Earlier this week, CBS announced its 2023-2024 Fall TV schedule, which includes the launches of two new dramas, “Elsbeth” and “Matlock,” starring Carrie Preston and Kathy Bates, respectively, midseason drama “Tracker” starring Justin Hartley and the midseason comedy “Poppa’s House,” starring Damon Wayans and Damon Wayan Jr.

In anticipation of their launches, the network has released the official trailers for “Elsbeth” and “Matlock,” which you can watch below. Plus, in case you need reminding, we’re also providing a preview clip of “Tracker.”

“Eslbeth”

  • Reprising her role le as Elsbeth Tascioni from “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight,” Carrie Preston takes her intriguing character from Chicago to New York City when the astute but unconventional attorney utilizes her singular point of view to make unique observations and corner brilliant criminals alongside the NYPD. After leaving her successful legal career in Chicago to tackle a new investigative role in New York City, Elsbeth finds herself jockeying with the toast of the NYPD, Captain C.W. Wagner (Wendell Pierce). Working alongside Elsbeth is Officer Kaya Blanke (Carra Patterson), a stoic and ethical officer who quickly develops an appreciation for Elsbeth’s insightful and offbeat ways. The new series takes over the Thursday at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT slot.

“Matlock”

  • Kathy Bates returns to broadcast TV as the star of “Matlock,” which is technically not a reboot of the original series of the same name. In this iteration, Bates stars as Madeline “Matty” Matlock, a brilliant septuagenarian who achieved success in her younger years and decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases. Matty is assigned to Olympia (Skye P. Marshall), a senior attorney and key rainmaker thirsty for justice. Olympia’s ex-husband, Julian (Jason Ritter), the son of the head of the firm, is intrigued by Matty and her clever skills. As Matty endeavors to establish herself in her new high-stakes world, she works alongside the firm’s younger associates – the charismatic Billy (David Del Rio) and the uber-ambitious Sarah (Leah Lewis). This “Matlock” s inspired by the classic television series of the same name and occasionally references the TV original. The show takes over the Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT slot.

“Tracker”

  • Debuting after SuperBowl LVIII in February 2024, Justin Hartley (“The Young and the Restless,” “Passions”) plays lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw, who roams the country as a “reward seeker,” using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family.

    • Claire was always tightly wound, I think what Long was going to do is to throw the three into this impossible situation with no bad guys, Mo, knowing how to take care of kids from growing up but unable to conceive and Claire, who didnt know how to take care of kids and was totally focused on her career, gets knocked up.  Ryder took Claire off the deep end as a convenient way to make story for characters he wasnt interested in (though Pratt blames McTavish) with little effort. It was later explained to be a brain tumor (though why was she a bitch again when she returned?) \ Claire did sleep with Rick, she was his first!
    • I'm sorry, truly I am, but this literally made me LOL. Tempting fate, much?

    • Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately.  Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another.  She was always a side character to me.  I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.
    • I hated the swap-over; Clayton Norcross, to me, was far superior in the role of Thorne than Jeff Trachta ever was. And the recast left me disliking Thorne when he was the superior son to me. As for Teri Ann Linn, I feel like she got the raw deal. Kristen was very clear as a forefronting character, especially in her rivalry with Stephanie, and it feels like she was dropped off for Felicia, and they never returned it. Not to mention the subpar recast with Tracy Melchior in 2001. Someone like Brenda Epperson (ex-Ashley, Y&R) would've been more suited for that role.
    • I just remember when Leo was marrying Craig (?), Greg Rikaart stated a line and made direct eye-contact with Melissa Reeves, and when the camera cut to her, she looked away.

Rikaart had a mission that day, and he succeeded.
