How do we know it was Tom Selleck? Has it been confirmed?

http://www.deadline.com/2010/08/exec-producer-ken-sanzel-to-exit-blue-bloods-after-behind-the-scenes-creative-tension-with-tom-selleck/

He was feuding with the showrunner, but he doesn't fit the part of: "The male lead on a Big Five hour drama set to debut this fall is on the verge of being recast." .....because Selleck IS the show.

Thanks, Toups!

The diva IS Tom Selleck, the pompous old gasbag himself.

Why would anyone hire him? He's not just pompous and gassy, he's butt-[!@#$%^&*] ugly, esp. with that mustache. The rest of the cast is okay, but SellICK makes me not want to watch it. Who is he blowing?

Also, I found out that three of the shows I really want to watch in the fall are on Mondays at 9 (GG, The Event, and Lone Star). Of course, The Event may turn out to be this year's Flash Forward, and Jason Ritter is no Joe Fiennes. And Lone Star will be on Fox Full Episodes the next day. So it should be no biggie.
