This is just amazing. And now even more amazing to see them in their original photocopied form.

Who did these? And who subscribed to them? Why would someone have bought these, back then?

Almost more fun than the plot summaries (gosh, I wish I could had watched Days during the period you described in this issue) are the cast changes.

How did you get these, FrenchFan??

I'm glad you like it. An old friend of mine had some issues and gave me four of them (Feb, March, July, Aug 1974). I wish I could fine more but it is very very very hard to find and you can be sure I keep trying. I know the webmaster of the Edge of Night page has the whole series beginning in December 1972 but I can't reach him. I'm following another lead to find more.

Thanks so much for these synopses! They're great! It's funny I was just thinking about Kim's "unmiscarriage" the other day and wondered what posters would have done to Marland for doing such a thing? Of course, it turned about to be a good story initially -- helmed by three really strong actors. One thing that people forget in looking back at these summaries, particularly in 70s, is that these stories were REALLY SLOW. You had a lot a rehashing and angst over months and months. If a story was great, it was awesome, but if it wasn't ... well it was painful. (The first story I remember was ATWT and Besty was deaf or something like that. That sent me to AMC. I didn't return to the show until 82.)

    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?
    • as posted upthread, this interview was on that channel's youtube   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLraEMlqtTw
