Members Mr. Vixen
Who do you think will be nominated? And who do you think will win? Here's my guesses. Best Actress: Viola Davis (The Help) - Winner Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady) Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn) Charlize Theron (Young Adult) Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) Best Actor: George Clooney (The Descendants) - Winner Brad Pitt (Moneyball) Leonardo DiCaprio (J. Edgar) Jean Dujardin (The Artist) Ryan Gosling (Drive) Best Supporting Actress: Octavia Spencer (The Help) -Winner Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) Jessica Chastain (The Help) Sandra Bullock (Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close) Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help) Best Supporting Actor: Kenneth Branagh (My Week With Marilyn) - Winner Jonah Hill (Moneyball) Patton Oswalt (Young Adult) Tom Hanks (Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close) Christopher Plummer (Beginners) I'll have to finish this later...I have no idea for Best Picture, song, etc. Your thoughts? Members quartermainefan
all the buzz these days is about "The Artist" the black and white silent movie. That will score some noms for sure.
Members Bright Eyes
It's a damn shame Meloncholia and Kirsten Dunst don't have the buzz they deserve.

Members AdelaideCate007
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close has gotten pretty bad reviews overall and seems dead on arrival- I don't think that's going to get anything more than one or two nods at the most (Von Sydow in Supporting Actor is the most likely probably). I don't think Rooney Mara is going to happen either- its a crowded category and if a "newbie" was going to get in, I'd think it would be Elizabeth Olsen before Mara; she has better reviews and doesn't have the baggage of being in a remake of a movie that just came out. My predictions: Lead Actor: Brad Pitt for Moneyball Leonardo Dicaprio for J. Edgar Michael Fassbender for Shame Jean Dujardin for The Artist George Clooney for The Descendants Lead Actress: Michellle Williams for My Week with Marilyn Viola Davis for The Help Meryl Streep for The Iron Lady Glenn Close for Albert Nobbs Tilda Swinton for We Need to Talk About Kevin (she's hit all the big awards so far- i dont think she's going to miss) Supporting Actress: Shailene Woodley for The Descendants Jessica Chastain for The Help Octavia Spencer for The Help Berenice Bejo for The Artist Janet McTeer for Albert Nobbs Supporting Actor: Jonah Hill for Moneyball Christopher Plummer for Beginners Albert Brooks for Drive Kenneth Branagh for My Week with Marilyn Nick Nolte for Warrior Best Picture: Hugo Moneyball The Help The Artist The Descendants Midnight in Paris Tree of Life War Horse
