Members Ann_SS
Sally Ride, physicist, astronaut, author, and a true hero has died. I remember Sally Ride's first mission into space on Challenger like it was yesterday. I was so excited to witness the first American woman to ever go into space. She could have become wealthy, instead she pursued education with the determination to share her passion for science with girls and young women. I hope she is flying through the heavens. Rest in peace, Sally.
Members DRW50
She really was an inspiration. I'm sure it must have hurt her to see what's become of the space program, but nothing can take away what she accomplished.
