EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I've been trying to convert old VHS tapes into dvds and I found an episode of The City with little Kayla, the girl Angie and Jacob wanted to adopt before she was taken away and they found Cassandra. She would also be a good addition to the show.

Watching the All My Children finale right now. Damn I miss this show SOOOOOOOO much!

I miss it the most of all the axed soaps and im so sad about the HW choice.

Agreed. I think one of the mistakes they made when Adam left the show was too seldom mention him. If they simply build a story around an off camera Erica, people would still tune in.

So looks like Jessie & Angie's story could involve Cassandra. Again I really hope we get Frankie back & Natalia too.

Bren Coombs facebook - never heard of her before but is part of Soap Opera Socialite and was responsible for fan events, ‘Celebrate Pine Valley’ and ‘Celebrate Llanview,’ which celebrated the finales of All My Children and One Life To Life.

And I think the other Hubbards may be off somewhere, and their story will revolve around Cassandra, and possibly Maya and Lucy.

I think they should try to get one of the old JRs to be JR. Specifically Jesse McCartney or Jonathan Bennett. That would be kind of cool. McCartney would also have a bit of star appeal/buzz. There's nothing wrong with de-SORASing him a bit in my opinion. It could take him in a new directon away from the world-weary, cynical, hypocritical Jacob Young-era interpretation. At the same time, having it be a previous JR would bring familiarity and experience too. The show is probably going to center somewhat on JR, and I don't want some random who doesn't get the character or AMC, and who is still learning how to act, in that role.

Jonathan Bennett has been super busy. He books roles non stop it seems.

‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ Casting Sessions Underway

I wonder if JR and Cassandra are the only roles AMC is recasting. I would say the less recasts, the better, but I can't imagine the show without a Chandler presence so perhaps Natalie Hall or Daniel Cosgrove are working on their deals now. As for the higher profile characters of Bianca, Kendall, Greenlee, Ryan...I mean, recasting those characters at this point is essentially not worth it but it makes me wonder if they're working out deals with the respective actors because those are big holes to fill.

Oh, I agree. Of the three, I think Ryan could be re-used. I know that sounds sexist, but I detested Greenlee and I've always preferred SMG's Kendall.

The cast so far is solid but it's not enough and I also don't feel like it's enough of the "face" people from the last few years of the show. Not that that's a bad thing at all but I'm curious where the new focus will be if they're gone. Do you have any inklings, Errol?

I see both Cameron and Alicia returning as part of AMC's "recurring" cast. Rebecca? For some reason I feel like she was more a pet of Frons (let's not remind ourselves of the REAL Greenlee promo tour), so I just don't see her on except for a VERY limited capacity. I think for her it depends on Walt and Susan, if anything.

Now I'm going to say this though...if Susan Lucci does sign on (whichever capacity), my gut tells me we won't hear the news until the day before or day of filming for bigger press impact.

Do you think AMC's contract cast will be smaller than OLTL's just due to actor availability? I feel like AMC will have the larger recurring cast.

I wonder if Jamie Luner was contacted. I'm still waiting for them to change their minds and contact Walt Willey and Stephanie Gatschet but frankly, Bobbie Eakes can remain un-contacted.

I just find it weird how few people they seem to have contacted from the final cast compared to OLTL.
