Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor Nation, Season 9, ABC

Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise” will have a new showrunner, Deadline reported on Friday.

According to the outlet, Scott Teti (“Claim to Fame,” “Summer House”) is taking over as showrunner of the popular reality series, part of ABC’s expansive franchise that also includes “The Bachelor” and spinoffs “The Bachelorette,” “The Golden Bachelor” and “The Golden Bachelorette.”

“Bachelor in Paradise” sees fan favorites from the franchise return for a second (or third) chance at finding love after leaving their respective seasons brokenhearted. With experience under their figurative belts, participants are given the opportunity to travel to a romantic paradise in the hopes of turning a potential summer fling into the real thing.

During the show’s ninth season (aired in fall 2023), Claire Freeland, Jason Ehrlich and Bennett Graebner served as showrunners following the exit of veteran producer Mike Fleiss, who had stepped down ahead of reported misconduct allegations. Freeland, Ehrlich and Graebner had also served as executive producers alongside Nicole Woods, Tim Warner and Louis Caric.

Changes first came to light earlier this week when Bachelor Nation host Jesse Palmer sat for an interview with Swoon, telling the outlet, “I am expecting some changes. I don’t know what those changes are going to necessarily be. I certainly have my own hopes what it might be, but I’m just really excited to get back to the beach personally, and to see our lovely cast, and to hopefully see some people fall in love and get engaged and to be back with [bartender] Wells [Adams].”

Teti, whose credits also include executive producing several iterations of the “Married At First Sight” franchise, began his career as an editor before joining 51 Minds Entertainment, producers of such shows as “Flavor of Love” and “Rock of Love.” He was also the showrunner for the first season of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” before later serving as an executive producer on other popular reality shows, including “Spy Games,” “Winter House,” “Married At First Sight: Couples’ Cam” and “Unmatchables,” among other series.

In addition to Teti, Season 10 will see “The Bachelorette” alums Jonathon Johnson and Hakeem Moulton taking part as cast members – the two quickly became fan favorites but were ultimately eliminated during Jenn Tran’s season.

“Bachelor in Paradise” is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon.

    • Mansion of the Damned sure is a "talkative" horror movie.  In the past when I've watched those episodes, I was paying attention to The Edge of Night characters and not really zeroing in on the rehearsals/blocking/filming of the actual movie.  This time I've been following the plot of Mansion of the Damned pretty closely, and all I can say is Hester Atherton and Nicholas Harriman are about the most chit-chatty Witch and Devil I've ever heard in my life!
    • Ashley and Derek have been so isolated that I need the show to develop something, anything to justify their presence. It's not that I think Joey being her father will be the greatest story ever told but at least it would be something and connect her to more characters. I just need the show to move forward with them. Out of all the characters, these are the only two with no storyline/development. We have recurring characters who are better used with less screentime. If the show is going to keep them on contract they need to do something with them.
    • I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
    • You won't even accept a minute cameo from Ms Marcil herself so she can collect her cheque?
    • Which has also slowed down from 100 pages a day, but I digress.

Yeah. When even I am getting annoyed with it (and still need to catch up on DAYS new team...two weeks behind now grrr) enough to take a break...and B&B holds my interest more for a show where nothing is going on...it's a BAD sign.   Seriously thinking about that break until

Then we go from there. I just can't believe JG just went and lost all the momentum that was built up over the last month. And during May Sweeps, too? No, ma'am.
    • Works for me!!! Just the back of some brunettes head and a hug lol on the Island And also, I like how it's brand new info Mo was good at his job in the 90's.  That's pretty much the entire reason he's still on the show.
    • I recently edited an older episode to do a Denise Alexander edit but Mo was in scenes & I had forgotten that back then he was actually good at his job.  The contrast with today is well alarming.

"Brenda. I quit the business! It's done!" The. End.
    • Sonny looking down at the floor today and for a few episodes is worse.  LW at least brings energy and Steve seems engaged. I would cut Mo at this point.  The love fests with Laura and on and on with everyone.  Just go find Brenda off screen and beg for her forgiveness.  THX, BYE!
