But Curtis hasn't been interesting since Michael told him Drew was using him. Which felt meta on top of the plot.

I normally have no issues with Curtis, but this storyline about an accident they literally caused themselves is making him insufferable.

I have never cared for Curtis much yet I don't think I've ever seen the writing so slanted against him. He's always been a self righteous jerk, IMO, but never this bad. This entire story needs wrap up quickly because it's annoying time suck on the show. Although I am sure we won't find out the actual "culprit" until next year lol.

tbf Curtis has grown insufferable for a while...it's what made Portia reading him down hilarious. It's gotten to the point that there are only rare times he's not...like him vs Drew for example. So I can only imagine it getting worse.

That's fair. Then again, we might find them out next year...only for it to be overturned the following year.

That has crossed my mind, too. It's also part of the reason I feel it will come back into play by the end of the year. Perhaps once Sonny is able to free Laura from Sidwell's blackmail.
