Our top 10. Let's see, what did they do this month, what did they do.......Phyllis ran around town like a hyena, found out she might be a grandmother, and argued with Lauren and Michael.

Jack got duped, like 6 times. Michael was an attorney and semi-doting husband. Heather backed out of an election and "noticed things" about Ronan. Sharon boinked Nick and looked longingly at Adam, whilst throwing a bracelet in her purse. Victoria combed her hair once, whined about Victor, and whined about Reed. Nick boinked Sharon, gave her the old ring back, and talked to Nikki. Chloe went around town spying on Kevin, Adam looked longingly at Sharon in between being bored at hedge fund meetings, and Kevin tried to pay Jimmy Berluti in between visiting Daisy in jail and considering adopting an unborn demon spawn.

The only one who had actual story was, you guessed it, Victor. Yougahthat?

So Summer AND Fen were on more than Jill this month?!?

Just. Crap.

Don't even like him, but they couldn't even trot him out for Thanksgiving this year?!? It's not like he's expensive.

This is ridiculous- these 2 actors have been on contract all year, even featured in the opening credits. HOW are their contract cycles being picked up?!?

Rauch: Jess, can you come up to the production booth for a second?

Jess: You asked to see me boss?

Rauch: Yes, you know Jess, Jill is Lauren's sister. We need you to start playing your scenes more like a Fenmore and less like a Chancellor

Jess: Well actually, Paul, with all due respect, I've been playing her as a Foster, since that's the way she was raised.

Rauch: No, no, Jill was raised by that old lady Liz that we killed when we revealed you as Lauren's sister. She was never in foster homes.

Jess: I meant her family, the Fosters?

Rauch: Oh, you mean that Hasselhoff family? Well, forget all that- you're Jill Fenmore now. Play Jill Fenmore. You know, Lauren's sister? Anyway, I'm gonna give you the month off to ponder my notes.

Jess exits.

Rauch: Wardrobe? It's Rauch here- ya know that outfit we'd picked out for Jill? Ya, scratch that, Walton's got the month off.....(listens in receiver).........yes, I know that it was a very Fenmore outfit but I make the calls and Jess is out for a month. Since she's a size 12 also, how bout we just throw it on Melody for her scenes with Victor when she's back from pondering the notes I gave her on kissing Sean Kanan?

   And :( I can picture this actually being said, in truth.

Braeden must have one of those 180-200 episodes-a-year guarantees, huh. I find it amazing that, in a SL about Nikki and her addiction and being gaslit by Meggie, Braeden features almost twice as much as her.

    • I'm not sure it's as unpopular as you think.  I just think the show knew they were in a bind, and needed a proven couple for the viewers to invest in. Trying to reunite Vanessa and Ross had just failed in 87. I don't think Ed and Holly's affair was well received, as Simon and Garrett had a brother/sister chemistry. Enter Billy and Vanessa, who give you history and an out not to try and do a Josh/Reva/Billy triangle, which would've really wrecked the relationship between Josh and Billy. I'd have been ok with trying Vanessa/Ross again, and doing a Vanessa/Ross/Holly/Billy quad for a while. I hated Nadine. HATED. She had to be the most insufferable also-ran before ATWT's Julia Lindsay.
    • GROSS. Michael Swan was hot back in his ATWT days. Now he's 76 and WAY past his hot years.
    • Since she kidnapped, locked up and tried to kill her father's wife I'd say that is still a pretty big deal
    • I'm good with the gushing, too. There aren't many soap icons like John Black, and that's important to celebrate and remember. And yes, life does go on for other characters, but as they say, timing is everything. Going sky diving the day before the funeral? And during a week of shows that were so powerful emotionally? No.
    • No. There might have been a slight pause for dramatic effect after his "death," but pretty soon after they showed him in France getting plastic surgery and getting involved with his doctor, then planning with her to bring Christina to France. (She thought he had good reason to do it; she wasn't a bad person or anything). Now that I think of it, there must have been some kind of pause before that, during the 70s. Rita was accused of killing a private patient for an inheritance when she lived in Texas. Part of the backstory was that Roger had been there, too. Not sure exactly when or how long that was.
    • I've already stated that I don't like Doug being written as this meek and submissive. It was so lame watching him leave her like that. Vanessa can divorce him, but she then needs to get her thot ass into therapy. She's not only having sex with every guy she runs into, but is now having  sex with a skeevy perv on a poker table. I'm going to give the BTG some credit here. For months, many on this board were delighting in the Vanessa/Joey flirting and what they saw as chemistry. I think we're now seeing what the writers always intended -- that Joey is a disgusting POS wannabe mobster.
    • John Black actually was the ultimate good guy soap hero. So I don’t mind the town gushing over him. It’s deserved.
