The critics hate on this show for its super-slow burn, and I think it could go sideways in the second year without Mendelsohn's more active presence and a bunch of new storylines, but I thought the character depth and exploration last time was so fantastic I am definitely going to watch. Members Juliajms Posted May 29, 2016 Members Share Posted May 29, 2016 I'm on episode 5 of the new season, so spoilers. I would say the show has not gone sideways. There is a lot going on and the siblings are disintegrating due to Danny's murder. It's really interesting to watch. John has balls of steel in some ways.
