Members DRW50
What a beautiful work of art you crafted - the articles, the Christmas card from the Carey family, the exhaustive detail on early Christmas gatherings. The details for the first Horton ornament ceremony are so moving to read, especially the moment when the Horton grandchildren and spouses get their ornaments for the first time, Sandy in tears, Mike giddy. Reading this I can see why fans are so protective of this tradition. I loved the 1965 episode, and never thought I'd get to see it. I wish they'd managed to keep Marie around longer - the idea of Marie as the troubled Horton child gives so much drama. Who was that Lil woman and how did her story end up?
