• Grayson completes his assignment, but then all hell breaks loose at the warehouse. Samantha and Jessica make their cotillion debut while Nicole has to deal with an emergency.

• Someone dies while a Platinum Deb is crowned. Vanessa questions Joey about the chaos of the evening. Tyrell and Jessica slip away for their first time together.

• Ashley and Naomi are shell-shocked. Elon makes demands of Joey. Donnell has some tough questions for Vanessa. Marcel questions a perp. Bill, Kat and Tomas compare notes.

Friday, May 22, 2026 (Episode #293)

• Anita, Vernon and Ted have to do damage control. Andre and Dani console someone they love while Nicole is asked to reach out to a distraught colleague. Donnell confronts Joey as Kat doles out advice to Deanna. One of the McBrides has a stunning reunion.

So off of NEXT WEEK synopsis.

First of all, FINALLY re: the cotillion!!!! And it doesn't look boring OR off screen.

Second of all, per my comments the other day...so they are going to explode EVERYONE'S storyline next week. I said that it might be too much. I still feel that. BUT I'm looking forward to it. I might watch live if possible.

Third of all...if the 'reunion' is an alive Doug...I will fall right on out.

Doug being alive would be the only exciting reunion for any of the McBride. It would be crazy if he's "The Impaler", but that might be a reach.

Our guesses for who dies are most likely Grayson, Derek and Jacob, but I am really leaning towards Derek. Andre and Dani would definitely console Ashley since Ashley is Naomi's best friend and Andre has his own connection to Ashley.

Yeah, I think it would be a stretch that Doug is the Impaler. But not a stretch to have him alive.

Honestly...and I hate to say it...I feel people on this board are right and it will be Derek. I feel they are too invested on making Ashley happen and she's great IMHO with Grayson. I hope it's not Jacob. I know people mentioned foreshadowing during the Jacob/Naomi flashback episode so I do worry.

I always thought the heavily-veiled foreshadowing in January pointed towards (1) Derek ending up in a body bag, (2) Jacob being kidnapped/disappearing for a while, (3) Naomi finding herself alone and pregnant with the cursed BRCA gene hovering over her, and (4) Ted finally hitting the sheets with Miss Beautiful. Foreshadowing can be misinterpreted, of course. But so far, it still looks to me as though they're heading toward all 4 of the above.

I definitely agree with you with Number 3. I felt that strongly when this storyline started, but it has grown with each time Jacob and Naomi have met up.

A Jacob kidnapping though? Hmm.

And you and several others were dead on with Nicole from this past week so I am starting to trust your instinct. So...poor Derek. HOWEVER...could that manifest an exit for Tomas, too, then?

There was also that dream Naomi had of Dani telling her that Jacob was killed in the line of duty. But there is plenty that the writers have thrown out there to keep viewers guessing and I think the foreshadowing with Jacob was probably a fake out. Derek and Ashley's scene this week had a twinge of finality and closure to it. Grayson hasn't quite been established enough for his being a casualty hit hard so that puts him further back in the standings the more I think about with my guesses.

There was some heavy foreshadowing with Smitty this week, but then again that could be a fake out. Whatever happens I do hope it hits hard and moves us.
