Members SFK Posted September 25, 2010 Members Share Posted September 25, 2010 I agree, there's nothing "new" about this at all, it's just grown progressively worse. There have always been well-known film and theatre stars who've made guest appearances on television going back to its advent, but it was with Friends in the '90s that we really began to see all of those juicy little guest star and recurring roles that could have made stars, or at least built careers or been wonderfully played by talented lesser knowns, go to A-listers. NBC's other sitcoms followed suit, we also saw it on Frasier and especially W&G. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
