I'm happy that occasionally this show is still about fashion, like when Ellen von Unwerth guest starred. This was a  pretty cool cameo.

Due to budget restraints, they just cannot pull a big fashion show twice a year these days. Taht said:even in the past we had backstage view fashion shows pr "previews" in Eric's office or so. Both could be done.

You're not the only one! I only watched the rooftop scenes today and I half expected them to kiss when they were sitting curled up next to each other leaning against that white wall. I definitely saw chemistry there and the scene really did feel sort of romantic.

Now, if the show had actually gone there, THAT would have been a twist that would have lived up to the hype. Taylor the psychiatrist getting romantically involved with Sheila the lunatic who tried to kill her and everyone else in her family would have been epic.

So another thing I don't understand about this storyline: When Steffy had regained consciousness and Sheila was alone with her in the hospital room, Sheila was looking menacingly at all the medical equipment by Steffy's bedside and looked like she was about to do... what exactly? It seemed like Sheila was about to kill Steffy, but how could she possibly do that using those machines?

Edit: I guess one of the machines controlled the pain medication?

    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
