I agree with everyone that the LuLu return has been fantastic.  I wasn't sure I'd warm to the new actress, but she had me in a NY minute!  The entire show is really coming together.  I hope we've seen the last of Cyrus.

This is by far the best soap on TV.  I can't watch B&B or Y&R without shuddering.

Okay, I really like AH as Lulu!

KS needs to lose the false eye lashes and that red lipstick, both look horrid on her

I wouldn't go as far as "best soap on TV" not with all the retcons and the damn propping of Frank's pets. IMO Lulu/AHB is the ONLY good thing this show has going for it

12-4

Wait. BLQ/Cody/Dante/Lulu? I mean...what? I do believe that is the first time that there has been a reference mentioned of BLQ and Cody around each other when they were younger. Things to make you go hmmm. Moreso if Gio is going to be BLQ's kid at some point. That said...if they go there, I guess that gives us some 30-somethings with things going on so Willow, Sasha, etc can leave. lol.

I found this episode more low-key. Still a lot that I liked, but it was giving the quick cuts again. And I felt like I didn't have nearly enough time to be in scenes as I would like.

Given I've been waiting and waiting and WAITING for THIS moment between Laura and Lulu (yay for it being on Wednesday!), how did I feel? Honestly...kinda meh. Was it great? Oh, yes. GF and AB gave me all that I needed and wanted. But the quick cuts + a year of anticipation might have my expectations waaaay too high. Or I was just greedy for more. Because the beginning with the camera angle from the door to Lulu on the couch. Laura cracking wise about her perfume. Lulu getting a look when Laura hesitated to let her know about Val and Char. That look that AB got aka the mama fury on her face. AB gave so much feistiness throughout in her scenes with GF. It was a great start and I can't wait to see how it will be once GF and AB get reeeeally get used to each other.

I actually liked the cross frames between Molly and TJ as they were discussing to their respective mothers about their issues. But again, I do love the rift between Molly and TJ and how it has continued. It just seems like so many people forget that surrogate or not...that WAS TJ's blood. And I felt like that was the easy B plot this episode.

I didn't mind the C plots much. So Jordan knows all the tea on Drew by Curtis. So I guess that's the end of any possibility of Jordan/Drew. And now Curtis is scheming. Could be interesting. And I am shocked how I was not feeling Ric/Ava until the end, but once I did...mmmmm. lol. I guess with that I'm just used to Ric being so smug around everyone NOT named Molly or Elizabeth.

Ugh. So I guess Charlotte will pop up at some point. My only question...will it be by Christmas or February Sweeps...probably involving Scorpio/Holly?

I continue to love that the writers are making us wait, wait, wait on people seeing Lulu. I dislike them for many things, but the writing for the majority of Lulu's return is not one of them.

Curtis will drop this Drew situation like a bad habit when he discovers a younger, even blonder iteration of Laura has awoken needing his full attention. "You were in a coma, Lulu. I know something about what that's like, I get a solid 7 every night."

Was Curtis even on the show when Emme played Lulu?  If so he's been on this show way too long.

ETA-just looked it up to see that DT has been on the show since 2015 which can't be real.  That's almost a decade.

I..can't even think of anything he's done that has been memorable except talking up fictional pairings with white women on the show.

I also thought Lulu was gone for about a million years even though she said 4 years in the dialogue a bunch lol.  Berman's Lulu is the last time I really cared about Lulu and I am only the most lukewarm fan of hers.

I said it before; it is insane Willow and Sasha have both been here near the balance of 10 years, insane that Curtis and Jordan are still here, insane that Molly and T.J. have been lingering 12 years. I could go on and on, even Nina who I like more lately, you name it.

I like how they haven’t even gotten to Bobbie yet for Lulu. Friday: Lulu asks if that bitch Britt is still on staff. Monday: Lulu wonders if the booze at Julian’s is still good.

It did feel like she was both not gone as long as four-years, and was gone longer than that. I cannot imagine going into a coma with the notion of Orangeman leaving office, and waking up to him returning to it. Not to mention, the deaths in Lulu's orbit, etc. WHEW.

I can't wait for her to ask about the Floating Rib, lmao. Imagine not remembering how you ended up in a coma?!

Lol.  It's not even like I can't remember ER's Lulu stories if prompted, but it all becomes a blur of weird children popping up and Dante cheating with Valerie.

I definitely cannot tell you how she went from Kate's assistant to reporter, but at least I know that happened.

    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!
