card holidays like this one.” Julia climbs back through the window and goes to bed, leaving Nathan to wonder where he went wrong.

Henry surprised Hattie (Kate Collins) by coming to the office. Hattie tried to give him his messages, but Henry waved them away. Henry instructed Hattie to act as though he wasn’t there. Henry walked into his office and shut the door. Walking around the desk, Henry obviously has a lot on his mind. Henry starts to hear familiar shouts, things he heard long ago, from Charles Halperin (John Schneider).
~Early October 2007~
“You’re a monster! This is how you make your money?! This is how you built your empire? Off of peoples’ weaknesses, their addictions? Their sickness and despair puts food on your table...” Charles railed at his boss in disgust. “And food on yours too, apparently,” Henry replied, unapologetically.

All following events take place non-chronologically, in their respective times in 2007
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~June 2007~ Evan guides Fiona into a meeting room where Herbert Klein (Kin Shriner) has been preparing Fiona’s interview. Fiona’s caught off-guard by Klein, who is dressed like a stereotypical, oily, ambulance-chasing lawyer. Evan is significantly more sharply dressed, but it only implies Evan is more self-aware, potentially more deceptive than Klein, who wears his ineptitude on his sleeve. Evan introduces Fiona to Herbert, who politely stands to greet her and shake her hand, “So you’d like to intern with us here at Royale & Klein?” Herbert asked politely. “Actually, no. I wouldn’t,” Fiona revealed through a hostile expression that she was incapable of hiding. Klein was slightly scared of her.
~October 31st, 2007~ Thomas is sitting in the waiting room of the hospital while his father is in surgery. Rebecca runs up to him, having taken a subway to the hospital when she found out where Theodore was taken. “What are you doing here?” Thomas was surprised Rebecca showed up. “I was worried. Professor Baldwin has always been so nice,” she explained. Thomas was in a bit of a daze, “He’s been in surgery for like two hours... is it supposed to take this long?” Rebecca tried to ease his concerns, explaining that it can be many hours for surgery when it comes to heart attacks. Thomas is frustrated with the waiting, “I can’t do anything... I just have to sit here.” Rebecca asks if he should call someone, but Thomas says no, “I have two half-siblings, but I barely know them... they never come to visit, I don’t think they even really care about him. And my mother... they’re not together, haven’t been for years. The love is still there, and she’d come back in a heartbeat, but... I don’t want to worry her, I don’t even know anything yet.” Rebecca puts her arm around him and he rests his head on her shoulder.
~August 2007~ “You can’t fault yourself for being optimistic,” Christian tried to reassure Terrence. “I fathered two children with her, we’ve been married for over 30 years. I asked her to invest her heart and soul in me, build a family, forsake all others, the whole nine yards. I didn’t realize how good I had become at lying to her. God bless my children for sticking by me,” Terrence adds, “but Emma... she just up and left, didn’t tell me where she was going, or when she’d return. And now this. I guess I just hate having to accept that I have to let one life die in order to let another life survive. I’m just as selfish as my wife told me I was right before she left.”
~Early October 2007~ Charles Halperin storms into his office with a cardboard box, and begins loading it with items, “Consider this my resignation!” Henry follows behind, unmoved by the dramatics, “Charles, you’ve been a valued member of the team here, there isn’t a need for you to resign. I might be able to put together a retention bonus for you to stay on.” “Throw more of your drug money at me and hope I can buy my soul back later, is that pretty much what you’re getting at, Sir?” Charles wasn’t having it, “You valued me as a member of your team because, unbeknownst to me, I was keeping the books nicely cooked for you, covering your crimes and enabling you to keep reaping the benefits. But you’ve lost that now. And once this reaches the authorities and the media gets a hold of it, I may be collecting unemployment, but I sure won’t be relying on the taxpayers money the way you will be, pounding out license plates.” Henry slams Charles’s office door and urges him not to do anything he will regret, “Charles if you’ve done your research you know that my influence is powerful and far-reaching. You do not want to make an enemy of me.” Charles looks betrayed by Henry’s threat, “Wow. So it’s come to this? From getting Employee of the Month to getting a thinly-veiled death threat? Do what you will to me, Henry, but the pen is mightier than the sword, and my influence can be far-reaching as well.” Charles tries to shove past him, but Henry blocks his exit and shoves him back, “You aren’t leaving until this is settled!” Henry shouts, as Charles spins around and bashes his head against the corner of his desk. Crashing to the floor and taking a framed photo of his family down with him, Charles dies instantly. Henry is horrified by the turn of events, and the commotion catches the attention of Leo (Jeff Branson), who barges into the room to find his father standing over Charles Halperin’s body.
~May 2007~ Julia is filling out a chart at the Nurses Station, when Nathan comes off the elevator and greets her happily. “Hey,” Julia smiles to see him. Nathan takes a folded piece of paper out of his inside jacket pocket, places it on the counter and uses one finger to slide it towards Julia. She seems excited and already looks like she knows what it is before opening it. Julia picks it up and unfolds it, eager to read, “Officer Nathan Weber, we are pleased to inform you...” Julia reads, before Nathan jumps the gun and explodes, “I made Detective!” Nathan picks Julia up and spins her around, filled to the brim with excitement. Nathan continues, “All those long hours, all my hard work, the stakeouts, the busts... it’s all paid off! I had to come over right away to tell you. We need to celebrate! What do you say we go to the top of the Empire State Building and announce to the city that there’s a new Detective on the force with the NYPD that’s ready to protect the streets?” Julia’s excitement deflates as soon as Nathan mentions the top of the Empire State Building. Nathan instantly notices. “What? What is it? Whenever I share a happy moment with you, or try to, things coast for a little while, and then I say something and the air just gets sucked right out of the room.” Julia denies Nathan’s statement, telling him she hates it when he starts to question her like a suspect, or crack her like a tough case. “You are a tough case!” Nathan shouts, and then remembers to lower his voice in the hospital, “It’s like you won’t let yourself have any happiness, and it makes me wonder why you even bother to be with me?” Julia realizes Nathan’s right and she has been derailing their relationship.
