What an incredible talent she was. I  Hit and Run, such a great groove, and she really nails it to the wall.

Hit and Run is just the ideal. I read somewhere that this was a big trailblazer for disco/dance songs, although I can't remember where now.

I admit my fave disco was never the Salsoul/American sound, but I love Loleatta--she will be missed.

Of course I heard this first in its Marky Mark/Funky Bunch sample lol

I used to hate when Hit and Run would pop up on Music Choice's Classic Disco because then I'd know that I'd be stuck with it for ten looong minutes. But once I actually listened to it...I fell completely in love.

Do they still have the disco channel? I used to love listening to Touch and Go 0 it's tough to find a good version of that on Youtube.

No, they phased the disco channel out a few years ago. First, it was its own 24/7 channel, then they paired it with old school rap (like they swap out every 12 hours or something like that), then they were both cut. That channel was the way I discovered so many old disco singers/groups who don't really get a whole lot of exposure today, like Loleatta, First Choice, Sylvester, Evelyn Champagne King, etc. I really miss it.
