Yep. Too much putting Anita on a pedestal. Show, don't tell is always the way, yet we get constant and never-ending praise for everything Anita and the Duprees. The Gayle King appearance could have gone a long way to handling this correctly, but instead we got generic questions and answers that made for a really boring interview that no one would check out on social media.
I hope the show is taking note of all the online Leslie comments, because what we're getting is not good. Having her invade multiple places and confront multiple people in one episode is nuts, and it's not good soap.
You're not alone. I like the actor and don't want a recast, but he does need to work on his voice/tone. You know who else does? RhonniRose Mantilla as Chelsea. That little girl voice is wearing awfully thin. Time and place, you know?
I brought this up last week. We got multiple scenes discussing Leslie handling everything about the clinic, including the legal work. Why? That wasn't necessary to get Derek involved and just makes the show look ridiculous.