~June 2007~ Evan explains Fiona’s stance for her. “Well Mr. Klein, it appears Ms....” Evan refers to Fiona’s application, “... Applewhite... has come to the conclusion that I am morally reprehensible and unfit to sign her bi-weekly check. Care to state your case Ms... Applewhite?” Evan puts her on the spot... Fiona seems engaged by Evan’s challenge. “Well... fine. I witnessed Mr. Royale telling a woman, convincing her, though she was obviously distraught, that she was incapable of being a mother, and advising her to give her baby up for adoption.” Evan waits for her to continue, but it seems she’s done. “Is that it? My my, you really do need this internship, you’ve so much to learn. Ms.... Applewhite, are you a mother?” Evan asks. Fiona concedes she’s not. “Exhibit A!” Evan exclaims, “Ms.... Applewhite is NOT a mother. Therefore she knows not the emotional, financial, and social challenges a new mother faces in her day-to-day life!” Herbert Klein seems to be enraptured by this mock trial. Evan continues, “Ms.... Applewhite, what is the extent of your personal history with the defendant?” Fiona’s confused, “The defendant?” Evan’s frustrated, “YES! The defendant, the woman whose honor you are determined to defend, the defendant!” Fiona concedes that she doesn’t know the woman. “Exhibit B!!” Evan exclaims, louder than before, “Ms... Applewhite bears no knowledge of, nor shares any personal history WITH the heretofore unnamed defendant. Therefore she has no grounds to make judgments to the contrary that said defendant is unprepared for the challenging task of motherhood.” Fiona protests, “Now wait a minute!” But Evan refuses to wait, “Ms... Applewhite, please state, for the record, the extent of your personal history with the accused.” “I have none!” Fiona concedes, infuriated. “Exhibit C!!!” Evan shouts, before Fiona interrupts him. “Shut up! Enough of your exhibits. Okay, I am not a mother. Okay, I don’t have all the facts. But aren’t you supposed to be civil servants? To carry out the wishes of your client, not tell them what those wishes are or should be? Who are you to tell her she’s not mothering material?! No, I’m not a mother, but I have one, and I know what one can endure and what one can’t. So don’t you DARE tell me that as a woman that I can’t stand up for someone who is being forced into a decision by someone who just wants to collect the legal fees!” “ORDER IN THE COURT!” Herbert Klein pipes up, caught up in the drama of the argument... “... sorry,” Klein apologized a bit more timidly. Evan steps up to defend himself, “Ms... Applewhite. Royale & Klein are highly regarded legal COUNSEL. People, usually in distress, turn to us for legal advice because they consider us knowledgeable about the law, about life... For you to come in here, and pass judgment on me so quickly, tells me I would never select you for any jury in my court cases. But for a woman who is such a spitfire that she would challenge me fearlessly... It tells me you have much to learn, but possibly much to teach me. Perhaps over dinner... and breakfast the following morning?”
~August 2007~ “I’m sorry,” Christian rubbed Terrence on the back, bringing about a tense, close moment between them, “And I know that there’s a lot of raw emotion for you right now. But I think once you get a little more perspective on this, you’ll see this was really the best thing you could have done.” Terrence wants to laugh at Christian’s reassurance, “you are so young,” Terrence reminds himself about Christian. “And age is just another political standard used to separate and polarize people,” Christian responds, surprising Terrence again. Christian continues, “You’re hurting. Emma must be too. But what’s done is done! The damage is the maximum it can be, you’re going to what, un-ring that bell and things will flip back to the way they were? The greatest disservice you could do is rob yourself of the life you fought so hard to live because of your guilt.”
~Early October 2007~ Henry explains the altercation to Leo, and that Halperin was planning to expose VSI. Leo thinks fast, and comes up with the idea to stage an accident to explain the blunt force head trauma. But they need to have a believable story. Noticing the family photo amidst the shattered glass of the frame, Henry supposes they stage a car wreck, as if Charles was abandoning his family and swerved off the road. Henry checks Halperin’s detailed date book, and sees that the family should all be out tonight. Leo calls Ford to send him to the Halperin home to take Charles’s clothing. Henry decides to transfer $1 million to Halperin’s account to make it look like he embezzled money to leave town.
~July 2007~ Nathan lets himself into Julia’s apartment, and he’s furious. He finds her sitting on the couch, zoned out. He slams the door, getting Julia’s attention. Nathan raises his arms as if to ask her what’s going on. “Where the hell were you?!” Nathan finally says. “Here,” Julia tells him. “Here. HERE. Tonight was the policeman’s ball. You promised me you’d be there. And what happened this time?!” Julia, still in her daze, told him, “My mother sent me an email.” Nathan shrugged, waiting for more. He grew impatient, “So what? You never talk about your mother. What, is she sick? Did someone die? WHAT!... TALK TO ME!” Julia’s shaken from her daze, and gets up to try to explain, “She found my email... I don’t talk about her because I don’t want her to know where I am. I’ve been hiding from her for years.” Nathan’s anger fades as he realizes she’s finally opening up to him about something. “Why? Is she dangerous? Did she do something? Did... you do something?” Nathan wonders. Julia’s eyes are watering. “When I was younger... I found my father... dead. Hanging. I was convinced my mother did it. But I had no proof. Just my gut feeling. This gnawing sickness I felt... like she knew more about it than she said. When she was giving her statement, the surprise she was expressing... it seemed so fake. So as soon as I could... I left. And now she has my email address. And it’s only a matter of time before she figures out where I am.” Nathan looks betrayed, completely gut-punched. “I don’t believe you,” he says, shocking her.
