How has Days of our Lives been similar to Santa Barbara?  How has Days been different from Santa Barbara?  I'm particularly interested in the period that lasted from July 30, 1984 to January 15, 1993.

Joseph Bottoms had villainous roles on both Santa Barbara and Days of our Lives.  On Days, he played a character named Cal Winters.  On Santa Barbara, Bottoms played a villain named Kirk Cranston.  Were Joe's Kirk and Joe's Cal similar to each other?  Check out the following links and judge for yourself:

I did. thirty years ago. When the conversation would matter. Bottoms was on Days for a month and a half, two months tops, then portrayed by Wotham Krimmer for a year. I don't even remember Bottoms in his scenes, that's what I've got

According to this page, Wortham Krimmer played Cal before Joseph Bottoms did.
