ARTICLE: RATINGS: Encores of ‘The Price is Right’ Top Final Season of ‘The Talk,’ ‘The View’ Sustains Lead Among Network News & Talk Shows

During the week of February 3-7, 2025, encore broadcasts of “The Price is Right” on CBS averaged just over 1.7 million viewers in the time slot previously occupied by “The Talk,” Soap Opera Network can report exclusively.

According to figures released by Nielsen, an encore of the second half-hour episode of “The Price is Right” averaged 1.769 million viewers at 2:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT while an encore of the first half-hour averaged 1.694 million viewers at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT, well and above the 15th and final season average of “The Talk” (1.240 million).

Compared to the same week last year, encores of “The Price is Right” were up substantially from the performance of “The Talk,” which averaged just 1.352 million viewers during the week of February 5-9, 2024. Ironically, that particular week marked one of the better performances for the show compared to its 14th season average among Total Viewers.

Note: Original episodes of “The Price is Right” aired in the game show’s regular timeslot. Total Viewers for the original episodes were not available at press time.

Out of the 13 weeks “The Talk” aired during its final season, only the final week of shows performed the best, averaging 1.319 million viewers (week of December 16-20, 2024). One week earlier, the show averaged 1.302 million (week of December 9-13, 2024). The talk show hit a season low during week two of the season (week of September 30-Octobebr 4, 2024), averaging just 1.166 million viewers.

In other ratings news, “The View” continues to top the charts among daytime network talk shows and news programs, averaging 2.565 million viewers for the week. It beat out “TODAY 3rd Hour” (1.917 million), “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” (1.429 million) and “NBC News Daily” (1.230 million). Meanwhile, “GMA3: What You Need to Know” averaged 1.429 million viewers.
