They clearly are struggling re: Sonny. Someone doesn't want him and Carly back together which has always been their safe lever (probably both actors at this point, thank God), someone else obviously doesn't want Nina (probably Korte!) and Frank doesn't want to do the obvious fix (Brenda).

I think there are places to take Sonny currently on canvas that the show or Mo just aren't willing to do. It's annoying to me that BTS stuff is ruining drama that can be done. I don't agree with all the choices MB has made with Sonny over the years, but at least give him something to do besides having bestie chats with Laura and flirt with the DA like he is 25.

I am okay with the Carly/Sonny relationship being done for real although I do consider that the most likely default. How long can Carly play Brennan? How often will JPS show up for a romance with her? Neither of these options are long term.

Circling back to Laura, why are Kevin/Laura still a thing? JL pops up for 2 episodes and takes Ace with him? This is the most non-couple to ever exist. They never are even in the same place lol. I am not mad at JL for doing other things, but give them some conflict or something to explain the absences.

I think if it was up to FV he'd run Valentin and Carly for another 3-5 years to keep JPS around tbh. I think that's his priority. I hope it doesn't come to that. But I'd also rather gnaw my arm off than watch more of her and Maurice together. Both options suck and I will not choose one.

Jason: "why is it so hard for you to believe that I could love you and have room for somebody else". That was a telling statement in their relationship.

As bad as the writing for Britt has been, she was correct in that Jason and Carly have an unhealthy codependent relationship. It would be one thing if Carly just kept Jason as a best friend, but she actively disrespects all of the women he is with (Sam, Britt, Elizabeth, Robin, not sure about Courtney). She didn't like his friend Brenda either.

Jason needs to be better at setting boundaries with Carly. As for why they aren't together I suspect the character of Jason sees Carly as too much drama to date but enough to handle as a friend (despite the confusion of their recent marriage).

But that's what I am saying as well. Other than placeholding until Sidwell is enough of a threat for Sonny to take out...he could be doing more.

I thought the whole story with Carly/Jason was that Carly has low key been in love with him but was friendzoned by Jason early on. Then she lied to him about Michael's paternity way back when. Am I right? That's what I've always led to believe. Hence the hate towards all of Jason's love interests.

I don't know exactly when the friendzoning happened. I think Jason catching Carly in bed with Sonny in 1999 solidified Jason's resistance to dating Carly.

If I recall correctly, Carly was always upfront with Jason that AJ was Michael's dad. She sought Jason's help to claim he was the father to keep AJ, and the previous suspected baby daddy Tony Jones, from getting custody of Michael.

Carly and Jason had a sexual relationship while he was still dating Robin. Jason thought it was "okay" because of his brain damage and the fact that Robin was worried it would be unsafe to have sex with Jason due to her HIV status. I think at some point Robin/Jason may have been broken up. KMc was off at school. Robin actually knew Carly/Jason had a few dalliances. IMO, Carly was always friendzoned. Jason just liked having sex with her. It wasn't serious.

Fast forward to Tony, Michael, Aj and all that jazz and Jason pretending to be the father. Jason knew he was not the father from the start. He loved Michael and did have feelings for Carly of deep friendship. Jason was still all about Robin.

In 1999, I think SB's Carly and Jason were heading somewhere. Robin was gone. But he was hanging out with Liz and Carly assumed there was something going on and slept with Sonny. Steve Burton was already set to leave and that was that. There were rumors SB wasn't keen to be paired with Sarah J. Brown's Carly.

To me, that's the last time there was any chance for Carly/Jason no matter how much the show pretends Jason and LW's Carly are some weird sort of soul mates. Carly was definitely shifted to Sonny most of the time.

Sorry for the long post but that's probably the easiest way to break down their history.

And again, if this show was cleaning house or going all out Chase could also end up dead at the hands of Willow if he learned the truth. When you write it like that, there is just so much potential here for Willow to be found out. Alexis. Kai. Trina. How far will Willow go? If what happened to Drew is a taste...they better be scared.

What did Finola do to get stuck with the hammy Thespian? There's scenery chewing and gobbling everything in sight. As for the story, it's so dumb. But at least Emma is worried about her grandmother.

Britt needs to go. She's a wooden, one note b*tch and it offends me that I have to root for Carly, but here we are. KT may not be munching the set like what's his name but a director really needs to tell her to find some ways to humanize Britt. GH does have a tendency to make the female characters shrill (Kristina, Lulu) but they're not being shoved down our throats currently.

The actress who plays Joss also needs some direction about humanizing her character. She is smug all the time. I wouldn't mind if Joss were played like an heiress but she is insufferable all the time.
