<span style="font-size:10.5pt;">"Smallville" creators Al Gough and Miles Millar have signed a two-year overall deal with Sony Pictures TV, where they will develop series for the studio.

"We plan to hit the ground running with a broad range of projects aimed at both network and cable," Millar said.

Added Gough, "We are excited by the opportunity to broaden our TV horizons and think the team at Sony Television is the perfect creative fit."

The CAA-repped Millar and Gough are best known for launching and showrunning the sci-fi series "Smallville" for eight seasons. They departed the show, now on the CW, in 2008.

The duo then made a first-look feature deal at Disney, where they have produced "Hannah Montana: The Movie," the successful theatrical take on the Disney Channel series.

Their feature credits include "Shanghai Noon," "Spider-Man 2" and the upcoming Steven Spielberg-Michael Bay production "I Am Number Four."
