Do we suddenly have ads that take over the whole page?

I'm experiencing an ad that climbs up & up until it has completely covered the page, comes from the bottom up. When I click on it, it takes me to this address

https://www.bitsight.com/go-beyond-sec-compliance?utm_source=azerion&utm_medium=display&utm_campaign=bod-attract&utm_content=text-highimp-banner

And the text in the middle of the ad has the words "Go Beyond SEC compliance."

I'm sorry but I couldn't get a screen shot.

Ads like that do appear on the site, yes. Similar to other websites so it isn't a "bad" ad. You can click on the "X" icon at the top right/left of the ad to get rid of it or continue scrolling the page, as that also helps.

Circling back on this thread.

The ad type in question is an advertisement that appears as you scroll down/up a page. Once you scroll past the ad in either direction, you no longer see it. This type of ad usually appears on a post page and, more often than not, when viewing the message board/website using a mobile device.

Because the message boards have a 96% screen viewability setting instead of a set width (such as 1000px or higher), the ad appears larger on desktop than it normally would when viewed on the main website between an article, for instance.