~October 31st, 2007~ Thomas lifts his head from Rebecca’s shoulder when he hears her crying, “What happened? Why are you crying?” Rebecca brushes off Thomas’s question, “It’s nothing. I’m sorry.” Thomas persists, and Rebecca finally admits, “The last time I was in this hospital, my mother came to identify my father.” Thomas realized Rebecca only recently lost her father in a car accident, and was instantly apologetic, “I’m so sorry, Rebecca, I haven’t even thought of what being here would mean for you.” Thomas quickly switches roles with her and takes Rebecca into his arms, putting things into perspective since his father very well could survive this.
~August 2007~ Christian tells Terrence that coming out was difficult for him too, “I’m sure it’s hard on everyone in different ways, but I was in foster care growing up. I didn’t know anything else, I didn’t believe the family that said they wanted me to stay forever because it had never been true. I always moved. Something different happened with the Fields, though. They really seemed to mean it. And the adoption went through! I was so happy, and I felt that I could really tell them anything. We were on our way to family dinner out because it was Saturday night. I mean, these people taught me what a tradition was supposed to be, gave me that sense of stability. So we’re in the car, and I just blurted it out. My father swerved, and we struck a car in the other lane and our car flipped over. I didn’t even get to hear any kind of reaction outside of the shock that made my father swerve. I couldn’t take it back, I couldn’t say I was joking. It was just done. Over, in one night. And I cried for weeks. These two people were dead, two people who wanted nothing more than to love me and give a lost, lonely child a home... and they had no reason to pick me. But they did. I used to think if I had just stayed in foster care, maybe they’d have gotten a different kid, and they’d still be alive. But after wrestling with the guilt for years, and landing back in foster care until I was eighteen, I just had to let it go because it was killing me too. And if they died and I lived... if I gave up after that it really would have been all for nothing, wouldn’t it? So I decided to be me again. Honest me, open me, fearless me. Live the life I was born to live. We can’t control the reactions and the pain we cause by being ourselves, we can only choose to hide who we are to not rock the boat and then suffer in a life filled with regret, or we can choose to embrace who we are and take every chance to help people become okay with it over time. And have no regrets.” Christian’s passionate speech impressed Terrence, who felt foolish that he dismissed Christian as ‘so young.’ Christian was obviously an old soul, and some voice within Terrence kept telling him to kiss him. Hoping to embrace a life without regret, Terrence ran his hand along Christian’s jaw and Christian’s eyes closed, affected by Terrence’s strong touch. Terrence took the lac k of resistance to be an invitation, and leaned in to kiss Christian passionately. Christian’s hands ran up Terrence’s chest and around the back of his neck to hold Terrence in their kiss.
~June 2007~ “I wouldn’t break bread with you if you were the last breathing entity in this solar system,” Fiona stressed. Herbert was amused by Fiona’s rejection of Evan, “You can start Monday morning,” Herbert smiled, shaking her hand with his sweaty palm. Fiona was trying to process how she landed this job, and whether she even wanted it, but she couldn’t help but feel drawn to... and needed by... these two amoral, maladjusted oddballs.
~July 2007~ “I can’t believe you!” Nathan is incredulous, “All these months, trying to get close to you, trying to know you, trying to find that light that I’d catch glimpses of flickering in your eyes, and THIS is what you’ve been holding back?! I’M A POLICE DETECTIVE FOR CHRIST’S SAKE! And this crime that you’ve been suspicious about since you were a kid is the wall you’ve put between us all this time? Why didn’t you come to me? Say something to me? Ask for help? Do you know how much I love you? How I would do anything for you? But all you do is push me away?! TRUST ME!” Julia’s tears are trailing down her cheeks, “You don’t understand,” Julia insisted. “No!” Nathan corrected her, “You won’t LET me understand!” Nathan stormed out, and Julia slumped down onto the couch, looking around at her empty apartment... her empty life.
~October 31st, 2007~ Thomas enters Theodore’s (John Ingle) hospital room a while after his surgery. Thomas puts his hand on his father’s arm and accidentally wakes Theodore up. Thomas apologizes, and urges him to go back to sleep. “Is it true? I had a heart attack?” Theodore asked. Thomas confirmed it, and asked what happened, what brought it on? Theodore thought for a second and then realized, “I won the lottery!” Thomas thought his father was suffering from being heavily medicated. But Theodore kept on, talking about how he buys a ticket from the same newsstand outside Hunter every morning, just as a novelty, but when he read the numbers in the paper, he realized he won the $350 million jackpot! Thomas urged him to stay calm, not to repeat his earlier incident. Theodore asked if he called his sister and brother. “Half-siblings,” Thomas corrected him. Theodore wants to make sure his children know that he’s okay.
~August 2007~ “Wow,” Christian laughed, as he and Terrence broke from their kiss. “I’m sorry,” Terrence quickly apologized. Christian was perplexed, “Why?! It was a pretty damn good kiss,” he smiled, leaning into Terrence, only for Terrence to stand and step away from him. “Why?” Terrence thought it was obvious, “I was caught up in the moment, but you’re younger than both my children, I’m directing you in a show, it’s all sorts of inappropriate.” “Terrence...” Christian tries to calm him, “There were two of us in that kiss just then. It’s still not socially ‘appropriate’ for two men to be married under the law in most states. Do you really think I care that you’re older, if you also happen to be talented, handsome, charming, intelligent, funny, passionate, I could go on and on. If the only reason you want to ignore this attraction between us, is because of my age, I’m sorry, last I checked I was old enough to smoke, drink, drive and vote for President. They don’t even card me at the gay bars anymore, as hard as that is to get used to. Terrence, you’ve never caught me looking at you?” Christian asks, drawing Terrence slowly closer until they engaged in another soft, passionate kiss.
