Amazon Freevee has renewed  “Bosch: Legacy” for a third season, ahead of the second season premiere this fall. Starring Titus Welliver as Harry Bosch, a retired homicide detective turned private investigator, as he embarks on the next chapter of his career, the series will welcome “Days of our Lives” alum Guy Wilson (ex-Will Horton) to its cast for Season 2.

“The story of Harry Bosch has evolved over the years, and his journey is far from over,” said Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD Originals, unscripted, and targeted programming, Amazon Studios. “This renewal of ‘Bosch: Legacy’ is a testament to the enduring power of the world Michael Connelly built. We look forward to giving ‘Bosch’ fandom the next chapter for these beloved characters.”

“What a gift and a joy it is to be able to dig into these characters again and take their stories even further,” said Connelly, the show’s writer and executive producer. “Ten years ago, we began this amazing journey, partnering with Prime Video and now Amazon Freevee, and I couldn’t be happier with what we’ve done and will do.”

The second season sees numerous cast introductions, including David Denman (“Mare of Easttown,” “Brightburn”) as Kurt Dockweiler, Patrick Brennan (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” “The Next Three Days”) as David Foster, Rafael Cabrera (“Too Old to Die Young,” “S.W.A.T.”) as Vince Harrick, Bruce Davison (“X-Men,” “The Crucible”) as James Rafferty, Jessica Camacho (“All Rise,” “Watchmen”) as Jade Quinn, and Guy Wilson (“Angelyne,” “Days of Our Lives”) as Det. Kevin Long.

Returning cast members include Jamie Hector (Det. Jerry Edgar), Stephen A. Chang (Maurice “Mo” Bassi), Denise Sanchez (Det. Reina Vasquez), David Moses (Martin Rose), Cynthia Kaye McWilliams (Det. Joan Bennett), Scott Klace (Sgt. John Mankiewicz), Gregory Scott Cummins (Det. “Crate” Moore), Troy Evans (Det. “Barrel” Johnson), Jacqueline Pinol (Det. Julie Epinosa), Jacqueline Obradors (Christine Vega), DaJuan Johnson (Rondell Pierce), and David Marciano (Det. Brad Conniff).

Mimi Rogers continues in the role of attorney Honey “Money” Chandler, who struggles to maintain her faith in the justice system after surviving an attempted murder, and Madison Lintz continues as Maddie Bosch, who discovers the possibilities and challenges of being a rookie patrol cop on the streets of Los Angeles.

In a logline released for season two, Bosch and Chandler work together to seek out a killer who just might find them first. As a result of being kidnapped by a masked assailant, Maddie Bosch’s law enforcement career hangs in the balance. While they hunt for Maddie, the FBI scrutinizes Carl Rogers’ murder and places Bosch and Chandler under suspicion.

Produced by Fabel Entertainment for Amazon Freevee, the show is executive produced by Michael Connelly, Eric Overmyer, Tom Bernardo, Henrik Bastin, Pieter Jan Brugge and Titus Welliver.

    • Maybe there was a scheduling conflict or something. He still has the full time 9-5 in Atlanta, right? Julie was there. Idk if Maggie’s gonna be a part of it though
    • At this point, the best nonpaywall coverage of Los Angeles (and anything political)  is in...the Tennessee Holler https://bsky.app/profile/thetnholler.bsky.social And as always, emptywheel continues to be consistent https://bsky.app/profile/emptywheel.bsky.social
    • Today Monday was the start of people arriving at the funeral, but the service hasn't started yet.  I know this is the nonspoiler thread but I think it's okay to say (in nonspecific terms) that the funeral episodes span a few days.  I won't detail it more here. Just sayin' keep watching.
    • Why am I only now hearing about what happened in L.A., lol?
    • While I agree that Reeves is Jennifer, I honestly do prefer Cady McClain in the role, as I feel she had/has a wider range of acting capabilities than I feel Reeves has. It's the strength of an actor, ultimately, for me, regardless of how I feel about Reeves' political/social views (which I widely disagree with). Plus, not to mention, they costumed Reeves like an old-fashioned frumpy farm/Moron wife, while McClain had some fashion-forward moments.
    • Wait - so no Will, Jack, or Jen at John's funeral? That’s just weird. What was the point of bringing them back then? Did Julie and Maggie even show up? I mean, seriously.

    • Has anyone ever totted up how many women on GL slept with both father and son(s)? Reva gets a lot of crap for it but she's far from the only one: Claire Beth Blake Olivia Dina Did I miss anyone?  Also, did Reva ever sleep with Phillip? They always had some "closeness" thing, but I don't know if they ever actually did the deed. If they did, then Reva's the clear winner, with TWO families covered, lol!
    • I think Long was probably planning to have Claire suffer from Post Partum, but she left the writing staff shortly after Claire had Michelle so that element didn't get explored. And I always assumed that when Claire returned in the late 90s/early 00s.. that she was realizing that she messed up by not staying a part of Michelle's life and became resentful/bitter over her previous choices.  That was my theory.
