It's back! It's only 10 episodes, though.  I hope that's not a bad sign.

 

It will be a while until I get to it but I can't wait!

I think 13 was too many last time.

 

The critics hate on this show for its super-slow burn, and I think it could go sideways in the second year without Mendelsohn's more active presence and a bunch of new storylines, but I thought the character depth and exploration last time was so fantastic I am definitely going to watch. It was just a fascinating journey into a family and place, pure Florida/Southern gothic.

I'm on episode 5 of the new season, so spoilers.

 

 

I would say the show has not gone sideways. There is a lot going on and the siblings are disintegrating due to Danny's murder.  It's really interesting to watch. John has balls of steel in some ways. KC is so likeable, I'm having a hard time completely hating his character, but he truly has some nerve running for sheriff.