~November 1st, 2007~ Thomas looks through his father’s address book and dials a number for his half-brother James (Alec Musser). We see James, in bed, with a gorgeous brunette, having too good of a time. James’s cell phone vibrates on his bedside table, and James reaches to look at the screen, and the number registers as ‘unknown’. Ignoring the call and tossing the phone back on the table, James turns over in bed and we see he’s got a gorgeous blonde in bed with him too! Thomas leaves a voicemail for James, “Hey... this is Thomas... Baldwin... your half-brother. Give me a call back... dad had a heart attack... He’s okay, but he wanted me to catch you up.... Um... so call me back.” Thomas then finds a number for “Jenna Work” and dials that, and a man answers “Shenanigans!” Thomas asks to speak to Jenna, and hears the man hand the phone over to her, telling her to keep it short and sweet. Jenna, in pigtails and a VERY short German barmaid’s uniform, takes the phone. “Jenna?” Thomas asks.
“Yeah, what? I’m workin’.” Jenna says rudely.
“Oh... right. What the hell are you calling for? You in jail or something?”
“No, nothing like that... It’s dad... he had a heart attack.”
“... Is he okay?”
“Yeah. He just wanted me to let you know.”
“Well he’s old. I guess it happens. What brought it on?”
“... He won the lottery.”
“Is he that weak, that some $20 scratch-off sends him into a coronary?!”
“Believe it or not... he won $350 million.”
Jenna’s side of the line went dead for a moment... “Are you serious?” She asked, breathing a little heavier. A patron at the table behind her pinches her nearly-exposed rear end to get her attention and waves his empty beer mug at her, silently demanding a refill. Jenna hangs up, gets down in the patron’s face and roars “I QUITTTT!!!!”
~Early October 2007~ Having set the chain of events in motion regarding the cover-up of Charles Halperin’s death, Leo and Henry met to discuss their next step. Henry believes Charles hid the evidence he had against them, and it most likely was counted among the belongings his wife will inherit. We see Ford Collins (David Chisum) in an already-crashed car with Charles Halperin in the driver’s seat. The smashed framed family portrait from his desk at VSI is mixed in with his various other belongings in the backseat. Ford is wearing gloves and trying to position Charles in the right spot for Ford to smash his head into the steering wheel. Ford mentally prepares himself for the gruesome task, and takes a deep breath in before whacking Charles Halperin’s head into the wheel. Back at VSI, Leo shares, “Hopefully the secrets Halperin had over us will die with him, and we’ve created an elaborate enough scene to keep his wife on edge, so we can work to cover our asses. If only we knew what we were looking for...” Leo’s cold, detached words replayed in Henry’s head in the present day as he realized how many other people were broken by the day Charles Halperin died.

Epilogue - Present Day
Thomas Baldwin sits staring at a thick, detailed pen in his living room, when Theodore enters. “What’ve you got there?” Theodore is intrigued by the pen. “Oh, Rebecca gave this to me for my birthday... it belonged to her father and she said it was very important to him,” Thomas explains, “I was just thinking about how little Rebecca has left of him, and how lucky I am to still have you here, after the scare you gave me last year. I mean, mom’s back, I have Eddie and Didi... even Jenna and James keep it interesting if nothing else. I’ve made a good impression in my little role at VSI. I’m just really lucky... and I’m really grateful I didn’t lose you last year.” Thomas hugs his father tightly.
Eleanor is home, sitting in a man’s robe. She curls up in a chair that looks like it holds memories for her, and she has a flash of Charles, wearing the robe she has on right now, giving her a warm hug from behind. Remembering something else, suddenly, she gets up and goes to the bottom drawer in the writing desk, opens it, and pulls out the broken framed picture of the Halperin family from Charles’s desk at VSI. The glass is still shattered and it looks exactly the way it did when it broke. Eleanor looks at it and a wave of deep sorrow washes over her. “You said ‘forever’. I know that you meant it. I just know you did. I still don’t understand,” she told her husband in the photo. He looked like the husband that she knew. Growing angry, Eleanor beats the framed photo against the desk violently, breaking the frame further, until the picture slips out and floats to the floor. There’s writing on the back that Eleanor never knew was there. Picking it up, the handwriting is instantly recognizable as her husband’s. Written simply, it reads “The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword”. Even more confused and frustrated by the phrase’s significance, Eleanor throws the photo in the trash.
“Did you thank him for the flowers?” Carina asks, shaking Julia from her daze. “No...” Julia says, “I don’t know if I should. All this time, my father’s death was what stood between me really being with Nathan. Really opening up to him. And now I have my answers about my father... but James is the one who broke through my wall. I’m not even sure when it happened, how it happened. James was there every step of the way. Nathan would’ve been, if I’d let him. What do I do?” Julia seems truly torn. Carina doesn’t really have an answer for her.
Fiona and Evan still sit at the edge of her desk. “I was pretty naive,” Fiona conceded. “Exhibit D,” Evan smirked, nudging her with his shoulder. “But to think of something like my father’s death... I can’t imagine why he needed to die. He was such a good man. In a world full of selfish, lying bastards, he was SUCH a good man. He just finally established the life he always wanted. Why did it all have to be snatched out from under him?” Fiona struggles to see the logic, the law of the world, that would make sense of it. Evan sympathizes, “Some things just are. The law is so much about assigning blame, pointing fingers, accountability. But if we look deeply enough, we’re all partly to blame for the state of things, the world we find ourselves in. The life we make for ourselves. And if everyone’s to blame, then no one’s any more to blame than anyone else. Some things just are. I’m sorry about your father.” Fiona’s surprised and somewhat comforted by the permission to not fully understand something. “Shall we discuss this further over breakfast in bed?” Evan couldn’t help but ask. “No,” Fiona said, without missing a beat. She’d had so much practice telling him no. But it was nice to have Evan listen to her for once... like her father used to.
