Still haven't seen this film, but I read for a pilot that McQ is producing/directing for HBO. Some pretty intense stuff dealing with the fluidity of sexuality, power, and race.

For me, this movie was definitely worth the wait. And haunted me for the rest of the day after watching it.

And that ending, I just cried.

You guys are so great, thank you for the love and support. They contacted my agent making sure that I was still free with no other pilot conflicts (Ha! I wish!) but I haven't heard anything in over a week so it's probably not a go. But a blessing to have even been strongly considered!

I hate to be one of those Nagging Nellies, but please run out and read the book, for those who haven't. The movie's wonderful, but the book truly deserves just as much (if not, more) attention than the flick is getting.
