Members MarkH
I guess DC is reporting that Lily will have uterine (?) cancer, and Malcolm will return for that. Also, when Rafe stumbles onto the truth, Adam doesn't just kiss him...Adam f*cks him. Wow.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Meh and meh.... More dark and f.ucked up storytelling that will probably have very little longterm value anyway. And people wonder why some of us think this show is a convoluted and plot driven mess. caramia said it best, this isn't gritty, it's sh!tty... Members MarkH
Okay, but maybe Lily dies. Dies!! That's even better than killing Cane at this point. And, well, I do wanna see Adam f*cking Rafe...plot-driven as it is...I'm making popcorn for that one.
Members cara mia
I'll do my best to keep an open mind on Rafe/Adam. I was very intrigued by the idea with CE in the role cause I think he's incredibly hot but I confess that MM (handsome as he is) does nothing for me. You never know though - it might be hot. We'll see. As for Lily and the cancer-- it could be good, it could be silly. I'm just not sure if DG has the chops for this.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Keep dreaming, we're not that lucky. You're crazy if you think they're going to show that on daytime. They'll probably have Adam and Rafe fall on the bed and the next scene laying next to another and insinuating that they just f.ucked. Blah, this show is a mess. Members JackPeyton
Adam [!@#$%^&*] rafe is plot driven now too? Really? I dont agree at all. Adam will do ANYTHING to keep this going. If he can kill a baby and make a woman think shes still prego - he can [!@#$%^&*] a dude.
Members MarkH
Okay, what I'm about to say is gonna sound awful. But here is why I prefer Muhney in the role to Engen (I think). Muhney screams "top" to me. Which is just what Rafe needs. Don't hate me. Oh, I know we won't see much. But I'll bet it is more that ATWT ever showed us with Nuke. Members cara mia
What's plot driven is not Adam killing or baby or sleeping with Rafe, but the fact that Adam is the kind of character who will do ANYTHING and has NO limits. Yes, sounds like it could be a good villain but that does not ring true for the kind of villain that Adam Wilson would be. That just doesn't jive with his background and what we've seen to date. I expect Y&R's characters, especially legacy characters, to have some type of psychological truth to them. I just find nearly every character -- from Ashley to Sharon to Adam to Jack to Jill and on -- is ringing false with me right now. Crazy plot twists are meaningless if you don't care about the characters or feel connected to them.
Members JackPeyton
But dont you think hes blinded, pun intended, by his need for revenege? I find the show in general a big plot point, but certin characters i think are in character for wht has been written for them - sharon, billy, adam to speak of. Members cara mia
MarkH, I could never hate you! We have different perspectives. I'm a straight woman -- I assume you're a gay guy? Ever since I saw My Beautiful Launderette though, I have had an appreciation for a good gay love story though. I think that as a straight woman though I might be like straight guys who enjoy watching girl/girl action as long as they think both girls are hot. Though when it comes to a het love, I can watch a love story where I find only one person hot. I would guess straight guys are like that, too - as long as the girl is hot, it works for them, that's why we have so many stories of average guys & hot women. Back to my point, I personally find YG to be very cute and CE to be all that and a bag a chips -- so, plot contrivance aside, I would have appreciated the sight of them in bed together. Even though I know that MM is technically handsome, he just doesn't do it for me, so I don't know if I'm going to like this story or not. We'll see... Members Sylph
Adam has become a crappy character and needs to be written off (ie. killed) ASAP. Bye, Adam!
Members JackPeyton
Great post. I would much rather see rafe find out about Adam and adam start a poor me story and crying and as rafe goes to hug him adam slips him a kiss. a hawt passionate i need you kiss and takes it from there then strings this guy along for months. pretty much how i see it going if it was a male/female
Members cara mia
I get that Adam is blinded by a need for revenge. I just can not buy that a son of Hope Wilson is so very depraved that he killed Ashley's baby and let's her think it's still alive. So Adam has no limits? Is he going to grow up to be Hitler? Really?! In real life, women like Hope can have screwed up kids -- but this? If you have a real-life example please send it me because I just don't think this is credible. Dark Adam is great. Baby-killer/woman-torturer Adam though is pure plot.
