Way too many obnoxious pop-ups on that site to bother reading.

I get it, it's the ads that makes the article free which am thankful for. Hate having to pay subscriptions nowadays...

This is NOT the original "Soap Opera Magazine" which died in 1999.

History per wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soap_Opera_Magazine

The name was acquired in 2023 by Squid McGuffey Media LLC. and relaunched as something new digitally. It is currently run by Amber Sinclair, the managing editor of soaphub.
In March 2026, they applied for a trademark to the name.

Edit to add:
On the "soapoperamagazine.com" website, at the very bottom, it says:

"distributes content via its website, social media platforms, and syndication partners including MSN and NewsBreak. Copyright © 2026 Squid McGuffey Media LLC d/b/a Soap Opera Magazine TM"
"A Raptive Partner Site"

This is Raptive Partner:
