“NATAS congratulates ‘The Young and the Restless’ on their renewal for additional four seasons,” said Adam Sharp, NATAS President & CEO. “‘Y&R’ and the Daytime Emmys celebrated golden anniversaries together in 2023, and it is so gratifying to see the continued passion for daytime television stay so strong. We look forward to celebrating with the ‘Y&R’ team again at the 51st Annual Daytime Emmys later this year.”

Averaging 3.5 million viewers this season when adding delayed viewership, “The Young and the Restless” remains the most-watched among all daytime scripted programs for a record-breaking 36th season. The series is also the most-watched daytime program among African American viewers.

Celebrating several anniversaries this year, including milestone anniversaries for notable anniversaries, including Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), who’s been on the show for 45 years and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), continuing with the show for his 44th year.

In honor of Scott and Braeden’s longevity, this April, the show will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Nikki and Victor’s wedding, which took place in April 1984 and was one of the highest-rated episodes in the show’s history.

Other notable cast anniversaries taking place this year include Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) at 35 years, followed by Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman), Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers), who are each celebrating 30 years since they joined the show.

    • Is today the day for the reveal of Andre/Dani?
    • I don't know how we would know if this is so or not.  We know he repurposed Edmund & Maria's some building & one was in Pine Valley & one is now in Port Charles so that's how we know with it, but, what clues do we have with these two/this one?

    • While you were replying to me, I added this edit to my post: They established in 2015 that Pat had signed the house over to the Eckerts in the 1960s, so that is the same house that the Eckerts had in-universe in 1991. May I ask then:  Carly's 2004-2009 house and Lulu's 2025 house are each supposed to be different buildings -- unrelated to Spencer history (despite them both being Spencer daughters) ?

    • I thought someone saw a pic in someone's IG acct. is all, but, cute, nope, not an announcement, although that's a lovely idea.  Memo to the Fans from Franky: The next set I will be repurposing - and expect you to all bow down & worship me in appreciation, .....  Indeed! That line would be as easy as  "TJ really thinks he's going to be glad he's now doing Doctors without Borders."
    • The only thing Martin running for president do was showcase how arrogant and defiant he is. Ignoring his grandparents concerns, giving him a god complex that his secret wouldnt be revealed and how selfish he was in comparisons to his dreams vs Smitty. That was the characterization it gave him and he still possess those traits. Its okay to move away from that given what just happened to his family. Knowing he has a huge secret, it never made sense for him to want to run for president and he's finally thinking logically.   Besides a presidential run wouldnt happen for another 3 years anyway so all the show would be doing is having him just talk about this by which point the characters will not even be in the same place. It wasnt a plo but something that would have had to cookign the background and tings move too fast to expect that to still be a thing when the time would come. Martin's secret most certainly will have been revealed thus killing any run he would have wanted anyway
    • Thank you! It would have been a nice nod to history if Lulu stated that she bought the house that her Eckert’s relatives used to live in.