Christian wakes up with a start, and looks around, disappointed to remember he’s in a car, leaving New York behind. Dominic noticed Christian’s startled awakening, “Where’d you go? You were out for a while,” Dom smiles. Christian wasn’t sure of his answer, “...I was just dreaming of better days.”

Unfortunately, scheduling problems and lack of ideas has left me with no other choice but to end this fan fiction. It's a sad day for me, but this is a decision that I felt had to be made. I want to thank all the loyal readers (you know who you are) for following ANWT for this long. I also appreciate all the feedback that I've received, good and bad alike, during the course of this fan fiction. Lastly, I could have never have done this without the help of 2 amazing friends. P.J., you are a God-send. Co-writing this fic together was a phenomenal experience that will always be remembered. Thanks for all your support, nagging, and friendship. I wouldn't have had it any other way. DrewH, without you, I would have gone crazy. Thanks for helping me keep my cool and giving me great story ideas in the process. And to all the readers, whoever and wherever you are, thanks for letting us turn your world. It's been a fun ride.
With that said, the ending will be posted in parts. Each part will be posted whenever I can get around to it, so please be patient. And now, part 1 of "A New World Turns: The Ending".
Carly finds Brad an apartment to sub-lease at the Oakdale Towers. Brad nitpicks the place to death, until Carly finally shuts him up. She points out he was all for pushing her to "move on" when Jack left town. Now she's the one advising him to move on with his life. Brad reminds her they've never been friends. He's always been a pain in the ass, Carly admits. But he grew up a little while Jack was out of town, looking out for her and the kids the way he did. That makes him family. Rolling his eyes, Brad admits the fabulous apartment isn't that bad...all it needs is a recliner and a big screen tv to make it perfect. Carly says he might want to add a bed, unless he plans on unrolling a sleeping bag on the floor. And sleeping alone for the forseeable future.
Jack calls in a favor and gets access a copy of the OPD file on Carly's accident. Other than Katie, the OPD had no suspects. He's upset to find a report detailing the earlier vandalism on Carly's car that he knew nothing about. The detective's notes question if the incidents are related. Jack's face turns ashen and he storms out to his car. Pulling out his cell, he leaves an angry message---"you have a lot of explaining to do."
Jack remains silent during dinner, and after she sends the kids to do their homework, Carly asks what's bothering him. Calmly, Jack asks why she didn't tell him her car was vandalized. Carly shrugs her shoulders and reminds him he wasn't around. At the time, she wasn't even sure if he gave a damn about her. Kissing her, he tells her everything he's done, he's done for her.
A few days later, Carly takes Brad to the mall, to help him furnish his new apartment. While they shop, Brad notices Mac out of the corner of his eye. He doesn't say anything to Carly, but he makes an excuse and confronts Mac, thinking he's stalking Carly. Mac tells him he's an idiot, that he's picking up some equipment for the hockey team. Brad backs off, but he's still suspicious. Later, he plays the sympathy card and invites himself back to supper at Milltown, and takes Jack aside, volunteering to help him "knock some sense" into Mac, Snyder style. Parker walks by and overhears Jack thank him for watching out for Carly, but refuses to confront Mac. After Brad leaves, Jack insists on staying the night with his family---on the couch.
The next day, taping runs late at WOAK. Expecting his furniture, Brad asks Jimmy to wait for the delivery men. When he's finally done with work, Brad runs in to Carly in the parking lot. She chides him for acting like a kid at Christmas, anxious see the presents Santa's brought. Brad reminds her she had fun too---spending his money. Carly admits she did, and Brad invites her to be his first official houseguest...and help do all the "woman-y things" like arranging the furniture. She agrees. When they arrive, everything's been delivered but the bed. Brad thanks Jimmy, and he and Carly are soon engrossed in unpacking and rearranging the furniture.
When the kids arrive home from school, Jack is walking up the block to greet them. While JJ and Sage do their homework, Parker asks Jack if he had a talk with Mac. Jack denies it, and wonders why Parker's asking. Parker admits he overheard Brad accuse Mac of stalking Carly. And that while Carly befriended Mac at first, she grew uncomfortable around him, and he saw them arguing on the porch the last time Mac stopped by the house. Jack assures him there's nothing to worry about. Parker berates him for acting like it's no big deal. Maybe if Jack had been around to see it like Parker and Brad were, he'd think differently. Parker has a bad feeling about Mac---he thinks he's lying about something. And frankly, he thinks Jack's lying to him too.
A knock at the door interrupts them. It's Margo, accompanied by two cops. She tersely asks if Carly's home. Carly's still at work, Jack tells her. Margo shakes her head. Carly's not at WOAK. When Jack asks why Margo wants to know, she takes him aside and tells him 911 got a call half an hour ago from Oakdale Towers---Brad's been stabbed. He's been rushed to Memorial, and it doesn't look good. Jack asks what that has to do with Carly. Carly was seen entering the building with Brad, Margo answers. But no one saw her leave. And her purse was found at the scene. Jack pales---Carly's obviously been kidnapped. Margo hesitates--or she's the suspect in an attempted murder. Jack scoffs at the idea. Margo's serious. She mentions the fact Carly's been seen with Brad all around town lately. She was helping Brad set up residence, using his credit card and ordering furniture, including a bed. She even mentions Katie accused Carly and Brad of having an affair minutes after Jack left town. It wouldn't be the first time a lover's spat had ended in violence.
