The Scoop on OLTL's Rama

Bubbly actress Shenaz Treasurywala (Rama) has created a full back story for Rama, the brand new ONE LIFE TO LIVE character she plays. Ever wonder how she and Vimal got together? "It was an arranged marriage," suggests Treasurywala. "She was very young when she married him. But she has grown to love him, he is her family now and he is a good husband and sends money home to his parents and hers. But Rama does wonder what it would be like to be with other men," admits Treasurywala to Soap Opera Weekly. Hmmm... THAT will be interesting! For the full interview with Treasurywala, pick up the Feb. 15 issue of Weekly.

Hmmmm...Im confused bc the article makes it seem as if its just the actress' interpretation but I wonder if thats inspire by the show's plans for her. Either way, I hope they give them more of a backstory bc these are 2 of the more interesting characters in a while

It is confusing, but I think it's just the way they've written it.

I hope Rama and Vimal stay for a while after Clint's schemes are exposed, as they have a lot of potential. Also, these are the first two Indian characters that I've seen in all my years of watching a US soap, so it's refreshing to see the cultural landscape mixed up in this way.

I also wonder if there's more to explore with Rama and Aubrey, as it's unclear how much Rama knows about the con artist - she did just so happen to go to the same French school as the real Aubrey Wentworth, but then Aubrey had to introduce her own last name, hinting that Rama may have known her under a different alias.
