This week on “Days of our Lives,” Salem comes together to mourn the death of Doug Williams (the late Bill Hayes) as the daytime drama series celebrates its 15000th episode on Monday, December 2.

Viewers can look forward to the returns of several fan favorite characters including Liz Chandler (Gloria Loring), Marie Horton (Maree Cheatham), Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), and Steve Olsen (Stephen Schnetzer), among others.

Beginning Tuesday, December 3, actor Peyton Meyer takes on the role of Doug Williams III, the late Doug’s grandson. Fans might recall the actor from his roles on such shows as Lucas on “Girl Meets World” and Tripp on “American Housewife” (click here to learn more).