Jack tells Margo she's wrong...he and Carly are back together. Margo snidely reminds him it wouldn't be the first time Carly's deceived him. Jack snaps, reminding her Carly was nearly run down just a few weeks ago. Margo says it was probably just an accident, and Carly used it to drum up sympathy. Finally, Jack comes clean. The reason he suspects someone is after Carly, is because someone's after him. Right before Christmas, Jack went back undercover with the FBI after they informed him Ben Harris had been brutally attacked. An obituary of Joe Teague was left at the scene, along with an old newspaper article about Jack finding the evidence that linked Teague to the Milltown Church fire. The FBI has been investigating a white supremicist group headed by Joe Teague's son, Junior. Ben was put into protective custody, and the Bureau wanted to put him, Carly and the kids under protection too while they hunted Junior down. Jack refused, staged a break up, and left town to keep his family safe. Margo chastises him for not informing her--she could have at least placed the house under surveillance while Jack was out of town. Jack assures her he made his own arrangements before going undercover and trying to get information from one of Teague's old buddies about where Junior might hide out. He couldn't find out anything useful, and he came home after hearing about Carly's accident.
Margo puts out an APB on Carly's car, and Jack asks to be a part of the investigation. He calls the FBI, hoping they've had a break in finding Junior. Emma comes over to be with the kids, while Margo authorizes police protection for the house. Emma tries to reassure the kids, but Parker overhears the officers speculate that Carly's probably already dead. Convinced that Mac is behind Carly's disappearance, he sneaks out of the house with a baseball bat. While Parker hides in the bushes at Mac's house down the street, Carly wakes up in the dark, screaming, recalling finding Brad laying in a pool of his own blood.
Parker spies Mac sitting in his front room, in front of his laptop. When Mac leaves the room, he sneaks inside the house, and is shocked. There are candid pictures of his family hanging on the wall, along with schedules of their weekly activities written out. When he hears Mac returning, he waits by the door, and hits him in the back, knocking Mac to the floor. As the older man coughs up blood, Parker shouts he wants to know what Mac's done with Carly. Mac denies any involvement, and Parker hits him again. Parker shouts Brad was right, Mac is some stalker-pervert fixated on his mom. Slowly, Mac crawls into a corner as he coughs up blood. Parker raises his bat again, as Mac tries to calm him down. Mac understands that it looks bad, but he's not stalking anyone. He's been protecting them. Parker laughs at him--he's a cop's kid, he'd have known if they were under police protection. Understanding nothing he says will convince Parker, he offers up proof. The phone number of the man who hired him.
Emma panics, realizing Parker's taken off. The officers search the house and call Jack, who races home. The officers report they've searched the area, and Parker's bike is still in the garage. Jack tells them to keep searching and begs Emma not to worry before taking off again.
Parker tells Mac he's calling the police instead, and pulls out his cell phone. Hearing someone else enter the house and call out Mac's name, he hides by the door and raises his bat. Just as the person steps through the doorway, Mac yells at them to duck, and they roll to the floor as Parker swings and misses. Parker's ready to swing again, but stops cold when he realizes it's Jack. Parker tells him he's found Carly's kidnapper--Mac. Jack yells at him, asking what the hell he's doing running out on Emma in the middle of a crisis. Mac yells at him explain everything before Parker hits anyone else with the bat. Then Jack comes clean. Mac is ex-FBI, the first partner Jack had when he joined the Bureau. Parker was right, Jack lied when he left town---but it was to go undercover--and he only agreed knowing someone he trusted would be protecting his family. He got Mac the job at the rink, so he could have a way to keep an eye on them without scaring either Carly or them. Mac called him right after Carly's accident, and Jack decided to come home. Jack assures him there's no way Mac had anything to with Brad's stabbing or Carly's disappearance.
Parker apologizes to Mac, and Jack scolds him for taking matters into his own hands. As Jack arranges for a squad car to take Mac to the ER, he gets a call on his cell phone. The caller's voice is disguised, and he's told that if he wants the blonde returned safely, he'll come to where Joe Teague was murdered. Alone.
Carly explores the cabin she's being held in. To her horror, she realizes it's the same cabin she and Jack took refuge in after being trapped by Joe Teague in the tool shed and nearly freezing to death. Where Jack was stabbed and Teague was killed after fighting with Ben Harris. Carly desperately tries to escape, but the door is barred from the outside and all the windows are boarded over. Carly hears someone outside and tries to hide, hoping she can just rush out past them. She can't see the man's face, but he advises her not to run, and holds a gun out for her to see. Besides, her hero is on his way to rescue her---she wouldn't want to miss that. Carly tells the man he'd be better off leaving---Jack will kill him for taking her and killing his brother. The last he heard, Brad was hanging on in the ICU at Memorial. Then all he has to do is let her go, and he'll live, Carly tries to bargain. Jack needs to pay, the man tells her, turning around and introducing himself as Joe Teague Jr. Carly pales recognizing Jimmy, the intern from WOAK.
Joe/Jimmy tells her to scurry out from the corner she's hiding in. He's not going to hurt her---at least until Jack gets there. He laughs as Carly stays hidden, and tells her how fun it was being so close to her at WOAK, knowing he could just kill her anytime he wanted. It amused him to see her operate, bedding Brad while Jack-the-hero was out of town. And the way she tortured poor Katie made him hate Carly all the more. That's why he trashed her car---for Katie---but he also hoped to scare her enough to bring Jack back to town. It took nearly running her down to do that though. He could have played this out for months, but when Katie left town, it left him without someone to take the blame. So he stepped up his timetable. And when Brad asked him to let the furniture guys in and she showed up too---it was the perfect opportunity.
