He definitely has come into his own; I've maintained, since day one, he really should have been a Cameron recast; he'd still be in the age bracket with Emma/Josslyn/Trina, but just in a more organic, history-written way.

Does Olivia remember that she lied about Leo as well. Said he was dead. BL even helped hide Leo. They did it to protect him. Lois did what she felt best re Gio. No judgment  on either. I understand. Wish Olivia would re Lois. Hopefully, she gets there.

I don't think he would have been a bad Cameron recast, but the show really wanted to incorporate the violin.  He had to be a new character unless the show decided Cameron took up the violin and is an expert after his 1 year at Stanford playing soccer lol.

Swap out Cameron's guitar for the violin, which he picked up while attending college.

They got a few decent episodes out of it, but I don’t see the long term goal or story potential here.

Lois will likely go back on the back burner pretty soon, Gio is technically an adult, and who cares about Dante and Book Lynn having a child together in the long run? After the initial shock wears off, there’s no story left as it’s not like Dante and Brook Lynn are in love with each other but torn apart by circumstance, or their insta-child is reliant on them in any real capacity. It all feels very shortsighted.

I think GM would’ve worked as a recast Cam too

The storyline could’ve even been that Cam was still learning the violin over the last year and the Nurses Ball was meant to be his big break.

And it would’ve been nice to see Cam move on with Emma
