Members VirginiaHamilton
I'd read about her recently and am happy that she got to live a fulfilling and long adult life out of the spotlight. Instead of allowing the Hollywood machine to steamroll over her, she walked away on her terms and that's a damn admirable thing to accomplish - especially during those times. Members DRW50
Sad to see the legends go. The old story was that when she and Judy were at MGM, Louis B. Mayer said, "Dump the fat one," and they got confused and fired Deanna. She was also a key part of an episode of Mama's Family, as Mama was a big fan of hers and was singing some of her songs while home alone watching a Deanna Durbin marathon.
