July 20, 200619 yr Member One storm last night, which some are saying was a tornado, knocked out pwer to 500,000 custormers, collapsed buildings downtown, ripped roofs off of other structures, and tore huge trees out of the ground. Right now, there are 365,000 people without power, and the temo is 100 degrees. This is something else.

July 24, 200619 yr Member Well, last August I had a devastating Hurricane destroy my great city of New Orleans and the days after it was 100 with about 100% humidity & no working water, electricity, or food. NOTHING top that (just tryin to find happiness amid Katrina destruction...and yes it's still bad down here)
