The 80-year-old actor died in Los Angeles, according to his representative Paul Doherty. Elliot Carlin: Yesterday morning... I was possessed by the devil. And he was also very good in his St. Elsewhere guest spots as a mental patient...he was a big part of that hilarious episode where John Doe kept seeing MTM-show characters everywhere.
