AMC has cast a new 8 year old girl, Taylor Groothius to play Mackenzie: http://thepinevalleybulletin.blogspot.com/2011/03/casting-news-taylor-groothuis-joins-amc.html

We already have several girls around that age, Miranda, Kathy and Emma. I wonder why they would hire another. My first thought is who's secret kid is she. Was Kathy switched at birth? Twins? Another Ryan, sperm kid?

Looks like it's just a one day role as a kid-bud. This is from the kid on Twitter:

"LOVED being a guest star today on 'All My Children'!!!!!!!!!! It's going to air on ABC on May 9th. Everyone was so wonderful. GREAT day!"

The most interesting information provided here is that on Thursday, March 31 they taped the Monday, May 9 episode.

Assuming Emma's still hating fiercely on Greenlee at this time in the future (I hope), I'd love if this girl was like a friend of Emma's whose over for a sleep over one night and Emma convinces her to be mean to Greenlee with her or something ;-P

That seems a little far ahead than usual for the show, right?? I always heard/read that they taped 3-4 weeks ahead.

It's just a little over 5 weeks ahead. Factor in any time off/dark weeks especially with a holiday coming up at the end of April.
