I assume you are not implying that we are all the same. Hispanic is not LatinX, which is both a cultural and political distinction, and should not be used interchangeably. In modern society, it is often considered poor form to conflate the two.  To compare a person whose Jewish grandfather left Spain during the diaspora with a Mexican actor, is like saying a person from Egypt is just like someone from Greece because they are both from ancient cultures.

I was referencing the fact that almost no LatinX actors have been cast as part of the Hernandez family as remarkable.  I'm not making a moral judgement, I just find it an odd coincidence that it has happened four times. Hopefully that clarifies my remark, as I have no desire to debate if people whose grandparents emigrated from Cuba or Puerto Rico should identify as Latino, because that is entirely up to them.

It is similar, but not exactly parallel, to the fact that Wendy Shin, a character from Hong Kong, is played by a Korean actress.  DAYS PR gets a lot of milage out of having ethnically diverse characters, although they are often cast without regard to the actor's actual identity.  Which, to me, smacks of paying lip service to the idea of inclusion without actually providing equitable oppertunties.
