Drew Barrymore, The Drew Barrymore Show

Renewed for a sixth season last year ahead of its Season 5 premiere, daytime talk show “The Drew Barrymore Show” will return for Season 6 on Monday, September 8, Soap Opera Network can confirm.

During Season 5, the Drew Barrymore-hosted talk show saw time period upgrades, including five of the top 10 markets, as well as a station and time slot upgrade in Houston, resulting in significant growth among Total Viewers (+17%) where it emerged as #2 talk show in national syndication, behind only the long-running “Live with Kelly and Mark.”

Also during Season 5, the talk show began airing as an hour block at 9:00 a.m. following “CBS Mornings” in three markets, including #1 New York (WCBS), #5 Dallas (KTVT) and #8 Boston (WBZ). In three additional markets, the talk show aired as an hour block at 3:00 p.m., including #4 Philadelphia (KYW), #10 San Francisco (KPIX) and #18 (WFOR). In #6 Houston, the show moved to NBC affiliate KPRC, airing in an hour block at 10:00 a.m.

As of February 2025, there was also year–over-year growth across all key demos, including +29% among Women 18-49, +17% among Women 25-54 and +10% among Adults 25-54.  Across digital platforms, the show was up +233% year-over-year to 227 million views on Facebook, while Instagram engagement was up +57%. Meanwhile, on TikTok, year-over-year growth was up +36% to 332 million total views.

Ahead of Season 6, “The Drew Barrymore Show” is releasing extended interviews with Season 5 guests all summer long on its YouTube Channel.

More recently, an extended cut of Barrymore’s conversation with Chet Hanks saw the talk show host get honest with the rapper/actor about their sobriety journeys. Other extended interviews include chats with Chloe Fineman (“Saturday Night Live”), the cast of “Sex Lives of College Girls” and “Yellowjackets,” as well as a sitdown with “Wicked” stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

“The Drew Barrymore Show” is produced and distributed by CBS Media Ventures. Taped in New York City, Drew Barrymore and Jason Kurtz serve as the show’s executive producers.
