April 3, 200916 yr Member As I've said before, the writing for the relationship is noncommittal and extremely ambiguous. Not to me The writing is horrible for David but really good for Krystal. Unless the director's directing Vincent to play David as not caring about Krystal. I see Vincent making the choice and playing it as David loving Krystal I don't see that at all. To me Vincent plays it as David using Krystal Vincent's done a great job with David's motivations toward Lil A. His marriage to Krystal feels tacked on. while I see Bobbie playing Krystal very wishy washy. One minute she Mrs. David Hayward -- the next minute, she's hemmin' and hawin' about the status of her relationship with David. Which makes perfect sense. Krystal is wishy washy. Instead of getting help she's clung to David but has a hard time dealing with David's extremes. She likes David as a person but his extremes turn her off especially since it underlines stuff everyone's already told her would be a problem with David. I'd much rather watch her sell this as Krystal loving a "bad" man, than Krystal kinda sorta maybe loving a man she kinda sorta maybe sees as being good, but kinda sorta maybe has bad qualities... To me Bobbie plays Krystal as not able to deal with those she's burned bridges with & unable to turn a blind eye to David's issues. Vincent plays David like he doesn't care if Krystal stays or goes. Krystal should NOT be surprised by that. She shouldn't but it's not a given she would've chosen him had he not drugged her. Had TPTB treated them like partners it would've been fine but the way it is now it's David The Evil Doctor & Krystal The Desperate Housewife. Like if House & Edie got married.
