So we're off! Zero Dark Thirty has taken the early lead in the awards season. The bad news is the NBR's pick for Best Picture the last 3 years didn't end up as Best Picture at the Oscars. NY Critics got it right last year and 2 out of the last 3 years.

I like that you do this too, Toups. I need to watch all these movies! OMG. Not sure how I never heard about Zero Dark Thirty. I severely need to get back in the loop on these things; I am working my way into this business after all ;-) LOL. Just watched the trailer, and I cannot wait to see it now.

Only having watched the trailer, isn't Zero Dark Thirty just another The Hurt Locker?

And I have to wonder if Sally Field wins the Oscar if she'll proclaim that she now knows that we really, really, REALLY like her.

No it's different. ZDT is the story surrounding Bin Laden's capture.

And I have to wonder if Sally Field wins the Oscar if she'll proclaim that she now knows that we really, really, REALLY like her.

If she wins, I would love to see her do that. LOL But I'll be rooting for Anne Hathaway if she gets a nod for supporting.

It's cool, Alvin. LOL

Yes for Anne Hathaway getting a nod! This will surely increase her chances of getting an Oscar nomination. I'm also rooting for Argo and Ben Affleck - hope he gets a DGA nomination and of course and Oscar nod too.

A Ben Affleck fan? Are you big foot?

I'm one, too! Shh ...

LOL I never abandoned Ben during the Bennifer 1.0 era. I'm just so glad he's status as a director has just skyrocketed with three consecutive well respected movies and to possibly top it off with an Oscar nomination will just be amazing.