Carly and Joe/Jimmy hear a car pull up, and Carly makes a break for the door, screaming for Jack to stay away. Jimmy hits her, knocking her down, then grabs her up by the arm and hauls her out to the porch with him. Pointing his gun to her head, Jimmy tells Jack to toss away his gun, then kneel down. His dad would want his murderer to die on his knees. Jack wants Jimmy to let Carly drive away in his car first before he'll toss the gun. Carly's horrified and begs Jack not to agree---Jimmy's going to kill her either way. Jack tells her that's not true, Jimmy promised Carly wouldn't be harmed. Jimmy laughs...as long as Jack knows what a faithless bitch Carly was, sleeping with his brother, he'll let her go. He tells Jack to throw his gun away and walk away from the car. When Jack does, Jimmy drags Carly with him off the porch, and moves with her closer to the car. Eyes locked on her, Jack tells Carly he loves her.
When they get to the front of the car, Jimmy tosses Carly to the ground and shoots three rounds into Jack's chest. Carly scrambles for the car door as a shot rings out, dropping Jimmy to the ground. Screaming, Carly dashes over to Jack, begging him not to die as she presses her hand over his chest. Jack groans, and tells her not to worry, she's not getting rid of him that easily. Carly feels a solid mass, and realizes Jack's wearing a bulletproof vest. Suddenly she's aware of a handful of FBI agents swarming the scene, and realizes he had an entire squad backing him up. Relieved beyond belief, she smothers him with kisses. Jack groans in pain, and protests going to a hospital when one of the medics suggests it. Carly overrules him, and tells him she's putting her foot down. The sooner he's healed, the sooner they can get married. Jack laughs that he hasn't asked her yet. Carly tells him she's not waiting for him to ask, they're getting married exactly one week after he's discharged. No ifs, ands or butts about it. Laughing, Jack agrees---but he's not taking her name. Carly kisses him, and tells him to shut up.

The Bold Ones
Ashley Abbotts House
What do you say Ashley, will you marry me?
Please tell me I am not going to regret this.
I promise. This will help me out so much and I promise all I am looking for is a wife on paper. We can sleep in separate bedrooms and everything.
Oh, Paul I’m not worried about that at all. I know you would respect me and my space.
So, I haven’t heard a yes or a no yet. I’m sorry to rush you, but I am desperate.
I didn’t mean it like that.
I know. (she takes a deep breath) Okay. I will marry you, on one condition.
Donna? Care to explain that voicemail you just left for Jackie?
Thorne, it isn’t what you think. It isn’t what it sounded like.
Oh, well good, because it sounds like you were plotting with Jackie Marone to destroy my brother’s marriage to your sister.
Thorne, its no secret that Jackie or myself are big fans of Ridge. But, we had nothing to do with Ridge and Brooke’s marriage crumbling. Your brother took care of that all on his own.
Yeah, that may be, but I heard everything you just said to Jackies voicemail. You two had a plan cracked out, only you didn’t need to follow through with it. I cant believe you would be so selfish and spiteful.
Now Thorne, wait a minute.
No you wait and let me finish. How would you like it if someone was scheming to break us up? Huh? You know as well as I do that not many people like us being together, but we fought them and now you have the nerve to pull this?
Thorne, of course I would hate it if someone would do that to us, but I know Brooke so well I know that Ridge is not the one for her and now she knows it too. I know people don’t like us together, but I also know that we are meant to be together just like I know Brooke is meant for Nick, not Ridge.
I wish I felt the same.
Of course you feel differently than I do. Ridge is your brother. Its no wonder you want what he feels is best for him.
No, Donna, you misunderstood. Yes, I don’t feel the same way about Ridge and Brooke as you do, but I wasn’t talking about them. I was talking about us.
Thorne… what are you saying?
I’m saying, I think we are over Donna. I can’t be with someone who goes behind my back and does something like this. I can’t do it to me and I cant do it to Ally. (he leaves with Donna having tears running down her face)
What’s the condition?
We sign a pre nup. I know that you would never do anything that would hurt me, but just for security reasons I think…
Ash, its not problem. No offense taken, I completely understand, and I will have the papers drawn up tomorrow, when we go by the courthouse to get our marriage license.
Tomorrow? Don’t you only have a certain amount of days to get married before the licence expires.
Yeah I thought we would get married as soon as possible. The trial will be starting soon, is that going to be a problem?
No, no problem at all.
Great, I am going to call my lawyer and tell her the good news. (he goes to the back of the house)
The doorbell rings, and Ashley answers it.
Jack what a lovely surprise, I wasn’t expecting you tonight.
Yeah, I just swung by to tell you that I am leaving town.
What? You’re leaving so soon?
Relax. I am only going to be gone for a few days, I will be back, I’m not through with my business meetings.
Well good, because I am going to need someone to walk me down the aisle.
I am sorry did you say aisle?
Yes. I have agreed to marry Paul to better his case against his ex-brother-in-law.
Look we will have to talk about this when I get back, I promise I wont be long. By the way I am going on my trip with Paul’s…
Ashley’s phone rings.
Hang on Jackie. It Abby, I haven’t talked to her all day. Go ahead answer it, I will let myself out and I will see you in a couple of days.
The Next Day
Extreme Catwalk: Forrester Edition Offices
Rick you can’t do that.
Well my Executive Producer credit says otherwise.
Grandpa, Dad, you and the other producers, and myself have already decided on principal casting. All of the contestants have been contacted, they meet here tomorrow. Your going to call somebody at the last minute and tell them they have been replaced?
Yeah, I just don’t like this girl.
Well, I do!
I think you like this girl.
You are pathetic, Thomas. You only meet this girl at her audition and you fall head over heels with her. Here you can take her picture home with you and have sweet dreams. It will be the last time you see her.
