James Franco: "General Hospital Was an Experiment"

I'm probably the only person that enjoyed James Franco's stint (well, at least his first one, since I didn't watch his second), as I saw it for what it truly was - a hilarious mocking of how asstastic (post-2000) GH writing was/is.

Anywho, he is debuting the finished product of his stint (Francophrenia) at the Tribeca Film Festival this Friday and discusses it with THR: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/james-franco-francophrenia-ian-olds-general-hospital-critics-312520

I don't think he knew enough about GH to mock the show being bad. He's working again with one of the producers who helped make it bad in the first place.

He said this sometime last year. As if anyone really cares about his opinion of GH. And we know part of the reason he kept coming back was his friend Jill

I think he looked at the state of GH (from its synopsis), saw what a stinking turd it was on paper, and decided to do a stint for shits and giggles (as well as publicity).

I guess that also explains his Oscars hosting.

Perhaps...

(though I didn't think he or Anne Hathaway were any worse than most of the Oscar hosts, save for Hugh Jackman and Chris Rock that were actually entertaining)
