ANNOUNCEMENT- 'RETURN TO SANTA BARBARA' is BACK in JANUARY!!!!

Merry Christmas RTSB fans! Today, for Christmas, my dad is giving my mom a brand new laptop. Why is this significant you ask? Because I will be receiving their old one and setting up service in my apartment. Therefore, as promised, I can finally go back to writing 'RTSB' again full time. Once again, I will be using the upcoming weeks to re-read much of what I have written and continue on with no loss in story or flash fowards- we're picking up right from where we left off! I CAN'T WAIT to start writing it again. Look for some news items with story previews and perhaps an interview with a cast member or two to whet your appetites for the continuation of 'Return to Santa Barbara'.

In the meantime, here's a link to the only Christmas episode I've written in the blog thusfar, from 2006 (I can't believe it's been 5 YEARS since I started doing this!!!) I was proud of it and the fun episodes I had written the week leading up to it, which was a break from the regular stories for some romance for CC/Sophia, Cruz/Eden, Keith/Gina, and Lionel/Augusta. They were my Christmas gift to everybody who'd come and started reading it as I wrote from the very beginning.

Check it out!!

Excited to get things going, though it's taking a little longer than normal though. It is happening, make no mistake! :)

Yes. Unfortunately, as this was being planned, my father was taken to the ER and ended up spending 6 weeks in the hospital, which ended with him having a major surgery called a "Whipple." He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer Stage 2, but luckily, it was all encapsulated in the tumor, which was removed, along with half of his insides. He's just come home and it being just he, my mom, and I living here, it's been A LOT of work for me and has taken up much of my time. He is recovering and within the next 3 weeks, he should be A LOT better than he is now and should be more self-sufficient.

In any event, all of your prayers would be appreciated!

As for 'RTSB', while it's been on hold, that hold will soon be ending. I plan on a re-start towards the end of May/early June. I will pick up right from where I left off. It may start out with only a few episodes a week instead of 5, but it will still continue. As soon as I'm positive of the return date, I will make the announcement.

It's been so long and had so many false starts I wouldn't blame you if you were sick of me and felt like ditching me and the blog altogether. Thank you all so much for your continued interest, as that is what inspires me to write.

So sorry it took me so long to get back to you but as you can see now, I've had my hands quite full. Looking forward to the continuation and you all posting your thoughts. When I announce the date, I plan to do a fun little exercise that will get you all involved again before the show gets going that I think everyone will enjoy.

Until we meet again (aka, sooner than later),

Greg

Hello Greg,

I'm so sorry what your daddy is going through. I know how difficult time it is. I think I can speak on behalf of the others as well: just do what you have to do. We don't urge you. We understand you don't have time to write. We'll wait for you.

Bye,

Viki

He's doing better, thanks. He still doesn't have a full apetite, he's a bit slow-moving, and has less energy. But it's just how the surgery kinda wipes the body out. To me, he's MUCH stronger than he was when he went in and that's the important thing. I think he's gonna come through this just fine and will be a better man for it. He's already doing his best to be.
