Short term characters who took off

McTavish did write for black characters during her first two AMC runs, and then at GL (although the stories she gave black characters at GL were horrible and offensive, so that may not count).

I think everything she writers is horrible and offensive. And it's pretty funny how she trashed the equally horrible team of B&E during the writer's strike. It's pretty absurd when one hack calls another duo of hacks, hacks.

I hate giving her the benefit of the doubt because she probably doesn't deserve it, but I do think that any writer who works under Frons is automatically crippled.

I definitely agree with the last part of that statement. I really wished that Lorraine Broderick took over as HW of AMC as opposed to Megan in 2003. It was rumored LB was Frons' first choice.

Scott Evans was only supposed to play Fish for a few days and now he's one of OLTL's growing stars.

Chad Brannon's Zander took off so well that he was paired with Emily and stayed on GH for three years.

Elizabeth Hendrickson was so well-received as Frankie Stone on AMC that they brought her back as Maggie.
