Instead of allowing the Hollywood machine to steamroll over her, she walked away on her terms and that's a damn admirable thing to accomplish - especially during those times. Mayer said, "Dump the fat one," and they got confused and fired Deanna. She was also a key part of an episode of Mama's Family, as Mama was a big fan of hers and was singing some of her songs while home alone watching a Deanna Durbin marathon.