I like this girls sketches I see good things in them.
You cant see nothing you are so green it’s sickening.
A lot of people would disagree with you Rick, after all that’s why I am here as a judge and you got a producer credit. Everyone knows it is only a title, you do not have the creative control to make a decision like this without consulting everyone else involved.
We will see about that
Yeah we will.
Stephanie visits Massimo in the hospital
Hey Mass, how are you, silly question I know. I kind of like this, I can talk all I want and you cant interrupt me with your overbearing tone. I am kidding, but you know it’s true. I just got in from Chicago, I went to visit Angela’s grave. I can’t believe it had been forty-five years since my baby was taken from me. You were there to comfort me remember? You helped me pull through, and damn it I am going to do the same for you. Wake up Mass, a lot of people need you. Our son needs you, I need you. There is so much more time to be had, don’t give up, don’t give up. That’s what you told me all those years ago and now I am telling you, don’t give up.
She walks out of the room and her cell phone rings
Stephanie, its James how are you are you back in town?
Yes, I am at the hospital, visiting Massimo.
What a coincidence, I am here consulting with a patient. I was wondering if you were free for lunch.
Yes I am, I would love to catch up, say meet me in hospital lobby in half an hour and we leave from there?
Sounds great, see you then.
James hangs up and walks down the hall, a mystery person is following him everywhere he goes.
Next on The Bold Ones

So since it's been... forever since I've even been here, or posted anything at all, or even looked at this blog for that matter, I figured I would post something just for the heck of it.
(On a side note, I'm going to have to go back through and look at this blog, simply because I have totally forgotten what I've even posted in here O__o)
So I've seen quite a bit of the Jan Spears saga (as I'll call it) on Youtube. To be quite honest, I think she's insane and she's evil... but that's what makes her such a neat character.
I can't believe some of the lengths she went through to try and make Shawn love her, although considering the fact that she's an obsessed pyscho-woman, it's not overly surprising. And it's really cute how she thinks her Kewpie doll actually speaks to her.
In many ways though, I feel bad for Heather Oleson. I mean, I'm sure she tried her best to act the part, and it's not entirely her fault if she can't act too well. I will definitely say I prefer Heather Lindell's acting, but part of me just feels bad for Heather Oleson, that's all.
And... I do wonder if Jan will ever be back on the show, someday.
That's all I guess... signing off.

Phillip grabbed Cassie by the arm and pulled her into the office so no one could see her. "Excuse us for a moment, Abigail" said Phillip as he escorted Abby out of the office. "What the hell are you doing here, Cassie" he asked angrily. It's been three damn years you had this face and you promise me once I help you gain custody of this lil brat of yours you would move me here tell Kate and Roman the truth about our marriage and about Rex and I" said Cassie as Abby listen at the door. "Cassie here is some cash and go settle in at the Salem Inn I will be over after work to discuss this with you" Said Phillip as he faked a smile for his son. "Thats the kid he had with MiMi" thoughted Abby.
Roman walked into Chez Rouge with 11 white roses in his hand. "Hey, Roman, who is the lucky lady" asked Jack as they shook hands. "Nicole Walker" said Roman. Jack spit out his drink, "Nicole Walker, you mean Eric's ex, Victor's Ex, Brady's Ex, Lucas' Ex, Victor's "Murderess", Chloe's face disfigurer and not to mention Kate and Sami's Frenemy" said Jack as Roman sat him down. "Yes that Nicole Walker, and I like her. Didn't Jennifer marry you after you married and raped my sister, attempted to marry Melissa for politcally reasons, and not the mention remain with you after you left town when Abby was a child and then fake your deaths numerous of times" said Roman. "Point Proven" said Jack as he ordered another drink.
"First Off, Dr Carver is a Kidnapper and falsely examine patients" said Neil as he glanced at Maggie. "Maggie, Alice, Dr. Evans weren't you all pronounced dead by Dr. Carver during the years 2003-2004 when the Salem Stalker was reigning in Salem" Said Neil as Maggie, Marlena, and Alice looked at Lexie. "Even you too, Mayor Carver" said Neil. Abe jumped up from his seat "That wasn't her fault, Neil" he yelled. "I Disagree, Mayor Carver, from my understanding Samantha Horton heard her mother screaming from her casket" said Dr. Joplin. "Alexandra do have some issues to work on" She said. "Well if it wasn't her fault, Keeping Hope Williams away from her son sure was" said Neil. "Thats Enough, Dr. Curtis" said a beautiful redhead girl as she walked in the meeting. "Sarah" said Neil as he grabbed her and hugged her. Sarah looked shocked as well as amused.
"My Darling Julie" said the mystery man as he walked through the Doug and Julie's home. "I vow to have you again, my Scarlett" he continued as he kissed Julie's picture. Suddenly John Black walked in. "Doug, Julie? I brought over your mail, it got mixed up, again" said John. The man hid in the coat closet with a knife in his hand. "I guess they are busy, I'll come back later" said John to himself as he walked out.
"Who can't be back, Julie" asked Doug. Suddenly Julie grabs the Spectator, "Neil Curtis, Darling" lied Julie as she showed him the paper. "Oh My, you know he is going to give poor Lexie a run for her money" said Doug. "But, Lexie is part DiMera she can stand her ground" said Julie. "Thats Right, Doll. Lets Go Home" said Doug as he begin to tell Julie about Phillip's little scheme.
Nicole walks in wearing a stunning red dress. "Nicole, you are beautiful" said Roman as he handed her the roses. "11 roses" she asked. you are the twelveth one, sweetheart" he said as he kissed her hand. "Oh Hell No, you are dating this, bitch" said Kate as she spit her drink in Nicole's face.
