The main difference between Babe and Marisa is that Marisa is a classic-type heroine rather than a lying, smug babystealing tramp. It was impossible to root for Babe due to her attitude.

The drama that resulted from Babe's death, especially with Krystal's meltdown, which led to her relationship with David, and the custody battle for Little A was terrifically compelling.

Exactly. I root for Marissa. I didn't really root for Babe. Let's hope they don't ruin Marissa.

Agreed. There are emotional scars that will never go away and have led to very interesting turnaround in the town. And like I said, they knew Babe would go someday. Now she's gone in a way that warrants her being brought up daily in a way that pimps her good qualities over having to focus on her bad.

Just finally catching up --- surprised to see Amanda Baker back as Babe! I totally forgot that was coming... VI totally sold those scenes.
