While “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” saw expected declines after hitting multi-month and season highs one week earlier in both demos and Total Viewers, the soaps remained up compared to the same week last year and were relatively on par among the key demos during the week of August 4-8, 2025.

For the week, “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “Beyond the Gates” were the only daytime broadcast shows to see growth week-to-week among Total Viewers, up +27,000 and +38,000, respectively. The long-running half-hour soap averaged 2.631 million viewers, up +58,000 year-over-year, while the folks in Fairmont Crest averaged 1.553 million viewers.

With 3.026 million viewers tuning in, “The Young and the Restless” remained the top scripted series and had the largest year-over-year gain across daytime broadcast among viewers, up +181,000, marking the show’s third consecutive week averaging more than three million viewers. Meanwhile, after an impressive performance one week earlier, “General Hospital” was once again below the two million viewer mark, though the show did see gains of +36,000 viewers compared to the same week last year.

As for the rest of daytime, the rebranded “GMA3” (aka: “GMA: The Third Hour”) attracted its second-lowest audience ever among Total Viewers (1.142 million) and tied its series low among Women 18-49 (0.11 rating). Elsewhere, “The Price is Right,” “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The View” continued to air amended repeats.
