Casey Kasprzyk, The Bold and the Beautiful

Casey Kasprzyk, a 22-year veteran at “The Bold and the Beautiful,” has been promoted from supervising producer to executive producer of the long-running half-hour drama series, marking the first time a non-Bell family member has held the position. He joins Bradley Bell, who was named as the show’s executive producer in February 1996 after his parents, the late William J. Bell and the late Lee Phillip Bell, stepped down.

“Twenty-two years ago, Casey Kasprzyk joined ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ at the front desk,” said Bell, who also serves as the show’s head writer, in an email sent to the show’s cast and crew announcing Kasprzyk’s promotion, according to Deadline, which first reported the news. “Since then, Casey has flourished in every level of production.”

Kasprzyk began his career at the Bell-Phillip Television Productions-produced soap opera in 2003. By 2008, he was promoted to associate producer, and in 2014, to supervising producer.

During his tenure, Kasprzyk has received 17 Daytime Emmy Award nominations, including four wins. In 2011, he shared in the show’s win for Outstanding Drama Series with the homeless storyline filmed in Los Angeles’ Skid Row. He won three of his Emmys for Outstanding Original Song, including 2015’s “Hands of Time,” 2016’s “Lost in Time,” and 2019’s “You’re the One.”

Kasprzyk played a key role in producing the show’s 7000th episode, which aired in January 2015 and featured prominent moments from the show’s history up to that point, and the two-part documentary about the show, filmed in Monaco. In recent years, Kasprzyk had been overseeing outdoor shoots across several international locations, including Italy, Australia, France, the Netherlands, Mexico and Dubai, with Naples and Capri, Italy joining the list this year. He also helped relocate the show from Television City, where it had been for more than 38 years, to Sunset Las Palmas Studios.

“Casey’s commitment and dedication to ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ has been extraordinary,” continued Bell. “Casey’s creative accomplishments are too vast to quantify, as he has continually elevated the show to new heights.”

Outside of his day-to-day duties at “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Kasprzyk created, hosts, and produces “Bold Live,” the original YouTube talk show that lets fans interact with their favorite stars from the world’s most-watched daily soap.

With Kasprzyk’s promotion, “The Bold and the Beautiful” joins “Days of our Lives” and “Beyond the Gates” as the only daytime dramas with more than one executive producer.

Ken Corday is executive producer of “Days of our Lives,” with Noel Maxam as co-executive producer. Meanwhile, “Beyond the Gates” has eight executive producers, including series creator Michele Val Jean, Sheila DucksworthJulie CarruthersTracey ThompsonLeon W. RussellDerrick JohnsonKimberly Doebereiner and Anna Saalfeld.

“General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” are overseen by just one executive producer each, with Frank Valentini helming the former and Josh Griffith at the latter.
