Ilia Malinin wins World Championship March 2025 with six quads!

 

I’m local to Reston, VA in Northern VA and was surprised there was not a ton about the crash a month or so ago.  Ilia flew that same route on American just a few days before.  The skaters here are all dealing with it in their own way.  
 

Regardless I the Russian federation missing - this was a huge moment for US Figure skating in a sport that has had its share of massive tragedy spanning decades.
